My first time out at Valensin Vineyard and what a pleasant surprise. Freestyle events are rare and couldn't pass up the opportunity to enjoy great music at a great venue. Valensin is a hidden gem with its beach-like environment and tasty wine. The taco truck on site was a nice feature also. Plenty of parking, a chill environment and great place to hang out with friends and meet people. I'm sure I'll become a regular with their many events like comedy night, R&B, freestyle, paddle boards, etc. read more

I came here for their dueling piano event and was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the property is. The vineyard is very well maintained, with manicured grounds and a scenic lake. They even offer boating and paddleboarding, which adds a fun, active touch to the experience. Parking: Free with a decent number of spots for around 100 guests, but it could feel congested for larger events. There's only one way to in and out, so plan accordingly. Also, the road leading to the vineyard is quite dark at night: some areas have little to no lighting, so make sure your headlights are working well, especially since it's a bit of a drive from the main street. Drinks: Some of their popular options include: * Peach Mango Sparkling (11%, Lodi) * Zinfandel 2024 (15.6%, Lodi) * Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2019 (14%, Lodi) * Pomegranate Sparkling (11%, Lodi) They offer picnic snack trays, and for events, they bring in food trucks, which is a nice touch. Service: Friendly and efficient. One downside was staffing and restroom access. It seemed like they were a bit understaffed, and only 2 restrooms were open while others were locked. For an event with around 100 people, this led to long lines, especially in the cold. The event itself was held in a white outdoor tent by the lake, which created a great atmosphere. However, the path to the tent is all gravel with no defined walkway, something to keep in mind if you're wearing heels or thin sandals. I came here a couple of weeks ago for one of my friends birthday celebration. I've been here a couple of times, but on this particular Sunday, it was super packed. It was a great crowd with great music. I had a mango wine slushy. The weather was absolutely perfect. Just a heads up. Make sure you plan on arriving within the time that they open up because parking fills up fast depending on the event. I will say they did accommodate those of us who had to park in the real dirt area. They had golf cart assistance on deck so I really appreciated that. The vibes were amazing, the dj played nice music everyone was dancing and having a good time! The views were beautiful. The wine was great loved the slushy! The lady with the blonde hair that works inside was so nice and helpful, my only complaint would be the lady who helped us was rude and had horrible customer service! I asked her about some of the wines and she knew nothing! I also heard from one of other attendees that she was rude to them. One persons bad vibes can ruin a whole experience! It was my first time coming to this winery. I've never heard of it until I was invited to their All White Party event. The place is beautiful. I really love that the background from any where you sit is this beautiful lake view. I loved everything about the ambiance of this place. The Event: It was fun. The live band, music after the band, dancing, and sipping on wine. Although we had a great time there are some improvements that can be made. Recommendations: 1. It was super hot, they could have made the covered patio area a lot bigger because there was plenty of room. The event could be at a later time when it's a bit cooler. 2. The price: we basically paid for an entrance fee. It did not even include food or wine. We had to pay for food and drinks. They could have served us at least a glass of wine and small bites. 3. The food: it was food trucks which I did not expect. It was taco and BBQ. It was ok. 4. Parking: I wish I knew the parking situation. The parking is crazy. We had to walk far. Granted there was guys driving in golf carts (one passed us with no passengers and didn't stop for us). They didn't even have disabled parking spots available. 5. It was ok: the ladies at the entrance were nice. That's about the only service we got. The umbrella where we sat kept falling and workers were no where to be found. 6. Overall experience: Mediocre. Such a fun experience at Valensin Vineyard for the paddle boarding event. It was $20 for entry and you bring your own paddle board, they have rentals. It also included one glass of wine, with 3 to choose from. They have a swim up bar where you can buy other cocktails, we got the bucket of wine, their pomegranate was so good. Also got a blended margarita- it was just okay definitely would not get it again. They had ran out of mango. They have a ton of different events they put on at the winery that I will be attending this summer like their R&B night. The lake is 1 mile long so there is plenty of space, it has 2 islands with beautiful weeping willows. It was a pretty cool experience and would do it again, as I would love to do the glow paddle. read more

This is a very nice quaint winery right outside of Sacramento. It was a very cold day when we attended, however we enjoyed the experience. The vendors were great! Their products were very nice. We especially enjoyed our wine sample as well as the live music! The yelp staff and fellow yelpers were great! The one suggestion that I think would have improved the experience for all those that attended is....it would have been great if hot apple cider or some sort of hot beverage was offered/sold due to the very cold weather. Outside of that all was good. I would definitely consider visiting again in warmer weather. read more

I went on a Sunday for the R&B Grooves event, and the vibe was just right for a relaxing day out. That said, ticket prices and the cost of food and drinks felt a bit on the higher end, especially considering the portion sizes. Still, if you're looking for a scenic spot with good music and a chill atmosphere, it's worth checking out. read more

