A fantastic way to experience Midtown Sacramento! We took the Midtown Walking Food Tour in October 2025, and had such a great time exploring the area. Our guide, Mariah, was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, art, and culture of Midtown Sacramento -- she really brought the neighborhoods to life. Every stop was delicious and unique -- from Kupros and Saigon Alley to World Famous Hot Boys, Ginger Elizabeth Chocolate, and Alaro Brew Pub -- each had its own flavor and story. The walk between stops was just as enjoyable, especially seeing the colorful Wide Open Walls murals along the way. Such a great little way to spend a half day! A few girlfriends and I took the 4 hour Taste of the Delta tour and had fun; it was a chill day of friends and sipping wine. We toured a cute little pear cider orchard where we met the owner (did you know pear cider isn't called cider, it's called Perry?), a great little eatery winery where we met the winemaker, and a cool winery with live music and a small charcuterie. The tastings were generous at all locations, and there were bathrooms at every stop. The guide was fun, knowledgeable, and relaxed. The venues were friendly and open to questions. You drive your own car and are able to take photos along the way. I will not only be back to the wineries we visited but will definitely take another SacTown Bites tour again! read more

She was easy to get a hold of and even helped me get a cake from Freeport Bakery to end the tour with. Heather curated such a fun day for my small work team to enjoy the Sacramento area, while we were in town for a meeting. We enjoyed a relaxing bruch, sampled amazing honey at a meadery, and sipped delicious wine at a winery with a beautiful view of 2000 acres of vineyards. Because of Heather's relationships, we got to meet the owners of each estabishment and learned much history about the region. I treated my family to the Sunflower tour and brunch last week as an early celebration for my mom's birthday. Overall, Heather curated a unique and wonderful experience. We started the morning in a sunflower field and learned about the uses and other information. Then, we went to the California Ag Museum nearby and had charcuterie and wine. The tour was great and we also got to sample local honey while learning about it from the beekeepers at Boujikian family apiary themselves. The varieties of honey we were able to sample were delicious! After that, we were treated to brunch at Savory cafe in downtown Woodland. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience because we were able to support local businesses while learning about different agricultural industries in the valley, I can't wait to do more tours with SacTownBites! read more

