This was my first time wine tasting at Harney Lane. My sister and I were accompanied by our husbands and my son. Natalie helped us and made the experience enjoyable. Other than at Wine & Roses, I had never heard of Harney Lane wines and they are lovely! Both my sister and I really enjoyed nearly every one of them! The Grace patio is for club members only and then the outside patio is for everyone else. The reason I scored a four start and not a five star is due to the fact that you must stay at the counter for the wine tasting and stand the entire time. It would be wonderful if they offered seating during the tasting. Even if you must stay inside, some seats would be much appreciated. I kind of felt like I just needed to chug the tasting a bit. Overall, I would come back and just order my selection then go outside to enjoy with my company. Not being able to sit with the rest of our family for most our experience was a bit odd.

The attention to detail from this winery is so far unmatched. I'm newish to the wine seen! With that being said I had an amazing time celebrating my birthday with exceptional wine, family and food. You can bring your own charcuterie to this picturesque vineyard. Beautiful place with a chill vibe.

Harney Lane Vineyards is just one of the many family wineries in Lodi. My big lil sis brought me here as well because she likes a couple of their Pinot Noirs and Zins. I enjoyed the wine flavors here a bit better. I'm more for the lighter white wine selections these days. They gave me good options. The outdoor garden area with patio seating is pleasant. Their venue has a more modern and clean feel. It seems pretty relaxing. Some of the cutest pumpkins and gourds were displayed at the entranceway. The expanse of the vineyard itself is amazing in the forefront of blue skies and sunlight. Lots of parking is available on their gravel lot. What I do know, cuz of my sis, is that they're a dog-friendly establishment. (Please remember to bring appropriate snacks and drinks for the pups.)

My friend and I enjoy exploring new wineries in the area, and this one came recommended by a fellow wine taster we met at Bokisch. He mentioned the grounds were nice, the staff was decent, and the wines could be hit or miss, so we decided to give it a try. The property itself is decent, with a mix of indoor standing tables and outdoor seating. There are smaller seating areas under trees and near a small fountain, which could make for a relaxing setting. However, during our visit, the atmosphere felt more crowded and noisy than expected, and the seating; particularly the backless bar stools and old barrel style chairs, wasn't especially comfortable if you plan on hanging out for a while. Service was probably the biggest issue for us. As first-time visitors, there wasn't much effort to make us feel welcome or guide us through the menu. When we asked if they had sparkling wine, we were told yes, but it turned out they were referring to spritzers made with sparkling water. After clarifying, there wasn't much follow-up or attempt to help us find something closer to what we were actually looking for, which felt a bit dismissive. We ended up ordering a bottle of Albariño to drink on the patio. It was okay, but unfortunately not something we'd go back for. It tasted noticeably bitter and lacked the brighter fruit notes typically associated with that varietal, making it less enjoyable than we had hoped for. Between the underwhelming service, the wine not really landing for us, and the overall atmosphere, we chose to leave early and head to another winery.

Harney Lane is always a must go to when in Lodi. I absolutely love the grounds. It's very tranquil and calming to sit and just enjoy your wine. Plenty of seating and even if you're sitting by the water fountain the staff will find you and ask if you need anything. Definitely great customer service.

Us girls needed some time together and one of them recommended Harney Lane. We did the Zinfandel wine tasting and I definitely liked two them. We also had the charcuterie board. Everyone was so sweet to us.

Lovely place to visit for the beautiful grounds, tastings, and staff. We went as a family for the holidays and enjoyed the new Zin room. Beautiful.

One of our favorite wineries in Lodi. We walked in around Saturday 3:30pm and it wasn't too busy for Memorial Day Weekend. If you buy wine bottle, you can sit outside where the club members sit. Or else you just stand at the tasting room counter. The lady who helped pour our wines was so nice. It was a more personable experience. Our lady explained the wines and helped us with finding wineries that we need to try. Now we know we don't like family friendly wineries. It's just too busy and the staff just pours the wines and leave. Tasting fee: classic flight and red flight are both $20. It was nice that our lady let us go off menu for the ones that overlap in the flights. The reds have some tannins, but not terrible. There's both fruity and earthy reds. Some whites were better than others. It's a good variety. There's also no tip button on the checkout iPad so it doesn't create pressure on customers. You only need to buy 1 bottle of wine to waive the fee. Albariño- smell good, decent Chardonnay, Scottsdale- ok Chardonnay, home ranch- bolder, decent Dry rose- crisp dry , bland Primitivo- like zin, but Italian , bland light Zinfandel, Scottsdale- fruity, jammy, some tannins Patriachs promise- earth, some tannins Zinfandel- not bad Old vine Zinfandel- ok Tempranillo- bland , some tannins Cab- earthy, some tannins Petite Sirah- fruity, some tannins

