One of our favorite wineries. We had reservations for Monday at 2:30pm. $15 tasting for 6 wines. Dogs on leashes were allowed. There's charcuterie available for purchase. Outside food is OK for outdoor tastings other than club pickup weekend. They have big, bold jammy wines. Very fruity wines. Some reds have tannins. Randy poured the tasting for us. A small tasting room with an extended barrel room and cute outdoor seating area surrounded by greenery- I arrived on a pick-up weekend when it was a bit busy. Even so, service was friendly and efficient as I was handed a glass of white wine and told that I may take a seat as they put my wines together. The fee is currently $15 for 6, waived with a bottle purchase (a deal seemingly hard to find anymore). The flight was all reds, and I enjoyed each differently. Dog day red! The only wine that I will drink, and it is made at the d'Art wines. Wine tasting offered, a lovely picnic area and sometimes movies are provided along with music. Stopped at d'Art as a last minute pit stop on the way to Napa. Very cute, friendly place! The grounds were gorgeous and the wine was good, ended up buying a couple bottles. The grounds are perfect for picnicking and we just happen to have some charcuterie in the car. Met one of the winery dogs, Shasta. She was cute and friendly. This was a great pitstop, and I will definitely stop again and went in the area. read more

We had a great time here. They have an indoor and outdoor wine tasting areas. We decided to do outdoor because the weather was so nice. If you do the tasting outside then they serve your tasting in little cups vs being inside and them pouring each tasting for you. They also sell charcuterie bags that were convenient and you can also bring food if you'd like to. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly. We can't wait to come back! This wine is so good. I've always invited myself along when my sister makes her wine pick-up. The place is so nice and has plenty of seating. What I love most is the variety of their wine. I think their Malbec and Petite Sirah have to be among some of my favorites. The atmosphere is amazing. Really enjoyed our stop here. Wine tasting was only $10 per person, and they waved both of them because we purchased a bottle afterwards. Nice ambiance and friendly staff! My girlfriend and I stopped in for a wine tasting on a Thursday afternoon. We were greeting with friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the wines. We especially loved the wine aerator in the shape of a bird that makes a peeping sound as it pours! Better yet, they sell them so we bought a few!! I felt like the wine was tasty in general. I especially enjoyed the Dog Day Red as is a sweeter blend with port so I decided to purchase a bottle. A beautiful Sunday with no plans? We decided to explore another wine country, Lodi! Yelpers' recommendations brought us to d'Art Winery in less than an hour. Immediately upon arriving at the property there was a sense of calm. A well maintained garden with tables & umbrella tables welcomed us. Parties of no more than 5 spread through the garden, definitely physically distanced from other parties. In the office, we meet Helen, one on the owners & winemakers. She is friendly & very hospitable! She explains that each person gets a flight of 6 red wines for $10 but if we prefer white, we can switch some. We then find a table and settle in. Shortly after, we each receive a glass with Cabernet Rose. Cheers! They let us bring out the picnic basket we brought. The tray with the flight soon arrives as we finish the Rose'. All in all, we got to try 9 wines for $10! While we enjoyed sipping & eating in our small bubble of 4, d'Art friends regularly checked-in on us & visited with us. We enjoyed learning about the winery, the bottling process, and their favorites. It was like visiting family! Since wine is a subjective thing, I will reserve my comments on it. Since the tasting fee is waived for every bottle purchased, we opted to take home out Top 3 choices: 2016 Tempranillo, 2017 Cab Sauvignon, Dog Day Red. Cheers!!! read more

Dog Day Red is my favorite wine in the world. Great winery with the friendliest staff anywhere.

