My best friend and I like to get together once a month and try new wineries, with one small requirement ..... WE DESIRE BUBBLES / SPARKLING! Unfortunately not many in Lodi and Acampo do so, and if they do it's usually only just a Brut. We almost gave up hope, until we came across Durst Winery! The winery grounds has an area for private events / parties, seating for the general public both inside a warehouse and outside in the shade. We wound up getting the sparkling wine flight (Brut, Rose, and Demi Sec) an a charcuterie board (various deli meats & cheeses, grapes and nuts). As we were enjoying our charcuterie board and sparkling, we were joined at our table by the wineries dogs. They wanted to check in on us and more importantly do a quality taste test of some of our charcuterie items, ha ha ha. The only thing I would suggest is offer to pour the sparkling as you go and not all at once, because by the time I got to my Demi Sec, it was warm. We loved the sparkling though overall and will be back to visit our four legged friends again. Yippee yo yippee yay!

This place is a little gem! We came to see our friend's band, The Retrofits. Didn't know our friend's retirement party was being held there too. It was perfect. They had three Charcuterie boards, our own private bar, and all the tables to sit at and enjoy the day. The bathrooms were right next door to us. They had a guy cooking food and it was fabulous! The main tasting room was having a paint and sip event. We ended up finding a shaded area on the grass to enjoy the music. What a perfect day!

    Sweet doggie on site!

A beautiful winery with exceptional service!! My friends surprised me with a birthday party at this amazing winery and I'm so glad and happy that they did! We got a beautiful table under the patio (that saved us from the rain) and we were able to bring our own food and just relax!! You can order a glass, a bottle, or a flight to try! I tried the "a little of everything" flight which gave me a glass of white, sparking. Rose, and a glass of red. I was even given a complimentary champagne for my birthday. Everyone was so sweet and accomodating, even come with hugs! We were able to bring our own food and by the end of the day, I obviously wanted to become a member. Can't wait to come back and enjoy more wine in this adorable place!

My daughter and I, on beautiful day at Durst!

Durst is a family owned and operated company. The staff here are always warm and welcoming, with a no pressure, laid back type of atmosphere that I love. Whether you are here for one of their events, picking up a few bottles or just to sit down and chat with a glass of your favorite wine, they make you feel at home.

Beautiful winery! The ladies at the counter were so sweet and made us feel so welcomed. The live music was so pleasant and relaxing as we sipped our yummy vino. Dogs are welcomed, and a handsome black lab is a resident there. So romantic and peaceful! We will be back for sure. The Sparkling Rose was my favorite!

We came across this wonderful winery today. Beautiful outside grounds, plenty of tables and seating and we were greeted by Tucker - the winery mascot (Dog - not sure if he is the mascot but cool friendly dog). The staff was very friendly, met the owners they were nice and welcoming. We only tried one wine (Bought a bottle to share - picture included) and left with 2 more as we left. If you want a nice place to unwind, chill and take in the fresh air and relax - please stop by Durst. We will be going back there soon.

One of my favorite wineries of our girls trip: the Amanda Mia Red is smooth. We loved the el pastor nachos from the food tent. The grounds are pretty and the live music was a treat.

    Sparkling rosé.

We first discovered Durst over a year ago from a recommendation of another winery, so we decided to give it a shot. From the moment we came in the staff were very attentive and friendly, the tasting room was nice and cozy but the patio is even better. So many seating areas and beautiful gardens enhance your tasting experience. When we came in I noticed they had a few sparkling wine options as well as a sparkling rosé. I had the sparkling flight and my friend had the reds, and they were all magnificent. The pours were almost a glass full each, so it's totally worth the fee. Durst is kid and pet friendly and you can even bring your own food to enjoy while you have a glass/bottle of your favorite Durst wine. Cheers!

Even my husband, a strictly red wine drinker, fell in love with their wines and atmosphere. We started with a portfolio flight of stills and sparklings, each one was its own unique, yummy, and delicious experience - not a single one disappointed, but our favorite was the Impartation. The color is light, but the flavor is bold and had my husband forgetting that he's "not a rosé guy." The wine experience alone would bring us back, but the icing on the cake is the people and the grounds. Sammy was amazing and instantly made us feel welcome and invited our dog to roam around and explore inside while Sammy poured wine and gave us some history on the winery and winemaker. Then as we thought our visit was wrapping up, Vivian (founder and winemaker) and Peter came in to visit with us, treating us like we were all long-time friends. At that point we grabbed a glass of wine and were taken on a tour of the grounds where we were invited to take a peek in the beautiful and cozy cottage they rent out for overnight stays. From there we walked down to the river and the deck overlooking the water, which is also available for reservations if you want to relax and enjoy the wine with nature and a couple friends. We have never felt so welcome at a winery, and we did not want to leave. The whole experience was lovely and luxurious. We will definitely be back!

When we drove up to their site, I wasn't really sure where it was located as the existing buildings looked like old industrial buildings, not your standard winery and tasting room. My partner and I guessed it had been a granary--it was built in 1868 right next to the raIlroad tracks, and was later converted into a winery in the early 1900s. Back then that initial winery became famous for their Port, and also made vinegar and brandy. We sat at the tables outside. I asked the server if anyone was living in the tall granary tower because we had noticed that the windows looked like they were fitted with stained glass. She answered with a chuckle, that only ghosts live there. Dancing Coyote has an interesting history. It is family run, and they have been farming the Delta region for five generations. They grow and harvest the grapes. They also do the crushing, aging and handcrafting the final product. The winemaker uses natural wild yeast that derives from the surfaces of the grapes to actually ferment the products on the flight that we tasted - they were really good and yummy on their own natural merits with a bright finish. Of course, I had to run around and experience this winery's own unique brand with my own eyes and camera in hand. There were several fig trees in which I found a perfectly ripe fig to eat. There was was this orange stuff "growing" on some of the outside walls that I had to touch, and then scratch my head because I couldn't figure out what it was. Near the fig trees, hidden from the eyes of most.of the two-leggeds that visit the winery, is a diagram painted on a rather large propane tank. Who painted it? Was it a human that "dances with coyotes"? I tried and tried to duplicate the dance that the artist painted on the tank. The trickster that painted that mural is probably laughing at the thought of people trying to follow the dance diagram. Their flights were FREE!!! There were four different wines included: 3 whites and 1 red. I usually prefer drinking red over white, however, there was something uncommon with their white wines--a certain kind of freshness/aliveness. I really liked how it felt in my mouth. After tasting those wines she brought three more wines for us to taste. We fell in love with their 2016 Loureiro - a Portuguese varietal. They had a special for $48 for a case, and we snatched it up in a heartbeat. We plan to return in our next visit to the Lodi wine making region to the same place, and see what other new vinicultural gifts that they have to offer us.

I had driven by many times and it seemed like an appointment only place but I guess now they have enough staffing to open up the hours and days of the week. They had a nice selection from rose to the more Lodi styled red wines. I really did enjoy all the wines and the price point seems fair. I guess I was kinda hoping to meet the winemaker, learn more about their vineyards and purpose for growing certain varietals. When you get wine with a story it makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I really like this place and I'm hoping to make a stronger connection with the business since I consider myself an advocate for Lodi wines since my hobby is to compare our wines with the best out in the other regions of CA. Pretty heavy competition but so far Lodi is more than able to compete with certain types of wines aka Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Syrah and occasionally Cabernet.