Highly recommend their cheese & dried apricot plate

This is, after many visits, my definite favorite in the Lodi region. A friend from Spain & I visited on a recent Saturday w/2 dogs in tow. We were treated extremely well while inside tasting & purchasing a bottle of their wonderful Albariño along w/dark chocolate & a cheese plate. Outside, there were lots of people enjoying the grounds & great wines, & it seemed that many had brought their own food to nosh on. We spent a delightful, memorable couple of hours @ Harney Lane, & the 2 wineries we visited afterwards paled in comparison.

We came here after attending the wine club party at another winery that we are members of. We had to pick up my husband's friend's wines for her. So we decided to do a little wine tasting so we can try out their wines. It is on Harney Lane....how convenient lol It's a very nice winery with lots of places to sit and enjoy the outdoor scenery. Absolutely beautiful estate. It's perfect place to chill with a group setting. They have very good wines. Good enough for us to buy one of their best wines. They also offer cheese plates and charcuterie boards....perfect with your bottle of wine The staff is very friendly and eager to help their patrons. They make you feel welcomed.

I had driven by many times and it seemed like an appointment only place but I guess now they have enough staffing to open up the hours and days of the week. First, their reputation has always been very good. They've had some recognition from some reputable wine sources so I had very high expectations for the wine. In, short, the wines were very good. They had a nice selection from rose to the more Lodi styled red wines. I really did enjoy all the wines and the price point seems fair. I guess I was kinda hoping to meet the winemaker, learn more about their vineyards and purpose for growing certain varietals. When you get wine with a story it makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I really like this place and I'm hoping to make a stronger connection with the business since I consider myself an advocate for Lodi wines since my hobby is to compare our wines with the best out in the other regions of CA. Pretty heavy competition but so far Lodi is more than able to compete with certain types of wines aka Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Syrah and occasionally Cabernet.

A Truly Wonderful Family-Owned Winery!…read more I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Bill during a visit to Van Ruiten Family Winery, walking around the beautiful property, and trying some of their delicious wines. What started as a simple visit turned into an experience that genuinely left an impression on me! One of the things I admired most was Bill himself. Watching him take the time to smile, wave, and greet everyone passing by, whether he knew them or not, really showed me the kind of person he is. There's something special about meeting someone who has experienced generations of family success yet remains so humble, genuine, and welcoming. The history behind this winery is incredible. You can truly appreciate the generations of dedication, hard work, and family pride that have gone into making this place what it is today. And despite that long history of success, everyone is so down-to-earth and friendly! I even had the opportunity to return with my family, this time simply as regular visitors, and enjoyed the experience just as much. The wines are absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the people make you feel less like a customer and more like an old family friend. What I especially appreciate is that you don't have to be somebody important or know anyone to feel welcomed here. Even as a complete stranger, I felt right at home. It's places like Van Ruiten Family Winery that remind me why I love supporting family-owned businesses. There's real history, heart, and hospitality behind everything they do. Five stars without hesitation! I absolutely recommend visiting, enjoying their wines, and experiencing the hospitality for yourself. I look forward to bringing my family back again! Most recently we were on our way to one of our favorites when we saw a sign for Viaggio. We decided to pull over and try it out, and boy am I glad we did as we have just found a new favorite. Viaggio has one of the most beautiful grounds I have seen in the area. From the moment you arrive they have a walkway that gives a feeling of New Orleans bourbon street. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside. They serve charcuterie, snacks, wood grilled pizza and even saw sushi on our trip. The staff were super friendly and let us try their sparkling before committing to a bottle. The sparkling was crisp with flavor notes of apple and lemon. We wound up ordering a bottle and enjoying it on the patio while we listened to their live music. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and we even saw a wedding party celebrating and taking photos. Highly recommend you add this one to your list when doing a Lodi trip.

There was a lot of people in and out of the venue, so it wasn't hard to find a seat. There isn't a ton of shade provided in their entertainment area, so if you come on a hotter and warmer day, bring a hat! The band that they had was amazing! They were so friendly and fun, and knew how to engage with the crowd well! The selection of wines to pick from are slim and they don't come with a lot of descriptions either. The service is somewhat on the slower side as well, and the lines can get really long. I would recommend just getting a few bottles to share with your company instead of always having to go back and wait more than 10-15 minutes in the lines. The food is fast and doesn't seem to be made fresh. Moreso on the side of frozen foods, so don't come too hungry!
