We were planning an event in our backyard and had rented the chairs from Standard a few weeks back. This past week with all of the rain we decided to get a tent just in case. They were accommodating and came out to measure to make sure everything would fit. Day of install they where on time and very professional. We did not end up meeting tent as it did not rain until the day after the party but the tent really rounded up the decor and was part of the vibe for the evening. We had my Retirement Party at the Hilton and needed chair covers as with Sash for making bows. And we called Standard Event Rentals, and they were So Very "Helpful" ..... All right, here's the deal. I placed an order for chairs for an event. I am not going to mention the employees name, but something went south in email land. I may have been too hard on the employee, she may have done everything right. Somehow an email was lost, and she didn't want to deal with me. She transferred me to her manager, Malina. I needed charis the next morning for an event, and Malina stepped up. My charis were delivered, and the event was a success. Without Malina's intervention I would have been scrambling. read more

We didn't realize the property had a hill, and the team problem solved the situation and made sure everything was delivered smoothly! Their team was very communicative and great to work with! These guys are great! I got married at a private home up in a very remote part of El Dorado county. So basically, I had to rent everything in. And they had it all. And they drove it all the way there and also set up the most gorgeous lighting I've ever seen. And promptly took it down the next morning. I would highly recommend. Great customer service. I'll start with a high rating even before I hire the equipment! Why?!? CUSTOMER SERVICE! I attempted to connect with several vendors and these folks jumped on it day one! I had a quote within 2 hours and while they were not the cheapest, they were the most professional. Other vendors responded days later. We rented a dance floor for our wedding. Overpriced for such a small dance floor. Additionally, we asked for a specific delivery time and date as well as pickup time and date. Workers there failed to inform us that requesting for a specific delivery and pick up time is an additional $700 which is ridiculous. You say the word wedding and they just throw in a bunch of unnecessary fees. They also failed to tell us that there is a credit card fee. We felt gypped and weren't told any of this information prior. Lastly, our dance floor was assembled so horribly that it started to fall apart DURING our wedding. They were only open Monday through Friday. We picked up our chairs for our wedding on Sunday but realized on Saturday that we were short a chair. Fortunately they answered my emails and were able to deliver the missing chair prior to the even on Sunday read more

We used Standard Party Rentals for our wedding in October 2019. As an event coordinator I have worked with this company before and was happy with the results so I requested my work contact, Mike to be in charge of my wedding rentals. They offer a variety of furniture and event supplies for all occasions. Mike's communication was fast and clear. I made ALOT of changes: date of the wedding, number of guests (cut in half!), and even the style of the wedding went from backyard farmhouse to harvest chic. Mike never made me feel like a Bridezilla and was always there to help. He sent over detailed layouts and continuously confirmed that we had everything we needed. All of the rentals we used for our wedding were above our expectations. Our tent was the hit of the party. It really set our wedding apart from any wedding we have seen. Maribeth was all over it. From her email correspondence, to following up on her phone and even showing up the day the tent was being setup and the rest of the rentals were being delivered. She went above and beyond and really made the whole process so much easier to deal with. Weddings can be very stressful and that was just one less thing to have to worry about. We can't praise Maribeth and Standard Party Rentals enough. We have used them many times in the past and will continue for our future events. We highly recommend. read more

Standard emailed us to confirm our order less then 2 weeks before an event . I responded the next morning and the following day (today)I was informed that they cannot comply with my order due to staffing shortages and suggested doing a "will call" and see what happens. I spoke with Maribeth and was told it's not their fault and there was nothing they could do. I let Maribeth know how unhappy I was and what a bind it puts us in and as I spoke she hung up on me. After being a customer for 12 years we will NEVER use them again. Sadly you can't put zero stars. read more

I'm truly disappointed with this company. It's taken OVER A WEEK to get two responses from this company. I have sent a dozen of emails throughout the week asking questions, asking for quotes, etc. they originally had me book through the Richmond location when I'm closer to Modesto. They said it was an issue on their end and transferred me to the Modesto location. I have gotten 1 response from a person at the Richmond location and one response from a person at the Modesto location. I'm truly very frustrated and won't be doing business here. I called to figured out what was going on and they told me they would call me back and never did. I'm truly disappointed!!! read more

I'm sorry, but most people work Monday through Friday earlier than 9 and later than 4! Had to cancel an event because of these people! Over your fear and unwillingness to work! No stars but had to give them 1 to post. I had made an order on a Saturday morning and needed to cancel my order by the following Wednesday due to a change in family planning. They would not refund my total deposit due to their policy of withholding 50% of deposit within 30 days of event. My event was two weeks away from the day I ordered my party resources! I will not recommend this location to friends. Events and plans change all the time and giving away money for no services rendered is absurd and plain bad business. I will not ever recommend this business for anyone hosting an event. read more

We used Standard Party Rentals for our wedding on June 1st, 2019. We worked with Maribeth and she was very helpful in getting us all of our rentals that we needed. There was never a point where they ran out of anything that we wanted and they were even able to get us nicer rentals at a discount price. Everything had worked out well before our wedding, but a family member went to pick up a few tables, linens, runners, cups, and napkins only to find out that this place forgot to give us our napkins, runners, and sweetheart table. They also gave us dirty cups. A family member went to pick everything up around 3, and had our rehearsal dinner at 4, so we started setting up around 6. They were closed at that time so we couldn't go to ask for the stuff they forgot to give us. This situation was stressful for us. The day before our wedding date was already stressful enough, but my MIL went to them first thing in the morning to talk to them. They refunded our money and gave us the napkins and sweetheart table. We didn't use the runners and my family spent their Saturday morning cleaning the cups for our guests to use. Make sure they give you everything if you decide to book them. read more

We used them for our wedding reception last Spring and loved the service we received and the options they had available for us. They were the most flexible in terms of drop off/pick up times compared to other companies in the area that offer vintage/rustic style rentals. The office staff was great and the drop off team was very professional and enjoyable to work with. They didn't leave until all the furniture was placed exactly how we wanted it.
