It's been sometime since my last visit here, but one of my favorites to visit wine tasting in Lodi. It's always a blast here and Oakridge wines are tasty and affordable. I love their Old vine Zins and their cabernet. You may have seen them in our local grocery stores. Service has never been bad here and I like their tasting room. Tastings are pretty affordable and plenty of room to visit. When I was last here we made friends with a few couples and ended up grabbing dinner afterwards. It was a whole vibe! I had a wonderful time at Oakridge Winery sampling their white and red wine flight! The wine hostess was very friendly and warm, informing us of all the different options available. Service was prompt. They had some snacks to choose from while we were enjoying our tasting. We had their habanero cheese and crackers but would have loved to see more options like soft cheeses, jams, olives, etc. The outdoor seating provided a great ambiance. read more

Sweet covered patio for tasting! On Saturday's they have live music. There are a fee lawn games that keep it fun. Wines overall were pretty good- went really just to taste the Ross Moxx line of wines but it was not on the tasting of the tasting of the day. Luckily we kindly asked and they gave us a small sample to try! We preferred the 2018 Ross Moxx VINTAGE Old Vin Zin but what we tasted was still pretty good. read more

You can't beat the price for a tasting here! Buying a bottle of wine is also an affordable option here. The staff were nice and helpful. They have plenty of outdoor space to enjoy your tasting. We had a bottle of Rosé that was crisp and light. They had a live band the day we went and also had a dessert food truck outside. One of the better Lodi wineries here. We walked in at Saturday 4:30pm for Memorial Day weekend. The winery closes at 5 so we rushed to get here since the wait time at Michael David set us back on our schedule. Luckily the staff still accommodated us. We also got lucky that they were promoting their new label so the tasting was complimentary just for that weekend. Some wines were lighter/bland and a few were flavorful. We liked the chardonnay and Pinot noir. Surprisingly the pinot noir tasted bold. We bought these 2 wine bottles after the tasting. Our tasting went past 5:00 a bit. We saw our lady kept looking at the time but she still let us revisit before we made decision on which wines to buy. She was very nice still. Their wine bottles are a very good price. There's outside seating or you can enjoy a standing up tasting at the counter inside tasting room. They even sell slushies like margarita and mimosa. I have never been to Oak Ridge Winery but have bought their "Old Soul " Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine itself was decent for the price therefore I bought 3 bottles. The first bottle when opened left pieces of cork residue in my glass, very unpleasant. I thought this was just an unfortunate fluke, unfortunately all 3 bottles left behind the same nasty debris spoiling the wine, confirming a defect in the cork design. As soon as we walked in we got greeted and were offered to stand inside or choose our seat outside. We choose outside seating. Our server greeted us within minutes and offered menus: You have the option to taste 5 wines. My husband is not a wine drinker but when he went to pay for the tasting he ended up buying 3 bottles :) They also have wine slushes, let me tell you wish I had more time to stay and enjoy a full glass rather than just a sampler size. read more

I have had oakridge wines like OZV. Their reds are big bad. Went to the winery/tasting room for the first time ever on 10/12/2024. The girl inside the tasting room said they were having an event which was open to Jon members as well. We could do the tasting inside or outside. It was a nice day so we chose to sit outdoors. We went to the bar area outside for our tasting. The girl who was outside was so rude. She rudely asked if we are members . And then said that we are supposed to pay for the tasting inside n they should give us a glass .well the girl inside said we could do the tasting outside n sent us out. This girl outside was like this is for members only. Then she called a lady who was actually sweet n charged us for our tasting outside and told this ride all life chick to give our tasting to us. Nothing was explained about the wine , she just poured it . Didn't smile or even apologize for her r rude behavior. Not sure if cuz we were brown skinned she had a problem with us . The entire time we are there , she never once smiled , tried to ask her abt bachelorette parties n she rudely said they dint do it . Needless to say, I can buy their wines at Costco. And I will never return here for tasting. If you work in the service industry then learn to provide good service. Rude staff are bad for business. read more

