I just went in to check it out and they told me about the 50% off I ended up ordering a cocktail because they were really nice and the place was super cute. So far I have had excellent service. It's very clean it looks like it's brand new basically I love the decorations it's not too crowded the street parking was not too hard to find it's free after 5:00 p.m. except for Sundays and holidays. Located right in the heart of downtown Lodi, Scotto's has an open-air tasting room with outside seating. The day we visited, there was live music! A duo was doing cover songs and it added to the warm ambiance. Their tasting menu I believe was $15 and the fee is waived with the purchase of two (!!!) bottles. Personal rant, yeah maybe I'm old school, or maybe just old, but I recall the days when tastings were complimentary. I can see a tasting fee waived with one bottle purchase, but two seems a bit out of reach. You can choose four wines from a list of six. I love Lodi reds so I went straight there. The 2021 Pinot Noir ($30) was well-rounded, with berry and cherry notes. It was my favorite. Their 2020 red wine blend ($30) had a savory aroma on the nose, nothing really stood out for me. Next their Heavyweight 2021 Cab ($25) I found to be well-balanced and fruity, which is typical of the region for Cab. Finally their 2020 Petite Sirah ($30) had floral notes, lots of tannin and could probably lay this one down for a few years. Overall a great spot to spend an afternoon downtown. Honestly it's probably the best option if you want to try some Lodi wines and are downtown. read more

Scotto's is a cute little wine bar with a great selection of ciders and wines. They also offer snacks like popcorn, chips, and mini charcuterie boards. The ciders were a bit too sweet for me, but they did have a great red blend that I really enjoyed, as well as a spiked hot chocolate that was absolutely delicious. The space is very clean and they offer multiple games to play while you enjoy your drink. The service was great too, our server was very knowledgeable about the different wines and ciders they offered. Right now, they also have an added experience: a Christmas trolley that takes you around town to look at holiday lights. It was a lot of fun, and you're even allowed to bring your wine on the trolley! I'd definitely recommend Scotto's if you're looking for a chill spot to enjoy wine or cider. read more

Exploring Lodi with family. We didn't realize Lodi had become a huge winery scene. After visiting a couple of wineries, we visited downtown Lodi. Scotto's caught our attention as they have cider tastings, in addition to wines. Plenty of tables and we found ourselves in a welcoming environment. They have a variety of tasting options - maybe a bit on the pricey side, however. Although I really wanted to try the ciders, I decided to go with the Sparkle & POP tasting instead. Different, and I enjoyed the various cocktails offered. We were happy to find an "alcohol removed" wine tasting since there were some family members who were not drinkers. Let's start off with having cotton candy with your bubbly is a must! It's looks cute and is great combination with a sparkling wine or champagne. This wine bar is in downtown Lodi and street parking is your only option. I believe it's 90 mins in most spaces. I partner and I were back in town for the vet at my grad school and we had to check out my favorite little spots. We had an hour until our olive oil tasting so we strolled into Scotto's. Holly greeted us with a smile that was infectious so we sidled up to the bar and dove into the menu. She shared the highlights of the menu and we made our choices. I thought the Chardonnay Peach sounded lovely and he had the Wild Cherry cider. A sip or two in and I quickly realized the peach was mostly vanilla - nice but not something I'd order again. I had the Chardonnay Pear and it was delightfully crisp and refreshing, exactly what I needed to jump start the afternoon. He enjoyed his cider...he would have had another but we had to jet to our next tasting. Had a terrific conversation with Holly and the manager - a load of fun and some good laughs for sure. It was a lazy Sunday afternoon and not expected to get busy until a little later so we were able to enjoy the convo and sipping in a great setting. I meant to grab a couple bottles of Rosé but darn it, I was in a hurry to make our next appointment...I rushed and forgot. My brain is crazy like that, but heck it gives us an excuse to go back! Delectable ciders, and loads of wine choices, the staff were super friendly I could have spent a couple hours there. P.S. Located in downtown Lodi with a nice cozy outdoor patio in front. Spacious and dark inside. We had some promotional discounts from the Oktoberfest so our tastings were complimentary and we got 30% off two bottles or cases of cider. I enjoyed learning about their family history off the website and each sibling had a tasting flight named after them. I had Anthony's flight which featured four red wines and my friend got Michael's flight which had two red wines and two ciders. We really liked the mango muscat hard cider and found the strawberry one a little bit artificial tasting. I preferred the Lodi Avenue Old Vine Zinfandel over the Scotto Old Vine Zinfandel so I brought a bottle of that home along with the Malbec. Without the discount I probably wouldn't have gotten the Malbec. A fun way to see Lodi since I had never been in the downtown area before. read more

