Met a friend there for wine tasting. You can see the flight of wine in the first pic. The wine was good. Bought a bottle of the almond which was tasty if you like sweet. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. People were coming and going all day long but it never felt overwhelming. You can taste wine inside or outside. No pressure to buy anything. We chose the patio area and allowed us to bring our own snacks. My friend and I both agreed this would be a great place to return to. read more

I absolutely love this place, it is even more gorgeous in the fall and spring when everything is in full bloom! I was just there last Sunday, and had a wonderful experience. Another review was talking about getting almost bit by "Sorelle's Dog", however I go to the winery frequently, there is no dog that belongs to the winery. However it is a dog friendly environment and has always been. As well as the dogs that are there from customers are always required to be on a leash, the owner and staff do a great job with making sure animals are on leashes at the winery and on the grounds. The service is always so great and the ladies in the tasting room are always helpful and attentive. I love the vibes & if you are looking for a great winery to visit, this is the one! This is my favorite winery in the lodi area. Family owned and operated. They have gorgeous grounds you can have any special event you can imagine there or just stop by for a tasting. The tasting room always is staffed by one of the family all are welcoming and attentive. I wish I could nail down which is my favorite wine they have but, I love all of their wines. They have a great selection from a pinot grigio to a sangiovese and everything in between. They even have wine slushies during warm weather and wine brulee durning cool weather. They really take care of their club members by having quarterly release parties with food and entertainment. I try to make it a point to stop by when I am in the area I just love the ambiance and the wine. You will not be disappointed with your visit here. read more

We came here after lunch nearby. I personally can't drink wine, but my husband and friend both enjoyed their tastings. For just $5, you can sample 5 wines from their list. You select from the menu, and then you get them in a cute beakers along with a wine glass. Since I couldn't partake, I give this spot 5 stars because the staff were so lovely and kind, and because the ambiance is pleasant . If you are looking for a down-to-earth place to chill coming out of the pandemic, then I would say this is the place to be. Don't do what we did for the tasting, which was drinking out of the plastic cups that the tastings came in. We have all been homebound for way too long and this was one of the first places we came out to for my sister's birthday since Shelter-in-place. So we might have forgotten a few things about how you should pour the wine into the wine glass before sipping! Good thing the lady caught us. We all had a good laugh together and she thoroughly enjoyed that moment with us. I miss these moments in public where you can make a fool out of yourself and have a laugh with people. The first time I had Vin Brule was at Sorelle and it was warm and comforting to drink. It tasted like a warm wine cider. I bought the Vin Brule kit and Primitivo at Sorelle to make for Thanksgiving dinner and it was such a success. Anyone who tried it absolutely loved it and asked me for the recipe. Thanks to the girls at Sorelle for giving me and my partner a free taste and all your kind effort in putting together the kit and writing down the recipe. I have friends that are wine members here, and they have graciously invited me to many events here at the winery. And seriously l'm trying really hard to find a reason to sign up for the wine club, but I just can't do it. Every time I've been here, the personnel in the tasting room act like they're so bothered that you're even there. Service is slow, no sense of urgency even on event nights. The last event I attended was advertised as a crab and shrimp feed which is an annual event for them. And no shrimp was to be had anywhere, when asked about the shrimp, they just stated "no there is no shrimp" without apology or explanation. Again just annoyed that you even asked. And they also ran out of wine glasses? The grounds are beautiful though I will say that! Very peaceful and serene. But that's about as far as it goes unfortunately. And to be honest, the wine is, in my opinion just so so. Had much better elsewhere. read more

Horrible service. My party was told one thing on the phone, and then upon arrival something completely different. They were now only able to accommodate us if we sat around the corner in the back away from every other patron at some raggedy picnic tables. Private event review: We hosted our baby shower here. The process to reserve was easy. Kim was pleasant and quick to respond. 3 stars because the property is beautiful, the slushee wines were a hit and Kim was accommodating. They have two areas in the front lawn for private events. We were advised to use the bigger lawn area due to our guest count but when we got there we saw that there was no shade covering us and it was an extremely hot day. So we asked if we could move our tables to the smaller area where there was shade. Kim let us know it would be a squeeze and that they usually don't let private events occupy multiple spaces (we left our table for catering on the larger side). We greatly appreciated that she allowed us to do this and offered to move the tables ourselves to save the staff trouble. Another staff member was extremely bothered by this and was passive aggressive with myself, my family, and my guests. Unfortunately I did not get her name. She was lecturing us about how the shade was eventually going to move and that some of our tables would end up in the sun. I was thinking to myself well... all of our tables would've been in the sun if we didn't move them so why is she throwing a fit?? Every time she came to our area she was shaking her head in disappointment, making my guests feel uncomfortable. She brought over wine glasses in a crate (some were very dirty) and set them on the grass. So we decided to use our own cups. She picked up the full crate later that evening and seemed upset that we didn't use them. "That's what I brought these for" she said. We were advised to get another bathroom unit (portapotty) which was an extra fee of course and my guests were initially turned away from using the bathroom inside their tasting room. Kim let us know that we were definitely allowed to use both restrooms. My guests also told me they were given attitude when asking for extra trash bags so that we could clean after ourselves. We even made the trip to throw our trash bags in their dumpster. Overall, we are grateful that we had the opportunity to host our event here and the accommodations made for us but beware of unpleasant, condescending staff. read more

