Great food Valley Brewing as always! Would have had a full five stars from me but the server was a bit inattentive after we received our food. He started out decent but then seemed to lose interest in waiting his tables. We had to go ask at the bar for to-go boxes and then still waiting for our check to arrive. Luckily the food is on fire and I've had good service in the past so I know it's usually much better. Young guy just needs to focus more. Came here to watch the Super Bowl before we went to an event at UoP. Looks like your typical sports bar with high top tables and lots of TVs so you can sit anywhere and there will be a screen nearby. Lots of beers on tap. Full bar. Service was good. We had 1 server but there were 3 of them working and walking around to check on you or help you if you need anything. They had a special Super Bowl menu. We ordered: Ribs - They were decent. Came with fries, potato salad (or coleslaw). Hotdog - It was okay. I wish it were cooked more. Came with a bowl of chili (not canned), tortilla chips, and a corn muffin. From their regular menu, we ordered: The Cobb Salad - huge serving with loads of great toppings. For dessert, we tried the cherry pie. It came back warmed but it was still cold in the center. They had no problems reheating it for longer. That was nice. Pie should always have ice cream. We came here for dinner on a Saturday and we were very surprised about the service and food. MyLu was exceptional and so polite. Our favorite date night! I usually go for the Waylon burger but tonight I got the tritip sandwich and it did not disappoint. I hadn't been to Valley Brew in years and to my pleasant surprise, it was excellent! I'm not sure if there are new owners since my last visit, but the restaurant was much better than I remembered it being. The service was a 10/10! Our waiter was very nice and attentive, but not over the top. Our food came out in a timely manner, all cooked to order and exactly what we had asked for. The food quality was great. Considering that most of what we ordered was bar food, nothing was overly greasy or heavy. The food was all nicely seasoned and not too salty. The overall dining experience was great! The casual and relaxing atmosphere made for an enjoyable place to have a late lunch. We were able to visit, watch a little football and enjoy some drinks and good company. We were seated promptly given menus. We sat figure out the menu small writing and lighting made it hard to read menu. We were able to look over the menu and look at it again and another time. No one came to ask us about drinks or offer us water. We waited and waited. Started seeing some staff moving and start to interact with folks that were seated well after we came in. At that point after a long wait with no staff interaction we felt it was time to leave and find different restaurant to dine at. Hostess ask what had happened and we said absolutely nothing. We've been regulars at Valley Brew for a long time and have always had good experiences--until last night. The place was busy, which we completely understand, but that's no excuse for how we were spoken to. A young man working the bar was rude and dismissive, and it really soured the visit. Customer service matters, especially for loyal customers. Unfortunately, this experience was bad enough that we took our business elsewhere. We came here for a Stockton Kings season ticket holder event 10 minutes after the event started. The place was packed and there was no seating to be found (not Valley Brewing's fault, it just wasn't a good venue for this type of event). The menu looked good and the refrigerator up front stored their signature mini-pie desserts that are featured on their menu. It was a nice place, although small. We stayed for 30 minutes, but left when no tables or seats at the bar ever became available. We'll try it again someday. read more

Service 5/5 I came for a private event and our server lady was friendly and kind. Food: 3/5 we got nachos and a quesadilla as starters, no one really ate them. Just basic food. Fantastic food! The Waylon burger was great. My onion rings were not quite as hot as I would have liked, but they were delicious and I still ate them all. We were there on a Friday night and they only had one waitress hosting all the tables!! Poor lady was busy rushing around. Hopefully they will find someone to help or plan better next time. Totally disgusting place to eat the food handler has poor hygiene sneezed so hard he had snot running down his face when he was over the French fry bowl that he was seasoning never stopped to clean his face nor wash his hands. me and my son went there for lunch and I decided to just council are order. but a week before we had went there with a large group of retired people from work I was socializing so i never paid attention to the cooks in the back window or else I probably wouldn't have ordered any food definitely Not going to have my husband's retirement party there. this turned me off to where I don't ever want to eat at any restaurants again just because they should be wearing gloves number one and if you sneeze you should throw away the food that you're preparing and go clean your face and wash your hands. read more

