I've used A & L in the past, as long as 30 years ago. Unfortunately this time around, it seems they've fallen to the status quo of most company's these day of terrible customer service. After placing a very simple order, I received nothing for a week as far as timeline or even a quote. I called back with a very clear & detailed description of what I needed a second time, again, nothin back whatsoever after a week (knowing this was for a wedding coming up). after calling back, thinking it may be ready for pick-up, they again had no idea what the details were of my order, so frustrated, I gave up. On top of that, when I told her we had already gone through the detentions and order details twice already, she chewed me out as if I was being difficult with her because she was the only one doing everything!! I've been chairing a Christmas Tree Lot fundraiser for my children's elementary school the last couple years and have had occasion to work with A&L on a few tent purchases. The most unique product they've helped us with was a custom modification to their 20x40 tent roof truss layout that allowed us to incorporate a new roof truss along one side of the tent. This allows us to eliminate one leg pole and have a 20-ft wide opening rather than just a 10-ft opening. This was particularly helpful as it lets us easily move Christmas trees in and out of that section of the tent for cutting and installing stands. On our most recent order of a replacement 20x40 tent top, they even went so far as to make special modifications of the tent top to allow it to work well with our truss modification and an adjoining tent without us even asking, or really even realizing this would be useful. Talk about thoughtful service! Not only have A&L been extremely helpful, accommodating and timely on servicing our requests, but they've also been very considerate with their pricing knowing that we are operating as a school fundraiser. I'll continue to use A&L whenever possible and don't hesitate to give them my highest recommendation. read more

Called them at least 6 times to purchase a tent for my business. Each time I was told they would call me back. I have money in hand ready to pay. No call back. Terrible service. Don't know about rentals but buying what a shame. I wanted their product. If they didn't want to sell to me they could have simply said sorry we don't want your money. read more

I called A & L this week after the weather report for the weekend of my daughters first birthday called for rain. I was hoping to rent, or buy some vinyl tent sides to close in my patio so the birthday could go on. I was sure this wasn't going to happen because I was only giving them 1 weeks notice. To my surprise not only did they have exactly what we wanted, they were able to custom fabricate everything to fit my patio perfectly. They made it all happen in 48 hours. I am so grateful that we found A & L Products! Our son's wedding was held at Pageo Lavender Farms in Turlock on April 9. Prior to hearing about A&L Products, i had reserved tents through another event company in Modesto. Unfortunately, the Modesto company required a 25% deposit that we would lose if we cancelled our order within 30 days of the event. Of course no one can predict weather conditions 30 days out so we lost our deposit ($750). The final straw was then being told that if we didn't make a complete commitment for the tents one week before the wedding, we would have to pay the full amount! Ultimately I found A & L Products and completely cancelled the other vendor. Ardis at A & L was a joy to work with; she dedicated several hours sending me pictures of various tent choices and configurations. Now with only four days before the wedding, she offered to meet with us at the venue and draw a plan that would meet our wedding size. Ultimately, Ardis did not charge us a deposit and she gave us up to the last minute (day before the event) so we were confident we would need the tents. The tent delivery was seamless as A&L worked directly with Pageo and we had a deluge of rain on wedding day! My daughter got married October 7th which turned out to be a beautiful day. Last year when we were planning my daughters wedding we were told to plan for rain just in case. I looked at a few tent rentals and A & L was the easiest to deal with. One Modesto rental company wanted a crazy non refundable deposit down. How do you know what the weather will be like 1yr in advance? We decided to go with A& L . We dealt with Ardis and she made this process so easy. She met us at the venue months in advance and drew us up a few plans, with no deposit down yet I might add. Two weeks before the wedding I needed to give her a deposit. The weather forecast was suppose to be great so we decided against tents. One week before the wedding the forecast was 50% chance of rain. I called Ardis and she was able to come up with a plan for tents. Three days prior to the wedding the forecast changed again for no rain. I called Ardis again to cancel. She was so understanding. Their professionalism is by far the best out there. They were willing to work with me thru this whole process without any pressure. A & L and Ardis are amazing to work with. Their tents look beautiful BTW. I would definitely choose them again with any tent needs!!! read more
