What's there to not like about this place?? I've been here a couple times in my life & every experience has been good so far. I've had their shakes and scoops of ice cream, as well as bits of different other flavors from my family. The only drawback is that this place can get super busy, but I can't let that make my rating lower. Of course they'll be busy, they're great! NOT HAVE AGAIN: Single for $7 was an adequate size, but would have been nice if they allowed two flavors in the cup - they don't. Rocky Road was just ok and I would not have it again even though Rocky Road is one of my favorite flavors. The kid's hot fudge sundae had almost NO hot fudge and none on top of the ice cream. Super disappointed. We are local, come in a lot during the summer months. Had had a busy start to our summer this year so last night was our first. Bummed by some obvious changes. 1. Ice cream offerings are fewer. 2. Ice cream flavors still on menu are clearly not the same distributor or maker than previously: raspberry sorbet is 1000000% not the same as it was last year. 3. Whipped cream is terrible and oily. 4. Size of scoop has also gotten smaller which is crazy for a $7 scoop. Not to mention ordering 2 scoops in cups took an awfully long time to get. I was checking out this part of Ripon and what caught my attention the most was Ice Cream Emporium. This was an amazing ice cream spot that I didn't expect. It was a toasty day so some large servings of ice cream hit the spot. Just don't tell my doctor. The interior of this store also impressed me with the pink walls and the vintage elements throughout the store. It is a big space too which is nice when you don't want to be outside in the heat melting your ice cream. The inside of the store made me feel like I was traveling back in time while they played music from a time way before I was born. This place was PACKED with families coming for a Sunday afternoon. The customer service here is also amazing and friendly. From the cashier to the person bringing our ice cream to our table. What blew my mind was also the portions of even the kid's and single scoops. The kid's scoops are only $4, but they are so big. I've been to some places where the single scoops are so small that you can see into the bottom of your cup. They are very generous with their servings. Single Scoop of Cookies and Cream ($5). They have some great flavor options and nothing out of the ordinary, but their Cookies and Cream is out of this world. It was filled with soft and chewy oreo bits and this flavor had more oreo bits than any other ice cream shop I have been to. For $5 and that portion you get for a single scoop, it's an absolute steal to me. This spot is definitely at the top of my list for go-to dessert options in Ripon. Which isn't a lot of options, but it's still at the top at least. Ice Cream Emporium is absolutely worth going to whenever you are in San Joaquin County. read more

It has an early 1900s vibe going. They play music from the 50s and 60s. They have adorable decor throughout the parlor. They have plenty of tables/seats inside. They also have a few tables/seats outside. It's a good thing we came at the time that we did because the crowd started to pick up. My hubby and I ordered the Gold Dust Sundae to share, which is mint cookie ice cream, hot fudge, gold flakes, whipping cream and cherry on top!
