Nice cozy place in downtown lodi- Parking is street parking or garage parking- on busy nights and weekends it may be a little chore to find a spot. B and H has a good selection of beers of all types, a beer fridge you can buy and sit and drink them, and an okay selection of wine with prices that doesn't give you a heart attack. There's not really any table service, you just belly up to the bar, but they help you pretty fast. It was fairly clean and the ambience is quaint. Give it a try! They have lots of events there.
We dropped in Saturday around 5:30pm after the wineries. Not busy at all. They have good hazies, seltzers and sours. We sat at the bar area. The seltzer was pricey though. Casual beer place.
Really enjoyed our time at Brix and Hops! They have a great selection of craft beers and wines, and the atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming. Staff was friendly and helpful when it came to recommendations. There's a good amount of seating both inside and out, which made it easy to relax and hang out for a while. Only reason for the four stars instead of five is the wine list lacked solid choices. It seemed like a great spot to unwind. Definitely looking forward to coming back!
In Lodi working and since my sister lives here we decided to meet herefor a drink. Great atmosphere, i felt welcomed right away and struck up away.
How have I not reviewed this place? I know I say that a lot... I love this place. I love that the taps are constantly changing so there's always something new to try. They also have pretty much a beer for everyone. If you're not into beer, there's also a handful of ciders and seltzers. They also have a good wine list. I'm also a big fan of the trivia nights and bingo nights, I go frequently with friends and get bummed when I cant make one. The prizes are great although my team doesn't do well for the most part, its still a lot of fun and its free. Plus there's always a dog there... You can go wrong with that. This place is okay - it has a decent vibe and semi decent selection on tap . Wish maybe there was more sours and a lot more local breweries. I have also experienced 2 bartenders , 1 a bit more friendly than the other . I wished they maybe talked a little bit more to the customers to have a more welcoming feel .
Stopped by on our way to our car as we were just about to call it a night. I saw the inside bustling with people and became curious when a lady sitting on the patio said to us, "It's a vibe!" And I was sold. Awesome beer selection, and everyone was friendly and chill inside. We were visiting town for a wedding and this was a great welcome from Lodi. A beautiful husky/mastiff mix came to greet us and was such a cutie. I ordered the Flatlands Georgia Mentality, a sour beer that tasted like a peach cobbler, and I think this is one of my favorite beer! We didn't stay long since we had so much to eat and drink already, but I recommend anyone looking for a cozy, friendly local brew spot to check out Brix & Hop!
Choose to spend your money somewhere else, especially if you are a person of color. There are a lot of choices should you be in Downtown Lodi and this place does not deserve your money. For example, go to Scotto's right next door when they have a live performer. It will be much better than deciding to go here. Here are the cliff notes: - The patrons were nice and enjoyable. - There was a person from Lucas wine offering free tastings. He was a little full of himself, but he was extremely knowledgeable at what he did, and gave me some game about wine. At the end of my tasting before we were getting ready to leave I even bought a bottle. - As we were getting ready to leave, our friends had just left and we were getting ready, my husband was told he had to leave. I was never told I had to leave and didn't know he was told to leave until after we were in the patio outside. On the patio I asked why my husband was asked to leave and was told that we were both asked to leave because we were both too intoxicated. We were already outside. I asked why I was sold a bottle of wine if I was deemed too intoxicated to be in there and was told that because I wasn't drinking it they could sell it to me, which has so many levels of unethical I don't even want to get started. I asked what my husband specifically did so I could understand why he was initially asked to leave. I was provided no answer and was told that if we didn't leave they would call the cops. We said that if we were not provided an answer for what he did we would wait for the cops. - We were never provided an answer for what either of us actually did, never given what specific drunken behavior led to my husband being forcibly removed from the street. - When she called the police my husband's description was a black male ASSAILANT (this means you provided physical harm to someone - which he NEVER did) wearing a Sombrero. He had a brim hat on. Not even close to a sombrero. I will show the photo of his hat. Our night was ruined. We have lived in Lodi for 3 years and this was the first time we went out downtown together on the weekend and it resulted in my black husband being arrested for a reason I will never be given. Do not go here. (As an aside, we went here for Valentine's Day last year, on a weekday evening and were constantly being interrupted by a drunk man with a dog that made my husband and I very uncomfortable. I was Nice to the man, we never told the bar tender he made me so uncomfortable he needed to leave, we just kept on with our evening. No irrational escalation to involve the police for some drunk person bothering us on our Valentine's Day date together.) Do NOT spend your money here to support this place. Go somewhere else.
By far my most favorite bar, the staff is great and not to mention to have Pliny the elder, my favorite drink and the sticker decorated tables are great.

