There were only 2 tables with customers on a Sunday which was odd because Jessi was packed. Then I got the port flight and sat next to obnoxious people - two of which worked there. The port was gross tasted like pure alcohol. The women who worked there were speaking SO LOUD and inappropriate political conversation. If was offensive. What an unpleasant experience. I ended up complaining. Then I was getting sneered at by her. I told them I wasn't even drinking my flight. At the end they had the audacity to ask me to pay for it. I said I absolutely would not pay for something I didn't drink and I left. $25 for a flight with barely more than a sip. So overpriced and bad wine. Read other reviews about the bad wine, and terrible people. Wasn't just me. Unfortunate because the property is pretty. Never again.

Loved this place! Such a beautiful view to enjoy. We were here for a fundraiser which included a great 3 course meal and of course wine. A great deal of people showed up this particular Friday evening. It was nice to see the face that was behind the meal choice of the even. Polite and fries. Beautiful gardens, fountains and seating. While looking at some of their barrels I noticed the stamping on them as a product of France. Possibly where the Barr originated from. I do see myself visiting here again to experience a wine tasting very soon

Beautiful winery and amazing wines - I really like the Trincadeira - nice dry Portuguese wine. Love the way you get your tastings in a boat with bee-top corks. They have nice settings outside. Be sure to visit on a nice sunny day. There are a couple of fire pits outside too.

We love the wine and the service. They offer a wide variety of wines but seem to specialize in Portuguese varietals. The service is great. The owners are often present and accessible.

The venue is beautiful and everyone at the winery is very friendly. We had a great time especially talking to Vern, the owner. Definitely will return to this place next time I am up in the Lodi area.

Absolutely the most lovely, relaxing winery! Took my brother and sister-in-law when they came to visit. We had a wonderful time. Purchased some nice ports. So ready to go back. This winery was featured on Good Day Sacramento so they were a bit busy, but still serene and relaxing. My family is from Portugal, so this experience was very meaningful.

We stopped by this winery during the Wine & Chocolate Event, Feb. 13 & 14, 2016. I had been to this winery before, but not during a big event. It was pretty crowded, but their grounds are fairly big and the service was good. Their wines were good, although we didn't buy anything. My husband liked their Zin. I really liked the Portuguese bread samples that they were passing out! I would come here again but maybe during a time when there aren't any big events.

Came here Saturday with family wine tasting there was probably about 13 of us. This place is gorgeous such a pretty winery they pair the wines with food which is fabulous because a lot of places don't do that. Because we had a bigger party we were sat in a room with wine barrels tables and chairs which was wonderful. It really gave us that wine experience however the reason for the 4 stars and not the five is simply because I didn't know much about what I was drinking they gave me a menu the pairing and said follow in this order I would've liked to know a little more about the wines. But the wines were very good. If I come up this way tasting again I will defiantly stop by this gorgeous place again with fewer people. If you debating on trying this place i would say go for it the wines will not disappoint.

Parking at St Jorge is easy. We were greeted right away and taken to their pretty decent sized outdoor area to take a seat. We received a tasting of about 5 or 6 wines. All wines we're just ok. Nothing really stood out but our friends loved the rose and red blend. Service was good and the ambience was nice. Different likes for different tikes so give them a try and see how ya like them.

The grounds are unique, with a beautiful waterfall as you enter the courtyard. I enjoy several of their wines here. This stop is one of those that creates a feeling of being in another country with its European style. The owners continue to add unique touches to create the best experience. Perfect for parties..

St Jorge Winery is a lovely classically styled winery in Lodi. Their opulent estate is located just north of downtown Lodi along Peltier Road between 5 and 99. This winery also has a Chargepoint EV charging station for public use. The winery focuses on Portuguese varietals with a good price point for most wine lovers. Entering the estate is like an Italian dream with lush gardens and a tasting room with a huge fireplace and stone bar. My generous tasting menu included a few food pairings including cheese and their Portuguese sweet bread - all of which are available for purchase. This is a great place to impress your friends and family. The wine may be a bit different for those use to more traditional varietals and styles, but the winery is so beautiful that everyone will probably love it. Keep an eye out for the white winery cat who is magnetically attracted to those wearing black pants!

The main lawn area was closed off for a wedding starting at 4:30 PM, so we set up on the extended grass section to the left. We brought a mat to relax on and a deck of cards, which turned into some pretty competitive games of Speed. For food, we ordered 2 dozen oysters and a pepperoni pizza with added jalapeños. We specifically mentioned NO pineapple due to my partner's allergy. After finishing our oysters, our pizza was finally ready... and guess what? It had pineapple on it. Thankfully, we checked before taking it back to our area. The staff remade it correctly, and about 30 minutes later we got the jalapeño pizza we originally ordered. It was absolutely delicious! One more little hiccup: after opening my tab, the staff member forgot to return my ID. I didn't realize it until I was already back in Elk Grove, so I had to make the trip back to pick it up. Despite those mishaps, Viaggio is always a vibe. Great selection of wine, plenty of space to relax, and tons of cute photo opportunities. We'll definitely be back more often .. just like old times! Unfortunately, that feeling quickly changed when I witnessed security going through an older woman's purse to enforce the "no outside food" policy. While waiting in line, I also overheard a customer frustrated about being double charged, and staff mentioned there was no manager available on-site to help resolve the issue. The gentleman assisting me came across as dismissive, answered personal phone calls while serving customers, and made the experience feel inattentive rather than hospitable. The pizza was delicious, although the wine was underwhelming for a winery experience. Overall, this place has beautiful potential, but the customer service and management experience did not match the atmosphere the venue presents.

