Great visit , definitely enjoyed this winery . It's a family owned winery in Tracy , CA. Jamie owner was very hospitable young Lady & the wines were good. Lots of homemade baked goodies . I'm not the biggest yelper I have a few reviews and that's only because I'm so busy with being a mom and duties I don't take the time so I just do a lot by word of mouth. BUT I'm going to put all of that aside today to leave my experiences with Jeimy and the winery. It took me 4 years to finally say that's it we're planning a wedding and getting married. I wanted my day to be nothing less than beautiful because I only get married once! I searched around for places and started making calls and you know what? Windmill Ridge was the only one that respectful called me back. I made my appointment with Jeimy and it was easy she was so accommodating understanding I'm a mom and also work. While waiting for my appointment I still made calls and every call I made I didn't get that warm inviting call like I did with Jeimy. So let's fast forward! The day of our appointment Jeimy explained everything and went over costs and I was shocked like you must be kidding I get all this for the price I was quoted. I thought she lost her mind I mean she basically was planning it all and making it this easy for what the packaged cost. When she explained the winery and how her father in law did the flowers and took care of them by switching them in seasons. I knew then the love that had for that place is what I needed to complete my wedding. We booked the wedding date that day! Now the people she works for in the package is just as sweet and accommodating! It was easy every call every appointment. Yes, I was stressed planning but the wedding part was a breeze. Jeimy would check up on me and what really blew me away this was when her home caught on fire. Yes her home with her beautiful family and with her stress she still checked on me and made sure all was going well. My day was magical the weather the venue the food and laughter. Jeimy had it all planned so beautifully that I didn't want the night to end. I have never received so many compliments and I owe a lot to her. REVIEW FOR 2018 MOTHER'S DAY EVENT ONLY I wanted this experience to be fantastic, but it left me feeling very frustrated. I've been taking my mom out to Mother's Day brunch for the past 20 years, and this is the first time we were so disappointed. PROS: 1.       The winery is small, but charming. The grounds are well maintained and the overall setup of the event was fine. The winery is definitely a gem in Tracy. 2.       The staff was very attentive and courteous. 3.       The band, FunkyTim.com was EXCELLENT. CONS: 1.       PAPER PLATES, PLASTIC UTENSILS AND PLASTIC CUPS. I've NEVER been to a brunch anywhere that uses these. I was shocked when I saw that this was the setting. For such a lovely winery and occasion, this definitely cheapened the event. 2.       $75 PER PERSON. This would be fine if more thought was put into the details. I don't have a problem with paying this amount for a better quality selection of food. For just food and music (we did not do the painting), this was definitely not worth it. 3.       THE FOOD. The food was good, and would be more appropriate for a church picnic or backyard get-together. They only had two pasta choices as the main course, and sandwiches, this is unheard of for a Mother's Day brunch. There were no carving stations, no meat selection, no seafood and only one green salad choice. The desserts were cute, but they were boxed and appeared to be store bought. We saw one of the ladies cut open the box and place them on the table, in fact they were still cold/frozen L. The punch was warm and tasted like all the ice melted in it. I don't like pasta, so all I had was a half of a sandwich and the Caesar salad. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT WORTH $75. I would recommend that they list the brunch menu as a part of their advertising. This will help folks know what they're paying for. 4.       SEATING. We had to share a table with two other families, this would be OK if we were at a wedding reception or a family event. We weren't, we would have preferred to have a table to ourselves. Conversation between my family was awkward because we had others that were listening in. Also, I know there isn't anything that could have been done about the heat, but half of the table was in the baking sun. I kept hearing the other families complain about needing more shade. I know this is only the second year that they're putting on this event, so I'm sure in time they will be able to iron out the kinks. This can truly be an excellent experience and worthy of the pricetag if they are able to change the cons. read more

Had a great time here! We loved the Malvasia, the port, and the smokey red wine (Charbono- my Scotch loving husband's favorite). Our pourer was very knowledgeable, and was super attentive. It's a pretty place, with good wines. We really didn't know much about Tracy wines, but after going this weekend, I have to say I'm impressed, and we'll be back. These are small lot wines, and they're made with real craftsmanship. I think the Malvasia we tried had won a platinum award in Lodi! So not only are they good wines, but they're award winners- if you care about such things. The tasting fee is also very reasonable- only 5$ per person. read more

After a hefty tasting next door, we stumbled on over here for a tasting. The lady pouring the wines was not very engaging or informative about the varietals. The good thing is, she poured more than 1 teensy ounce of wine. I don't recall much more and nothing stood out as fantastic so.. there ya go. read more