I attended the Yelp Passport Event: Women Owned Business Pop Up at Valensin Vineyard, and was amazed with the beautiful surroundings with a lake on one side, and the spacious vineyard on the other. The setting was so relaxing and would be so welcoming for events, like weddings, birthdays and celebrations. We were able to visit so many different vendors owned by women, and so impressed with the artistic and charming crafts, whether it was jewelry, soaps, decorative pieces, desserts, spices, or food vendors. The so-called Mother's Day sip and paddle event was underwhelming at best. Had nothing to do with Mother's Day. Not a single decoration or banner or simple "Happy Mother's Day." Just "are you here to paddle? Have you filled out the waiver online?" Gave us a wrist band and asked what wine we'd like. A small pour and that's all they provided. We essentially paid a good price for a small glass of wine and the privilege of using our own paddle boards on their manmade lake. They explained they had a paddle up bar to purchase more drinks. A group of about 8-10 of us sat on our boards waiting and no one bothered to look outside to take our orders. Had to disembark and go inside and stand in line to order. I came here last year for my goddaughter's graduation party. The venue is so beautiful! I love that you can rent paddle boats and cruise along the lake. When the sun set, and the little white lights came on, it felt magical. They have a variety of food and drink options. Reds, whites, bubbly...It all tastes great! The service is wonderful. Such an amazing winery! A very special shout-out to our host, Colleen, who went above and beyond to make our visit perfect. She helped me plan and organize an outing for myself and 14 others on a Friday afternoon, and everything went so smoothly thanks to her. From start to finish, Colleen was exceptional--she made sure our drinks were always replenished, checked in regularly, and created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly made us feel catered to. On top of the outstanding service, the winery offers incredible amenities you don't usually find elsewhere. Paddle boarding and pedal boat rentals added such a fun, unique twist to our experience and made it even more memorable. Combine that with the gorgeous vineyard views, and it's a day we'll never forget. The staff here are truly the best--friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure guests have a great time. I've been here a few times and never had any issues until my last visit. I recently came on the 21st to celebrate my birthday with a group of 7. I made a reservation for 12:00pm. When I arrived there were other guests waiting outside with us. The staff was still opening up the bar, setting their signs and menus out, opening umbrellas, etc. It was clear they had just showed up right before we did. I don't understand why they would allow people to book reservations or walk in at opening time when they are not ready to serve. When I was escorted to my picnic table I asked one of the workers (Hispanic woman) if she was going to take our orders (which then have always done every time I've been there) or if we needed to go to the bar. She said either or. Then another lady comes (lightskin African American woman) and tells us we need to walk to the bar. She also said the bar next to the picnic area would be open in a few moments. It was not open until 1-2 hours later once their line dancing started. When we ordered our drinks I asked for a flight, the lightskin young woman said we can't order flights at the picnic table. I assume it's because they don't want glass on the sand but there were people with glasses on the chairs next to us, I've been told in recent visits that I could take my glass to the chairs, and people had glasses under the tent right next to us. I don't know if this was a new rule but I wish there was some sort of accommodation for those of us who wanted to do tastings. They didn't offer to seat us somewhere else (there was available seating elsewhere) or explain why and I didn't want to cause a scene so I just left it at that. When ordering our drinks, my friend was about to order a water bottle and the same lightskin woman stopped her and said she'd bring some water over. Once again in previous trips to this winery they normally bring over a large bottle of water to our table. When we asked her for the bottle she offered she said we could either buy the waters or walk to the big jug that was near the entrance. We were fine paying for waters in the first place but then she lied about a service she offered us. Every time I've previously visited this winery i always sat on the dock. I am not sure why only certain services are included when you sit on the dock since there is no additional price. To me it just felt like the lady didn't want to do her job or didn't feel like walking over to the picnic tables. I probably won't be back to this place. read more

First of all, you are required to line up along a busy country road with fast moving through traffic while you wait for the gates to open. The website does not tell you that the walk-in fee is twice that of an online ticket. Colleen, who was collecting fees and passing out wristbands is about as people-friendly as raccoon in heat (or could this just be her response to people of color, which I witnessed multiple times?) Colleen was about as rude and condescending as it gets in Northern California. The vibe at the winery among the patrons was pretty smooth. We had great neighbors for the event, but after experiencing Colleen upon entry, it was enough to sour the entire afternoon. I won't be back. We came with a large group and I doubt any of us will be returning. read more

I've had my eye on the Winery for awhile. Who can pass up this super blue water backdrop? Lol My sister and I did a tasting on Saturday afternoon and we were actually pretty disappointed with their wine offerings. The white wines and rose all tasted watered down. Really wasn't enjoyable. The reds were great though. Atleast the staff were friendly and quick. The winery itself is pretty but I can imagine it gets full quickly as it's not the largest space. read more