This was our fourth -- and last stop -- during a Sunday of wine tasting, so I didn't get a chance to taste all of the wines (I'll let you guess why that was). All this means is I will be going back. I bought a bottle of their late harvest Zinfandel, which I did taste and was really, really good. Currently, the wine tasting fee is $10 for a tasting of seven wines. Adorable little winery tucked away on a country road in Lodi. It has a small garden area and a tasting area inside and outside. My group decided to enjoy our wines outside and had a fun time trying to varied wines. I loved the director cut (or maybe it was studio cut) wine which has old vine Zinfandel grapes in it. Delicious and we eagerly took a bottle home to drink for thanksgiving. Monet who helped us was so knowledgeable and gave us a tour of wine making process. We had the most enjoyable experience at d'art last Sunday. Because of current circumstances with pandemic, they were still able to allow us to taste wines out on the lawn under a beautiful shade tree. Our hostess, Wendy was fabulous! She was attentative to us and all of her guests. She went above and beyond and called neighboring wineries to see if they needed reservations. Most important, their wines are great! We went at least 4 times because of the wine, but were always made to feel awkward by the staff. Maybe they need some diversity in the staff, both age and race. We stopped in to D'Art Winery near the end of the day and found Wendy in the tasting room. She was so friendly and fun to chat with. The winery is family owned by the Dart family. Dave is a photographer and you can see his creations around the tasting room. It is not often that Mr. Bee and I both love each and every wine that is poured, but this was the case at D'Art. They pour a couple of whites and the rest are reds. Each one was lovely, full of fruit and easily drinkable. We had agreed to buy a bottle from each winery we visited and we blew it on our first stop. We ended up with several Zinfandel's and a bottle of their incredible port. The tastings are $5.00 per person and they waive that fee if you buy a bottle. We loved Lodi for it's wineries, and hometown feel. The wineries there are small, tastings reasonable and the wines are amazing. D'Art is now one of our favorites, and the staff so fun. read more

Love, love, love this place!!! Let me start by saying that I can't believe it has taken me this long to visit here. After visiting 14 wineries this weekend, I hands-down consider Dog Day red blend wine the Best red of the 14 wineries. Apparently our group of 15 couldn't agree more. We purchased a few bottles and before you knew it POOF, they were empty. Hmmm, how did that happen so fast? So much for saving a bottle for another day. Oh well... The DD red paired perfectly with the delicious chili beans infused with cocoa powder. Again another winner! I felt like the character David Copperfield from a Charles Dickens novel begging for more porridge, but in my case it was chili beans. Thank goodness they posted the recipe on their website. Oops, did I say that out loud? If you try the recipe I would love to know what your thoughts are on the chili beans and if you really want to kick up the taste a notch have it with a glass or two of Dog day. Kudos to the very nice and accommodating hostess at the chili bean station for indulging me. Shout out to the two gentlemen who offered barrel tastings, you guys were very friendly, fun and great to talk to. Your blend/mix tasting of the two barrels was a real treat. Volunteering to assist in the Cal-Events wine tours, I have wandered through many fine wineries in Lodi as well as Sonoma, Amador, Eldorado, Nevada City, Paso Robles and of course, Napa. But D'Art wines knocked us off our feet with wine quality; lovely grounds; vineyard and wine-making discussions; and genuinely, gracious owners, David and Helen. Small, intimate, comfortable, beautiful, it is a "must" for any wine-tasting outing! Frankly, the Cabernets and Ports are among the very best I've tasted. Thank you, Helen and David! read more

I always seem to stop by d'Art Wines when I am touring the Lodi Wine Region. His style of wine is a bit softer and sweeter than most, which makes for a unique and approachable wine. The winery is also located off Harney Lane which is a main area for local wines and an easy stop off 99. The winery has a nice expanded tasting room with a large outdoor area. There is a lot of art in and around the winery which adds to the experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, although they can be rushed during peak times as you would expect. Their dog is cute and friendly too. The wine is a big star here. d'Art Wines has a style that is very different than the traditional California model. The tannins are very muted with a silky mouth feel. The real stars are the dessert wines, especially the new ports. Their standard varietals are also really nice and a welcome change from most other dry wines in your cellar. read more
