But after it happening every single time I come in, it no longer feels like a coincidence. What's been especially hurtful is seeing her treat other (white) customers with warmth and friendliness, only to become cold and dismissive when it's my turn. As a fellow brown person, it's incredibly disheartening to feel like I'm being discriminated against for my skin tone by someone from my own community. I didn't want to believe it at first, but after so many visits with the same treatment, I feel compelled to say something. In addition the Best By date was 7/2023. The life of salt water taffy is approximately 18 months. This is well beyond the best by date. Plus all the taffy that was seemingly edible was sour so again not the best quality. This is really not acceptable. Please do better. People are expecting a decent product at a fair price and not expecting to have to look at expiration or best by dates when purchasing at an event.

I live next to the rodents farm in Riverbank but have never been to the store in downtown Modesto…read more So we stopped in and of course we had to get some of their nuts. They have a lot of options in there, and they definitely take up every bit of the space in the store. This is a great place to go if you want to get the prepackaged nuts and jellies, etc. But for fresh fruit, I would definitely recommend their Riverbank location.