This review is specifically for yesterday's Yelp Elite event in celebration of Women's History Month at Valensin Vineyard & Winery (Sunday, 3/24/24). The event ran from 12-4 pm and as a Yelp elite member, I received free admission into the event as well as free samples at every popup shop. +1s and friends could enter a coupon code online to receive discounted admission. I brought my husband along! We arrived right at 12 pm so we could check in asap and enjoy our afternoon. Valensin sits on 40 acres in a beautiful area of Galt and sports their own private waterskiing lake! There is plenty of waterfront seating with comfy outdoor Adirondack chairs. Upon checking in to the event, we were given a glass of wine and a keepsake cup. I chose the pomegranate sparkling wine while my husband chose the rose. I love a good sparkling wine and these were excellent. We sipped our wine, shopped around and supported the women-owned businesses, grabbed some delicious food, and spent a relaxing afternoon by the lake. There were a few species of birds flying about as well, and as someone who enjoys birdwatching, I appreciated the shorebirds and barn swallows gracing our presence. When we finished our first glasses of wine, we decided to try some other flavors. My husband really liked my pomegranate sparkling wine so he ordered that for his second glass. I wanted to get the peach mango sparkling wine and it was definitely my favorite wine of the day. It was perfectly bubbly, had wonderful notes of both peach and mango (neither outcompeted the other), and was very refreshing. Our CM Rachel of Yelp Sacramento was amazing at putting this event together. It was extremely well-organized, complete with live music from an all-woman band! The grounds at Valensin were beautiful and I don't think I could have asked for a more relaxing day, or a better first Yelp Elite event for me. I would love to return and try some other wines that Valensin has to offer. I noticed they offered flights in other reviews and I would be keen on trying one next time. Place is a cute little tucked a way spot. Very updated and super cute. Just note that it's a bit of dirt roads you have to walk through to get to the actual site. I'd have to say it's not an upper scale winery If that's what you're looking for. It's more relaxed and casual. However, you can dress to impress for yourself. They have seating on the dock and the rest are picnic tables and chairs near the water side. So along side of the dirt and sand areas. The workers are friendly. They get pretty busy but fairly attentive. So they just take a bit of time. They have a good variety selection of wine. Enough to cater to each kind of tasting. They do flights. They normally would have a food truck there for food. We came as a casual day outing to sip and talk so we didn't expect too much. I would return to hangout another time. read more

I attended the Yelp Passport Event: Women Owned Business Pop Up at the winery this past weekend. It was an absolute gem hiding out right in Galt!! The property is very nice with pretty blue water to enjoy in warmer months. Plenty of seating both by the shore of the water and throughout the guest area. I really enjoyed the vendors that were chosen for the event. There was great food (tacos tacos tacos), live music and the wine was to die for! We bought a bottle of the Peach Mango by The Plunge. I MUST find out of this wine is in Raleys or Safeway because it is delicious. Almost like a wine cooler. I cannot wait to revisit the winery again in the summer with friends. 10/10! read more

On our most recent trip to the Sacramento/Clarksburg area, we decided to try a new place before hitting our usual destinations. Valensin Vineyards was recommended and did they ever live up to it! The setting was beautiful with a lake, covered (and not covered) places sit and enjoy. It was quiet and peaceful and was a bit of an oasis in my opinion. We tried a couple flights of wine which were all very good. We had excellent and knowledgeable service from the host who was there. She was friendly, funny and made the experience quite nice. Everything started off great. We had decent wine (not the greatest), but the weather was nice and the live music was a vibe. Asked for a couple of splashes of different wines, some were accommodated, some ignored. Bought a bottle of what we wanted to try that they didn't have open. But... after a couple of hours we got told we had to pay up or move because they had other reservations. We had just ordered more wine. You would think something would have been said as we ordered more. They are happy to take your money and then move you along. Was looking forward to bringing friend and family here. Interesting place. Pros: cool setting with the man-made (if alarmingly blue) lake -- which I can imagine will be amazing in the heat -- and very friendly, helpful staff. Several different areas to sit and enjoy, and reservations are strongly advised. Plentiful parking, a must on what was a very busy Sunday afternoon. Nice selection of wines/slushies, though I honestly don't know if you can actually do a traditional wine tasting here. I had a Barbera, which was excellent, and my girlfriend had one of their flavored sparkling wines (pomegranate I think?) and that too was great. Cons: super pricey -- my less-than-generous glass was $13 (perhaps one-third full, though it's a very large glass) and a bottle would have been $36 ... while it was a really good wine, it's definitely not worth that. The sparkler was $9, so more reasonable for the same quantity. Live band under a huge tent playing decently (mostly older R&B) but SUPER LOUD and reminding me of a tacky wedding reception. But that's me being an old man I guess. Other notes: taco truck on site, though we ate beforehand so can't comment on the quality. Overall, a decent experience that we might come back to on a hot day without the band (according to our hostess, the music is usually a Thursday/Friday night thing) and see if a quieter ambience might make for a more enjoyable overall experience. read more

I stopped in on a weekend they were having a club members special event and usually wineries can do that plus still host the tasting room at the same time. my wife and I experienced a very unfriendly attitude here a young lady came over to where we sat down outside as we were new there and didn't really know where else to go. The young lady was fairly rude and asked if we were wine members and when we said no, we were there to taste wine. She just said it was for members only event and we would have to leave and then she made sure to watch us all the way to our car. I would've thought she would have said this area is designated for the members only but there is a wine tasting room over in this other area. You might want to see, but that was not the experience we had there. Fortunately, there's a lot of wineries near us and most of them are much friendlier . read more