Even my husband, a strictly red wine drinker, fell in love with their wines and atmosphere. We started with a portfolio flight of stills and sparklings, each one was its own unique, yummy, and delicious experience - not a single one disappointed, but our favorite was the Impartation. The color is light, but the flavor is bold and had my husband forgetting that he's "not a rosé guy." The wine experience alone would bring us back, but the icing on the cake is the people and the grounds. Sammy was amazing and instantly made us feel welcome and invited our dog to roam around and explore inside while Sammy poured wine and gave us some history on the winery and winemaker. Then as we thought our visit was wrapping up, Vivian (founder and winemaker) and Peter came in to visit with us, treating us like we were all long-time friends. At that point we grabbed a glass of wine and were taken on a tour of the grounds where we were invited to take a peek in the beautiful and cozy cottage they rent out for overnight stays. From there we walked down to the river and the deck overlooking the water, which is also available for reservations if you want to relax and enjoy the wine with nature and a couple friends. When we drove up to their site, I wasn't really sure where it was located as the existing buildings looked like old industrial buildings, not your standard winery and tasting room. My partner and I guessed it had been a granary--it was built in 1868 right next to the raIlroad tracks, and was later converted into a winery in the early 1900s. Back then that initial winery became famous for their Port, and also made vinegar and brandy. We sat at the tables outside. I asked the server if anyone was living in the tall granary tower because we had noticed that the windows looked like they were fitted with stained glass. She answered with a chuckle, that only ghosts live there. Dancing Coyote has an interesting history. It is family run, and they have been farming the Delta region for five generations. They grow and harvest the grapes. They also do the crushing, aging and handcrafting the final product. The winemaker uses natural wild yeast that derives from the surfaces of the grapes to actually ferment the products on the flight that we tasted - they were really good and yummy on their own natural merits with a bright finish. Of course, I had to run around and experience this winery's own unique brand with my own eyes and camera in hand. There were several fig trees in which I found a perfectly ripe fig to eat. There was was this orange stuff "growing" on some of the outside walls that I had to touch, and then scratch my head because I couldn't figure out what it was. Near the fig trees, hidden from the eyes of most.of the two-leggeds that visit the winery, is a diagram painted on a rather large propane tank. Who painted it? Was it a human that "dances with coyotes"? I tried and tried to duplicate the dance that the artist painted on the tank. The trickster that painted that mural is probably laughing at the thought of people trying to follow the dance diagram. Their flights were FREE!!! There were four different wines included: 3 whites and 1 red. I usually prefer drinking red over white, however, there was something uncommon with their white wines--a certain kind of freshness/aliveness. I really liked how it felt in my mouth. After tasting those wines she brought three more wines for us to taste. We fell in love with their 2016 Loureiro - a Portuguese varietal. They had a special for $48 for a case, and we snatched it up in a heartbeat. We plan to return in our next visit to the Lodi wine making region to the same place, and see what other new vinicultural gifts that they have to offer us.

When you get wine with a story it makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I really like this place and I'm hoping to make a stronger connection with the business since I consider myself an advocate for Lodi wines since my hobby is to compare our wines with the best out in the other regions of CA. We literally had fruit and veggies for our children. I was already turned off that one worker told another worker about our outside food... As if she couldn't tell us herself. I do want to note that we purchased a charcuterie board, two pizzas and two bottles of wine from them. Then about two hours later, a worker who normally works in the kitchen with short hair... Female... Came out and told my son that he needed to stop folding the chairs down. I've attached the photos so you could see what the chairs looked like at the table. My son put them all down. She comes out and begins to flip them all back up as they appear in the photo. So my son starts helping her and then she said "OK I'll let you finish the job." She literally made my son flip all the chairs back. There was no sign on this table, stating it was reserved... There was no sign on this table stating not to touch it... It was literally an open table for guest. These chairs were like this (see photo) when we arrived at 1:30pm and they were like this until 4 PM when we left. This alone left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel like this place that used to be kid friendly is not so kid friendly anymore. I literally felt like she could have flipped the chairs back when we left, but the fact that she came and approached my seven-year-old son and told him he needed to flip them back left a horrible taste in my mouth. As we left, the owner drove by in a golf cart and said "it was so lovely seeing you guys again!." My husband mumbled under his breath... "If only your staff felt the same way." She was lovely, but sadly, her staff was not.