I used to absolutely love this place when Christine was the manager. Even shortly after she left. Now everything has gone down hill. The wine club is so different and it's not even monthly anymore. I cancelled my wine club because it didn't even make sense. It's more expensive for less wine???? I used to frequent this place, but lately I can't stand to be there. Most recently it's because they have a gnat problem. Millions of tiny bugs IN my wine glass! They weren't even doing tasting because of the issue, only bottle or glass which is not why I came. I only ever see one girl working hard lately. Her name is Melanie I believe. I never once have seen the manager come in and relieve the tasting room employees for their lunch, or even seen her come in during a rush. Tbh I've never even seen the manager, but I used to see the other managers fairly frequently or at least talk to them when I called. It makes me sad that my favorite winery has now become one that I never want to come back to. Christine, Melanie, Tori, and Gia were some of my favorite employees. Great service, good conversations, and knew their wine. I miss that era of Oak Ridge. I hope they figure out whatever this manager is doing and fix it so it can become a fun, reliable, organized, and CLEAN winery again. I definitely will not be coming back for a while. I keep giving them chances when oak ridge is failing miserably as of late. Hopefully it will be restored to the glory days soon. ): read more

We've been going wine tasting in the Lodi area for many years, but had never been to Oak Ridge before. We read up on the winery and the reviews and decided to give it a try today. We even packed a few charcuterie items for our day of tasting out, with very high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, the experience fell very short of expectations. When we pulled up, first impression was that it was a bit industrial looking, and not a quaint winery/ vineyard setting. But we didn't want to judge a book by its cover... When we walked into the tasting room, we weren't really warmly greeted. There were 2 employees at the counter; no other customers. It was kind of an awkward brief silent moment with them looking at us before one asked if we were there for a tasting (duh!?)...When we were shown out to the covered patio, it was a quite a cute set up. There were also heat lamps, which were a nice and necessary touch for a cold, windy day like today. That's where the positives end... The location of the winery is not a relaxing vibe at all. The loud traffic noise from cars traveling down the road at very high speeds was constant and too distracting to the tasting experience. Then there was a major issue with so many gnats or fruit flies or whatever those bugs were. When you keep having to try to fan them away so they don't land in your wine, it kills the mood. It's probably out of the winery's control, but...still... The person that helped us never bothered to even introduce herself, so we don't even know her name. She had no interest in building any rapport or making any small talks like if we've been there before, or give us any info on the winery or the wines we were tasting. All she said when she brought the wines out was that they were placed in the order shown on the flight menu. When we saw a gnat had finally fallen into my husband's glass, she nonchalantly said, "oh, you got one of those buggers, huh?"...This is not at all sanitary, but to them, I guess it's normal or something. She did say if we'd like that particular one replaced, we could. We declined because we didn't want to waste more wine. We are not Pinot fans, but thought their Pinot was actually pretty good. The rest of the wines were not good at all. We both had the red flight, and none was bold or robust. Because of the gnat/fruit fly issue, we didn't open our charcuterie. We paid the tasting fee (plus tips, because those darn annoying machines are all now asking for tips, so we felt obligated), but did not walk out with any bottle purchase, which has almost never happened! We went down the road to our good ol' trusty Heritage Oak, where the setting is beautiful, quiet, and relaxing, and the service is always genuinely warm and friendly. We enjoyed the rest our afternoon there and walked out with 5 bottles. Oh, and we didn't have any issues with gnats there (and never have in the past, and we've been there a lot of times at different times of the year). We really did want to like Oak Ridge and had high hopes. Unfortunately it wasn't for us. read more

Absolutely love this winery! Very comfortable and non-pretentious! The staff is very knowledgeable and incredibly nice. What they didn't know they looked up. Absolutely no pressure in buying anything that I didn't want like I have experienced at a few other wineries in the Napa Valley. I was so sad to hear that the mango peach slushy that they have isn't served all year round but just during the warmer months of the year. But I totally understand I don't think anybody would want to drink a slushy in the middle of January. I absolutely love the little building where the winetasting is held in the patio seemed so beautiful and inviting. I highly suggest that this winery be on your list of places to visit while visiting the Lodi wine country. read more

The hosts in this tasting room are the best. Definitely worth your time to stop by, sit in the garden and try their wines.