I've missed hanging out somewhere and drinking craft beer, maybe doing a little football watching here, a little trivia playing there. Brix & Hops has proved to be that place for me. I can count on beers I actually like (German ones. Dark ones. Stronk ones. Not IPA ones.) and rotating taps. Bags of chips but no food here. They don't seem to mind if you bring food in, at least for Wednesday night trivia. Don't quote me on it. Also. There is wine here. There are dogs. Inside and out. Woof. Trivia night was fun. Wednesdays at 6:30, every two weeks. Four categories, ten questions per category. Grade another team's paper like school. We killed the blue movies category last week. Trivia master is def a movie guy. I would come back for this trivia format, yes. This was also a good spot to watch the niner game a few weeks back. Back when we were winning. Sigh. TVs everywhere, lots of seating inside and out. That said, it's a busy popular spot full of regulars so if you want a seat for a game or event, come early. I want to come back for music bingo or vinyl night. Bring your own vinyl. Color me intrigued. Not sure what music people listen to here but I have options. They have a lot of cool stuff happening here. Mostly friendly vibes, great beer selection on local craft AND imports. Bathroom report: it's whatever. Reminds me of midtown with the jankiness but I may just be prior-homesick. I wandered into a nearby storeroom for tp one night but there was ? more tp inside the b room that I missed. Oops. read more
Brix & Hops has by far the best craft beer selection in Lodi. Whether you like ipa's, sours, stouts, or anything in between Brix & Hops has it. The service here is great. You're order id taken as soon as you sit at the bar and any questions you might have about anything on the menu is expertly answered. I ordered a detestable ipa from Ghost town brewing. It was like every other ghost town beer that I have had in the past..... absolutely delicious! Food ( other than a couple of small snacks) isn't available but you are welcome to bring in outside food. Also, if there is something that you really enjoyed there is a chance that you may be able to take it home because they have beers to go as well. read more

How have I not reviewed this place? I know I say that a lot... I love this place. I love that the taps are constantly changing so there's always something new to try. I'm not 100% sure if I love more the atmosphere or the service, actually it's both . Mr. Gage the Bartender is totally the best , the menu is amazing , I love the LVVR Brut, this location is pinnacle Lodi, comfortable, pet friendly & artistic. Your going to love it here. read more

one of my favorite places to stop in for a beer. every time i come in there's new ones to try. the staff is incredible and always makes the environment amazing. definitely a great place to come for a good time with friends! can't say enough great thing about brix! read more

My favorite tap house in Lodi hands down. Whether you are a beer person or wine this is a win win location. The staff is amazing and friendly, the manager is the best, very accommodating and they are pet friendly which is a plus. I mean, having a nice cold beer/wine while petting some cute poochers, It can't get better than that! I truly recommend you stopping by. You won't regret it!!! read more

5 stars thanks to the service, we had a women that was apparently a regular starting an argument with us because we are "millennials" who "don't know what it's like to be poor" LISTEN LINDA. No one needs to hear that assumption, especially when you come up to us out of random. The bartenders were more than aware of the situation and offered a free drink from all the fake snowballs she threw at us as well as some slander. Y'all should just kick that woman out, if it isn't obvious now she makes others not want to come into your establishment. The servers/bartenders were amazing, kind and understanding when we hadn't even complained. A+ for service! read more
Brix & Hops is a casual, divey place to grab a drink and talk to friends, especially if you want to catch up before heading out to the bars. With a decent selection of beers, wine, & one hard kombucha, the drinks that my friends and I got were all good for a decent price. I would recommend going here to anyone who wants to spend time with people and have a drink or two! Wouldn't recommend for a pregame for a large group or if you're hungry. read more