This place is adorable! I came on a cold December day with some of my best friends to celebrate my birthday. I tried the wild cherry cider which was super tasty and my friend had the mango jalapeño cider which was TO DIE FOR! The jalapeño wasn't overpowering at all. Stopped in on a HOT Saturday afternoon while waiting on my friend who was getting a haircut at a nearby barber. The space was open , modern and thankfully very cool! It was about 230pm and relatively quiet when i arrived . I took a seat at the bar and the hostess quickly greeted me with a smile and was super friendly. She was quite accommodating and let me choose my own flight that consisted of 2 wines and 2 hard ciders. She let me taste samples of wine , a Rose, and even a Creamsicle drink sample. She also served us a brie and fig jam cracker that paired with the wines really well. We liked the pear pinot grigio and the sparkling wine so well that we bought a bottle & a can to take with us. At 3pm a guitarist set up and started playing smooth jazz which just added to the Ambience of the establishment. After this the crowd started picking up but our server continued to check in on us. This is a great place to drink and just hang out. It was pretty busy when we got there at 3pm on a Saturday but that didn't hinder service at all. The flights are great if you want a variety. The ciders and wine we tried were good and we were able to eat our treats that we got from Cheese Central but note, they do have a cheese/ meat platter as well. The only thing I wished is they played music.....it was pretty loud in there with people talking...it just would have been nice to hear some Music playing in the background. I feel a little spoiled with the tasting rooms we have in Sac and Camino but I like downtown Lodi nonetheless. The cider here is FANTASTIC. They have something for everyone's palette. I created my own flight and my two favorites were the strawberry and blueberry, so flavorful! I also tried the jalapeño mango just before we left and I could not believe how good it was! There were so many, I can't even remember which one I ended up choosing, I do know it was D E L I C I O U S. I am only a little bit upset I didn't get to get the "Fruit & Vine" pinot grigio they make, nor can I find it hardly anywhere anymore. They have a wine club, but no one bothered talking to me about it. Which I am a little bit feeling some kind of way. I love its downtown. Looking for something new one day while hanging out in Downtown and it was hot so we decided to check out the Scotts Cider. Upon entering we realized that the cider looked vaguely familiar... turns out it was. We had had some of their ciders up in Sutter Creek at Cinque which is the same family. I was really happy to see this as their ciders are really the only ones I enjoy because they aren't too sweet. We've been here 3 times already (I forgot to check in one time) and we have always been impressed. Its never been super busy and the customer services was good. The place is cute and there are plenty of places to sit. Everything is very clean and sleek but warm and inviting at the same time. Cider selection is always really good, theres really a flavor for everyone. And they're all so good! I really enjoyed the Mango Jalapeño which sounds scary but its really not very hot. Try it, I think you'll like it. The only weird thing is the flights that include wine and cider, I personally haven't tried it so maybe it is good? But I don't like the idea of mixing wine and ciders, just doesn't seem like a good combo for me. Overall this is a great place with great cider if you want a change. We've had some of the families' wines up in Sutter Creek but haven't gotten anywhere but we did like them. read more

After having a seat at the bar was immediately greeted by the super friendly staff. We decided to do a wine tasting first and here's a forewarning if you are with someone to split it because it's the equivalent on two healthy glasses of wine. The reason I say this if you enjoyed this by yourself could either set you up later for a drunk day that ends early or a bad ending to a wine tasting day. The reason I say this is you have to save room to sample some of their ciders.We tried the red, white and blue plus the jalapeño mango and while both were very good. One of our 'go to' stops when meandering about downtown Lodi! We love the vibe - a cool contemporary SF feel in at the bar or out on the patio (especially when it is fully open between the two areas). Janice makes the tasting room at Scotto's happening --- enthusiastic and engaging. The same goes with Holly after our recent visit. Besides their appreciated customer service, we also enjoyed their cider and wine selection. We like having the differing flavors of cider and/or when Janice blends them particularly on warm days.
