I guess she didn't think that I was their mother maybe she thought I was a sibling because I do look quite Young my husband had to leave me behind in the fires because he's the one that flies the helicopters that fight fires sometimes. He's supposed to fly today that's why he had to leave me early this morning and couldn't wait for me to follow behind because he had a training flight day and night goggle visions tonight. So i took a detour to get back home would have been us going to Murphy's and going around. I wanted a pound of chocolate but I couldn't see how much it was per pound I think it was $14 dollars for half a pound but my eyes were burning and I didn't have glasses so I couldn't see I didn't even get a half pound or a full pound and then after I picked my chocolates she kept coughing over my chocolates I don't understand such a sweet little old lady why would she be not very pleasant to someone that's buying chocolates to make a happy day for someone. I'm a military wife just trying to make the best days out of days that are not so happy. I still ate the chocolate even though she coughed on them Lol I have an immune system problem and if she was sick I could get very sick because I have a weak immune system. I was ready to spend $100 cash but my older son pulled me away and said let's go mom because i was acting like a little girl in the candy shop not paying attention how rudely I was being treated. maybe you should remember making treats and candies are supposed to be a pleasant thing because when you cook you cook with love and generosity to show love towards others that's the model that i live by. because that's how our heavenly father teaches us to be kind to others.

I love an independent candy store!…read more While visiting Columbia Park, we stopped into Nelson's per our friend's recommendation. The inside was lined on both sides with some many different candies - I was almost overwhelmed! They had fresh fruit jellies, dark and milk chocolates, rock candy, marshmallows - I could go on and on! We took home the jellies, dark chocolate almond bark, a discounted Valentine's Day chocolate heart box, handmade marshmallows and a couple of other goodies! Staff were friendly! The inside had an old western feel to it and they even had old school cash registers. It's a great place to pick up a gift and they have different holiday options - I even saw St. Patrick's Day candy out already! Check them out!

My favorite chocolates they make are pine nut rolls - which are also around the winter holidays. They always theme their shop around the season or holiday, and it's always well done and incredibly cute. The girls who work there are so friendly and helpful, and every time I've gotten candy as a gift for someone, their wrapping job is exquisite. I'm a local and it's a struggle not to just come get candy here every week. I recently went sugar free and they've even got something for me. Would absolutely recommend anyone stop in, they've got options for just about anyone.

From the moment you walk through the door, there's a nostalgic charm that makes you smile. The shop is filled with delightful chocolates, candies, caramel apples, fun trinkets, and charming gifts that are perfect to take home--or keep for yourself! And then there's the ice cream... so many delicious flavors to choose from! The staff are just as sweet as the treats, warm, friendly, and welcoming. A little candy, a scoop of ice cream, a cute keepsake, and a whole lot of nostalgia--what's not to love? Definitely a must-stop when you're in the area. It's a place where the past feels deliciously present! P.S. Don't forget to stop by the Yosemite Falls Trading Post Shop right next door, too! Lots of little things to purchase lots of local locals, getting ice cream and lots of people coming down from Yosemite pulling over to grab a cold treat. I recommend it a nice lady behind the counter was super nice.