I went to this darling winery, It's small but packs a big punch, it's an actual wine barrel and the tasting room is inside, it is very cool everyone was so friendly and the wines are tasty and very inexpensive. While I was there I notice that they had cases and cases piled high in the tasting room. Because people were picking up for big events like weddings, parties celebrations of all kinds and clearly what a fantastic idea and deal! All the while we chatted with everyone finding out all the goings on in this this very interesting town of Lodi. My hubby and my daughter and I were in Lodi for a wedding and we had to squeezed in a little time to check this place out and we were so very happy we did. They also has weddings here as well check out the pictures really sweet and they gave a small tented area behind the tasting room where you can hang out and have a little picnic and of course wine. if your in the area and need some tasty and reasonably priced wine you've found the perfect place. First time to this winery. They were busy, so I was afraid our group of 4 may be turned away since we hadn't made reservations. But instead, we were cheerfully greeted and seated on the beautiful patio where they had music playing. We have been wine club members for years. Service has always been hit or miss. Now if you don't pick up your wine right away they charge you to ship it and minors are no longer allowed on the property. We were told the last time that our 7 year old son could not even be in the car in the parking lot while we ran in and grabbed our wine club. read more

Cara was working when we stopped in to this winery; very friendly. We found it after stopping at one of the large ones down the road, and realizing we couldn't bring our own food onto their lawn, we moved on. Thankfully to something not bigger, but totally better. So, we arrived at Oak Ridge, purchased a bottle of wine, and sat down with our pre-purchased sandwiches on their adorable patio while sharing food and smiles over a delicious bottle of 2017 Old Soul Zin. We had a party of 5. Arrived and were greeted by Tyler. He did a great job answering our questions and his service was excellent. Oak Ridge is one of the oldest wineries in Lodi. It's tasting area is small bit clean and welcoming . There wine selection is good and more the reasonable. Cost is $10. per person but is waved if you purchase any wine. Will be back again . We had SO much fun in the tasting room. Our host was generous, talkative, and very welcoming. We came for the Zinfandel and ended up enjoying so much more. Even the boxed wines were shockingly delicious. We enjoyed the wines so much that we became members. Very put off. Went there to have a wine day with the girls. The sign was lite up saying tasting open so we went in and was greeted very rude. "We are not open for another 20 mins" and then turned away and they kept working. They were rude unprofessional and we left. I enjoy their wines but I will now think twice about going back and buying their wines. Great product just need to teach your employees in the tasting room better customer service skills. My favorite wine comes from this winery. So obviously I had to go here and treat myself. I knew I would love my go to favorite but I was pleasantly surprised to find 3 more that I loved! My husband and I where the lucky first ones there on a Saturday. It picked up really quickly and the two girls working were hustling between seating, serving and fulfilling wine club orders. They did a great job! It was nice to build your own flight vs the standard whites & reds. I started with rose and tried all but 1 red! We got convinced to join the wine club and have it shipped to us. Which was a no brainer considering retail prices vs club member prices. This winery came recommended by several other tasting rooms. I think because their wines are well known. The OVZ brand is affordable and in grocery stores and Costco. We were here on a weekday so it wasn't too crowded. The smallish tasting room is inside a huge barrel and there is a patio outside. I can see on a weekend it could get very full. Friendly staff. The wines were okay to good. Prices very affordable. We were able to taste one zinfandel not on tasting menu which was nice. read more

Exceptionally bad wine. We tried s4 places while in lodi and this place was definitely a 0. The staff didnt really care, its a mass production, and the wines were not good at all. I tried all their reds and they were incredibly subpar compared to the other wineries in the area. The ambiance was also not great unless you like giant silos. read more