We used this venue for my daughters wedding on Sunday. We loved how quaint the winery and gazebo are. It's a beautiful place for an intimate wedding. The grounds are quite beautiful for pictures too. The photographer had plenty of places to go for picture opportunities. Jeimy was very sweet working with us to make it such a special day. I went to this winery with a group of 14 women. It was outstanding. The owner and his workers were very nice. We got to try a lot of different kinds of wines, check out the back where the wine barrels are stored and check out the property in the back yard. The hors d'oeuvres were wonderful and the price was amazing. I would highly recommend this for a day date with a loved one or for a large group looking to have a wonderful time together. read more

Stopped by this winery on a Saturday afternoon. Tasting was $5 for 6 wines, but we got to taste an extra Chard. which came out to 7 wines! I must say that ALL the wines I tried were DELICIOUS! I enjoyed both chards. One was made in an oak barrel and the other was in a steel barrel. Both were light and yummy. Their Barbera was super yummy and their port was not your typical cough syrupy port. It was actually not bad. I am looking forward to coming here again and enjoying a glass or 2! read more

I came here with a friend from Sacramento for a quick wine tasting and I can not express how welcoming the environment and staff were. The owners were very sweet and thorough explaining all their wines and learned that the husband's father actually makes all the wine (which are all wonderful and made with love) the detail and condition in which the wines are made are close to perfection and even better than some in Napa that I have tried. I highly recommend this place for both the various selections of crafted wines and for the great service and kind hospitality. Will definitely be stopping by here again. I had meant to write this review immediately after our wedding. I think I'm still in a bit of denial that the day is really over! My husband and I took about four years to make the decision on where to have our wedding. Each venue we visited or suggested was just not quite right for one reason or another. Windmill Ridge was recommended to me by a coworker who's daughter had recently been married at the winery. She suggested we check it out. Not only did we check it out, but within and hour of meeting Bill and Stephanie and walking the property, we had placed a deposit on a date, signed paperwork, and joined the wine club. From beginning to end, we had the best experience. Stephanie sat down with us and went through all the details, patiently answering all of our questions. She made all of the decision making as easy as it could be. Honestly, I went into the day with the idea that something was bound to go wrong (as I had heard many stories from other brides) and that we would go with the flow and enjoy our day no matter what. The day was absolutely magical. We did not have one thing go wrong the entire day. The winery is gorgeous as it is. I had so many tears of joy that day beginning with seeing the ceremony set up in front and the back lawn set for our reception. It was just as I'd imagined, if not more beautiful. Looking back at pictures, I still feel like we were in a movie scene. Stephanie helped make sure that the timing of the event was right on. The ceremony was amazing and flowed very smoothly. During pictures, our guests enjoyed wine, food, and music. I've had several friends and family members comment on the venue and state that it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended. I cannot thank Stephanie and Bill enough for being such a large part of our best day ever. We really felt that they went out of their way to be sure the day was all we had hoped for and more! read more

Great small venue for a birthday or small wedding they have an a cute area outside with a little gizibo* if u should want an outdoor ceremony.. not sure wat days they have wine tastings but I thought their wine was good. Lovely Tracy winery. I think the winemaker is of Portuguese decent and they seem to gravitate towards Portuguese grapes, and they do some fantastic blends. While they mostly do reds, their whites are noteworthy, I particularly like the 09 chard. They also sell local olives and honey in the tasting room. Go give them a try! read more

We were scheduled to have an get together at another winery but there was a family emergency and the other winery could not let us in. we called and spoke with the owner here. she was very helpfull and made accomodations to help us out. they have a beautiful facility and amazing wine. make sure you try there dessert wine! read more

My husband and I would go for wine tasting at this winery whenever we visit my parents just to kill time. My parents lives just right across so hanging out at this winery is always something we look forward to. Not the best wines but the employees and the owners are awesome and very welcoming. The wine tasting fee is not bad either! Definitely recommend this winery to everyone if you are in the area. Would have to host an event here in the future. After not being able to visit this winery when it was closed on 7/3, we went back yesterday and had a pleasant time trying the various wines offered. Had my wedding here. Wouldn't recommend. My aunt had her wedding here in the past anencephaly I remember the gazebo being pretty clean but during my day, it was very dirty. Being old is one thing but it had a lot of dirt on it. Also, one of my bridesmaids over heard the owner's wife or someone who lived on the property talking about my family. Their security also locked my grandma out the property. My uncle had to move the gate so she could get in, Had I heard this sooner, I would have most definitely complained but all I can do is never recommend this place. I'm not one to pull a race card but from the negative backfeed I got from guest and my bridal party, these people weren't very friendly. read more