Sorelle Winery is very attractive with lots of extra detail and romance. This winery is one of the "wedding wineries" with lots of events. It is located at the far south end of the Lodi wine region off 88 making it a little remote, but its popularity is evident in the tasting room. It is a little weird to have a wine slushie machine in a winery. Fortunately, there were some very good options on the tasting room menu. It is nice to visit wineries to sample their reserve and select options where the winemaker can really put out a premium product. Unfortunately, given the popularity of the events and slushie machine, you may be crowded out by weekend warriors just out for a buzz. Parking was a bit of a challenge with limited spaces near the tasting room. I had to park on the grass on a busy Sunday afternoon. There may be other lots, but they were not well marked. From a wine perspective, the place actually puts out some good wine - alongside the slushie machine - but this place is really geared for those looking for a wedding location or an upscale wine crawl. read more

Great tasting room with a fun laid back atmosphere. Nicole was absolutely awesome and we had a good time talking to her while we tasted. We absolutely loved the warm mulled wine, it was so perfect on such a chilly day. The property is very pretty and we will most likely go back and take some friends. Tasting fee was $5, waived if you purchase a bottle. The wine was ok but everyone's palette is different. I won't go into the nitty-gritty, but after all is said and done I have my bottle of wine - I signed for it today. I've increased their star rating for their efforts, even though it's at least six months after the fact. They still made the effort in correcting their mistake. The grounds are beautiful and I read all about Mr. Dodge and his original 900 acres that was lost from mining endeavors down to 80 or so acres. Absolutely stunning venue! I've emailed at least 50 different venues (no kidding) and finally found this one that fits everything we were looking for. My husband who I met online 11 years ago and I got to marry at this beautiful venue just last year in May. We took off one star because of the customer service. We've had some trouble hearing back from the venue for weeks via emails and phone calls, although they were regularly updated on Facebook. So, we decided to email them that we will just go straight there without notice since we needed to cover some important info discussing with the vendor as the wedding day came near. A couple of hours later, we finally heard back from them somehow and felt that it cannot be a coincidence. We had been here a couple of times always admiring the beautiful property starting with the old Dodge House. The patio area has nice view and one can tell large events can be hosted in the back. The tasting room is very quaint with a rustic feel as we sat at the wine bar viewing the barrel room. The server was very friendly and engaging. And, they have very good wine selection -- we particularly enjoyed their '14 Reserve and Late Harvest Privitivos. On a side note, since our last visit, we heard that the slushee machine is down and that they no longer serve cheese and crackers - bummer. A must see winery to visit for wine trekkers! read more

This winery is absolutely gorgeous! I cannot wait for their tasting room to open in downtown Lodi. It's been a very long process and hopefully those doors will open soon. We picked Sorelle as the venue for our Aug. 2nd wedding. We visited a lot of the other venue options in the area, but Sorelle was just right. The grounds are beautiful, tons of big shady trees, flowers, grassy lawns and grapevines. They recently added cafe lighting to the reception space, which makes it extra festive and adorable. Our guests loved the wine slushies and the big selection of wine, and appreciated cooling off in the tasting room when the day was at its hottest. (It was a 99 degree day, but the shade, breeze & air conditioned bridal room made it bearable for us and our guests). Kim was wonderful to work with... we waffled back and forth a million times about the ceremony location like crazy people, worried about the weather and sent long emails full of questions and she was kind, prompt and on top of it every time. The day of, she was so helpful as we were getting ready, and she and her crew kindly cleaned up and kept our things overnight so we didn't have to stress about taking everything away the night of the wedding. We're very grateful for the amazing experience we had at Sorelle, and look forward to returning in the future as members of their wine club! read more

I'm one of the few Yelpers who did not come here because of Groupon, but I must say that our pourer asked if I had a Groupon, so it looks like they are doing their best to honor them. The tasting room was quite busy, but the two people behind the bar were keeping up w/everyone. Enjoyed all of their wines and choose the primitivo. Had the most amazing experience here one weekend. Found this place while searching for a winery to try one weekend on a whim..after a few Yelp reviews we decided on this place for some wine tasting before dinner. Oh my goodness it was incredible! The wine is so delicious and the variety is fantastic. I was able to find multiple sweet and crisp wines that I found delicious while my partner was able to find a few bold and flavorful wines he enjoyed. We will definitely be back (especially since we joined the wine club!) with friends. read more

TIP: go past the cherry farm, over a small bridge and it is on the left hand side. We did get our deal on Groupon and was able to taste every single wine they offered as well as a bottle of pino (reg price ($15). We LOVED the sparkling almond ($15) as well as the slushy drink ($9 box) at the end. I bought one sparking almond as well as the mix for the slushy drink.