Sunflowers, bees and brunch was much more than I expected! From a honey tasting to learning so much about bees ( I truly never put a lot of thought into them, but I am amazed at what we learned!) . We have all heard of wine tastings, but a honey tasting? The honey was wonderful. There are a host of variables making each unique in its own way. Thank you and a shout out to Solabee honey. I feel bad I can't remember the young ladies name who talked about bees but she was a wonderful addition to the experience. Sunflowers. For me it was about the sunflower! Years of hearing about them I finally got to get up close and personal. What a treat. We were able to go into the fields with them ( and all the ) to take pictures. ( do NOT do this without an invitation from the farmer!) so amazing!!! Then we enjoyed a wine tasting from Turkovich family winery., at the Agricultural Museum. Pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the wine was. ( bought a few bottles to take home) . Learned a few things about farming and they had some wonderful displays of vintage farming equipment. Then off to Savory Cafe where chef /owner Juan Barajas prepared us an incredible brunch . Fresh salad, avacado toast and eggs Benedict to die for! We topped it off with deep fried cheese cake. Thank you Heather and everyone who helped put this amazing day together! And the gift bag at the end was icing on the cake. Highly recommend! Well worth the drive from Reno. We had a delightful time on our Capay Valley Farm Tour. We started at the Capay Valley Lavender farm which was simply amazing! A dynamic lady name Sherri owns and runs the farm. Her passion for life and lavender was captivating! At our second tour at Taber Ranch Vineyards we had a delicious snack and favorable wine tasting...so enjoyable! We finished at SEKA Hills Olive Mill and Tasting Room with a fascinating history talk about the YOCHA DEHE WINTUN Nation People and the olive farm. We enjoyed an olive oil tasting, some wine, and a lovely charcuterie. Our tour guide Megan was so pleasant which added to the delightful experience. Overall, take the Capay Valley Farm Tour!!! On Saturday, my 4 HS friends and I enjoyed A Taste of the Delta tour. Erin was a great guide. Hemly Cider tour was very informative and delicious cider. Lunch at Husick's Tap House was delicious with a cold beer. Silt Winery was fun and tasty too. It was pretty hot at Silt but the large fans helped! Gary was very informative on the 4 white and 2 red wines. However, it was very difficult hearing Gary from the large fans humming noise and the musician singing and playing his guitar. The music was very enjoyable but just could not hear Gary! Our party was able to enjoy a 20% wine discount too. I bought 2 white and 2 wines from Silt. Also, bought various ciders from Hemly. I booked a private tour ("Taste of the Delta" ) for my daughter's 30th birthday and it was such a wonderful day! Heather arranged everything including a Sprinter van so we could fully enjoy our tour. She was so responsive and communicative leading up the day. The tour was so much fun. We visited three sites- a cidery and two wineries. It was so interesting to see how pear cider is made and of course we enjoyed tasting all the varieties of cider. Next, we had a delicious lunch at one of the wineries with live music. The last stop was at another winery where we enjoyed a charcuterie plate and wine tasting. Heather was very attentive throughout the whole day. She took lots of great photos and sent me the link. Enjoyed this tour last month and have told many friends, family, and coworkers about how great it was! Heather was friendly, knowledgeable, and has created a fabulous walking food tour. I grew up in Sacramento and frequent many midtown restaurants but still tried new things and learned new facts about the area. My favorite stop was by far Magpie- the hummus bowl was delicious. I enjoyed the different cocktail options at The Porch and loved that the Ginger Elizabeth chocolate came wrapped and could be enjoyed later. If you're thinking about doing the food walking tour, stop thinking about it and do it! And add on the drink package. 10/10 read more

This past weekend my best friends and I joined Heather for a food tour. She was very knowledgeable about the farm to fork movement and the murals around downtown Sacramento. Every place she took us to had amazing food! I purchased the ticket that included drinks and it was definitely worth it. Had the luck of attending one of the soft opening Farm to Fork walking tours for this company with a few friends for my birthday and was not disappointed! Heather was a very informative guide (and business owner, yay women owned business!) She shared many stories about the food, restaurants, and chefs we were visiting which was such a nice addition to the amazing cuisine! We visited SIX spots and I was stuffed with deliciousness by the end! I had been to a few of the places before, but we tried new dishes on the tour which I now love and would have never tried otherwise. The Hummus Bowl, of all things, at Magpie was killer! I have been on walking tours and food tours in many other cities and this was a great blend of both local information and amazing food, totally worth the value! My experience on SacTown bites was all great. The guide was great with juicy bites of information about the area, the restaurants, the chefs, and the farms. The food was yummy with more juicy bites from a variety of different kitchens and chefs. I have to admit the ice cream sandwich from Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates was my favorite. It was out this world divine. The walk was lovely and just the right length that anyone could do it comfortably. It helped to walk off all the food before we dove into the next one! Having previously done the walking food tour in Midtown with Heather, we just took the A Taste of the Delta tour to celebrate my 53rd Birthday, and our amazing host was Erin. Much like Heather, Erin is a wealth of knowledge of the area, its history and of the places we visited. It was really neat to see how discretely located some of these places can be and to know that such interesting products come from these places. I liked hearing about the history of the businesses, what makes them unique and how the business and their products have evolved into what they are today. Like our last tour with Heather in Midtown, A Taste of the Delta with Erin did not disappoint! We would love to go back and visit these places again on our own or on another tour. We had a great tour - definitely a 5 star experience. Heather took us to five different venues and at each we experienced delicious fare, and interesting background stories about the venues and the food/drink. Our adult party opted to include the drinks and we had a variety of options at each stop. Heather's walking route to each restaurant took us to some remarkable murals.