Well to start they just were not a happy welcoming bunch. Lol they were stiff and not very helpful at first and I all most said something. They started with box wine that was actually good but they were not. No explaining no info on the wine Nada!! Then started to relax a bit on the other pours. The wines were for the most part good but the staff need some happiness in their lives. We still bought bottles and my brother a whole case but even then they still were not impressing me at all and probably wont come back just because of that. Saturday and they were so grumpy. More interested if you were in the wine club or not. :/ Mind you we had gone to 3 wineries all ready and they were the only ones this rude and killed our good vibe at that point. I must say I enjoyed the wines more on this visit. Both Linda and my favorite was the Moss Roxx Ancient Zin. It was also the 2nd most expensive wine that was offered for a tasting the day we went. And with the Groupon, we were able bring two bottles of this delightful wine home. So the coupon did save me some money. I also purchased an expensive bottle of a sweet dessert wine I thought Snooky would like. This is where the problem came about. When I got home the receipt for my purchase was in the bag along with the two free bottles and the wine glasses. What was missing was the bottle of rather expensive dessert wine. I hate to think that the person pouring the wine deliberately left the bottle out not thinking that anyone would make 140 mile round trip to get it. The pourer was knowledgeable and friendly. The next day I went back to get the wine. Of course they wanted to me to wait until this person came to work. My receipt was at Linda's and she was not home. This pourer looked surprised and then said, "oh yes, she did buy the wine. I really think the wine this time was worthy or 4 stars and the zin is worth 5 stars, but a missing wine bottle drops it back to 3 stars. It won't stop me from coming back the next time I pass through Lodi. read more

I haven't been wine tasting in Lodi for about two years and we decided to stop at one after we just went skydiving. We were definitely hungry but we wanted wine. We found this place on Yelp. The wine tasting room is rather small and a bit dim. There are refrigerated candies and sodas for purchase, as well as wine goodies like t-shirts, wine stop bottles, etc. The counter was a bit busy and Christine was there with someone else assisting. The tasting was for tasting of 3 wines. Between the three of us, we mixed and matched so we each had a little taste of many wines. We tried the Old Vine Zin which is really good in Lodi. My favorite is Gnarley Head's Old Vine Zin, a 2006, I believe. We also tried the 3 Girls (haha!), the other Zin, Pinot Noir, Champagne and the Muscatel. We bought two bottles of the champagne and my Cugino got the 3 Girls. Dirty, haha. The champagne was pretty good and for my Cugino that doesn't like champagne, he really liked it. I do like Muscato but this one was a bit overkill. Christine was really nice and personable. She mentioned that they had a great membership offer of 12 bottles for $100 for the year, 30% off additional bottles and 50% off a case of wine for your birthday. Good to know. read more

(Zero stars) Very disappointed Oak Ridge Winery is no longer a family friendly winery. We have been members for a while and on our last visit we were refused service because our children were with us. They have signs posted near their entrance that no one under 21 is allowed on their premises. Seems a bit out of place for a winery. Summary: A real neat tasting room (a giant barrel!), friendly staff (though there were only two of them and there were more visitors than they could handle, so there were some long delays between pours), reasonable prices, and a good selection of wines. I went with my wife and her parents to Oak Ridge for the first time on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The tasting room is a giant barrel that actually used to store wine (there is a little paper framed on the left wall with info about its history). Inside were two very busy staff people trying to pour for a couple of groups while also handling purchase orders and shipping requests. We eventually secured some space at the tiny bar and waited for one of the servers to get us started when she was waiting for order info to go through on the computer. The tastings were free, and there were 3 whites and several reds to try, so we ended up trying quite a bit of wine once the servers freed up some more. They had a great pinot noir that was super smooth, and was on sale for less than $10 from the usual $12. Ultimately, some good wines and reasonable prices, but the stff wait was a bit of a bummer as we were nearing the end of our day and trying to get some more tastings in still. read more

The 5 star is for the pourer Christine who was great, and the OZV Zin, which I was totally impress considering the low price of this bottle, and they have this California Champagne Oak Ridge Reserve that I also liked. I cant wait to go back, so I can taste the other wines, unfortunately on this visit Oak Ridge winery were honoring Robert Renolds one of the partners who had just past away, so there tasting menus consist of the Robert Renolds labels and a few other selection. I find the the tasting room to be very comfortable and warmed, Christine was very helpful and knowledgeable even took the extra time to show us other wineries in town. We sign up for their wine club, I do recommend Oak Ridge winery. were from Southern California, and I do love Lodi wine. read more