I'm pleasantly surprised how much I liked it here. The waylon burger, which was a waygu beef patty with cheddar cheese, bacon, fried onion, roasted jalapeños & bbq sauce was juicy and cooked perfectly. The fries were crispy and their beer selection was plentiful. What really hooked me was their service. Our server was so friendly and super patient with our group of 3. She let us try as many samples of beers as we wanted. Side note to Valley Brew: please print your beer selection on a menu, it is so hard to see what you have on the chalkboard that's up on the wall. My sister's bf had to take a picture of it for me so I can zoom in on it. Thanks! I kind of want to see what this place is like on a busy night just to compare what our service would be like since we were the only group here for lunch this visit. I grew up in Stockton and this is probably my 2nd time coming here. I can't even remember what the first time was like or how long ago it was. It's been years since I've been to Valley Brew since I no longer live in Stockton but came back to see if it was still as good as I remembered and it was! The food was delicious and they were not stingy on their portion sizes which was a plus! We had the Cobb salad, chicken wings and BLT sandwich. The fries had a special seasoning which were yummy with ranch dressing. And of course, had to order a beer, Voodoo Hazy was so good! A few friends and I came here to catch the Niners game. I loved how open the place felt! We ordered the calamari, garlic cheese fries, a patty melt, and some pitchers (a no brainer). Everything was pretty tasty and satisfying. They have so many options for their beers, we didn't know where to start!! We ended up getting the apricot and berry, with berry being our favorite one. This place has a plethora of beer options. My favorites are the Altamonte Beer Works IPAs. Their food is decent, we typically get the calamari appetizer and my main entree I enjoy their steak sandwich or fish & chips. Yesterday was our first time back to Valley Brew since our first date with my current spouse. And we had as good a time as the first time. This time we went with another couple and they were very impressed with the place too. We all had sandwiches and burgers and there were no complaints. Our waitress was was excellent as well. Her knowing and suggestions as for what to order were very appreciated. The place has a very wide selection of beers on tap as well a some very delicious ciders. VB didn't have great reviews but I wanted to hit brewery #210 and this was it. Great patio area and large restaurant area as well. I was with a business associate (sounds important doesn't it?). We sat inside and to my dismay I was told they weren't doing flights. What?!? Why no flights?!!!! Ok, deep breaths... I went with the Indian Red first in honor of SWPFTD, then followed it up with the London Tavern. The tavern was a nice English bitter. No a bitter isn't really bitter, so don't worry if you're new to beer. We also had dinner there which we both enjoyed. I was surprised VB didn't have better reviews based on my experience. To each their own though, I thought VB was pretty good. It's been years since I've eaten at Valley Brew. We were in the area looking for lunch and decided on VB today. We were greeted right away by Maloo (not sure how to spell her name). She was very friendly. I ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and was surprised when we got it because not only was it delicious, the portion was huge! I ordered the chicken sandwich with a side salad. I couldn't even eat my salad because my sandwich was so big. Chicken was perfectly seasoned and it was just a really good chicken sandwich. My brother ordered the burger and he said it was one of the best burgers he's had in a while. Sister ordered the chicken strips and they were delicious too. Stopped by here for a quick bite and drink before heading to the Ports baseball game. I was mostly interested in trying the house beers they brew. I went with the IPA and wasn't disappointed. It was mostly empty on this Friday when I walked in but business started picking up as the day went on. The crowd wasn't really what I was expecting for a brewery (age wise) but I guess it isn't a brewery? It's more like a restaurant that brews their own beer? Maybe I sat in the wrong area? I walked up to the bar and grabbed a seat not knowing otherwise. The decor inside is incredible if you're a sports fan. Lots of interesting pieces on the walls of all teams and leagues. I have so many memories of Valley Brew. It's such a nice place to kick back and relax. One can watch a game on one of the tv's, sit at the bar or outside. Their menu has dramatically been reduced after COVID though. They used to have a lot more things to choose from.
