I want to start off by saying getting married comes with so much work, head space and money. I downloaded so many wedding apps to help me in any way and our top priority was our venue. Where we want to leave memories that we can cherish and hold on to. We found this vineyard through a few wedding apps and felt it wasn't far for families to travel to but far enough to feel special. During our consultation we got to meet the AMAZING Alina who owns the vineyard. She introduced us to some delicious wines and got down to business of touring her venue and the scenery she has to offer. Within moments it felt like a dream. The warmth her vineyard offers with her family as the caretakers you can tell they pour themselves into what Grace Vineyard is. A place for people to come and relax and enjoy life. A place to create memories. The fact that her vineyard offers all inclusive as well was just the cherry on top! When I say she takes care of you I mean she takes care of you. We had children at our wedding which most people do not want to deal with the stress of baby sitting but with Alina not only did she offer fun jumbo grass games but she also offered a lifeguard on hand to make sure no little ones got into the pool. The worry of drama was out the door when she offered all night security as well! We also had a 9 person band and with constant communication we were able to have my husband have his wedding dream by having a live band! Her willingness to make sure that our wedding was everything we wanted and more I just couldn't have asked for a better day. My husband and I will forever love this place and keep a spot of them and Alina in our hearts. We will definitely be back to enjoy our favorite wine and truly just come back to bring the memories of our wedding day again. Would recommend this place to ANY Bride.

It has not been chosen for you. But wait you can actually choose your wine but it is not time yet" . I do remember i have been picking up my monthly even if ita not due yet as long as it is the same month. I left the place and called them within 3 min to cancel me membership. Talking to a man , he dos not even ask me " is there a reason" or maybe he can offer how can the situation be better. Nope! None. Even gave me the beat reason without regret to cancel. The expanse of the vineyard itself is amazing in the forefront of blue skies and sunlight. Lots of parking is available on their gravel lot. We stood at the main tasting bar to try four wines. The Chardonnay and especially fhe old vine Zinfandel stood out as excellent to us and we ended up getting some bottles. As there weren't many folks doing a tasting on a weekday we got VIP treatment and had a deljghtful conversation, and education about the wines, from the person pouring for us. We really enjoyed our stay and the surroundings made it extra nice. Compared to the hype of Napa and Sonoma this winery and others in the Lodi area are down to earth and affordable in comparison, especially for tastings. This place very much is worth a visit. We were greeted by friendly staff and a complimentary pour. Prior to visiting Heringer Estates, I noticed they offered a sweet flight which was a huge reason why I wanted to visit; however, it was not on the menu. Luckily for me they were able to accommodate me by making a custom flight. Our flight of tastings consisted of three pours: Moscato, Chardonnay, and a port. We even received a sample of their popular wine slushy. My friend and I both ordered the same tasting and we were very impressed with all of them. She especially liked the moscato, and I especially liked the chardonnay. Although, I really did enjoy all of them. The staff member seemed very knowledgeable and explained each one to us. I can't wait to come back for more! Especially on a warmer day to enjoy a wine slushy. If you enjoy going on walks, they have stairs that lead you to the levee. Their vineyard is only a twenty-minute drive from Sacramento. If you don't like crowds, I recommend going on a week day.

The main lawn area was closed off for a wedding starting at 4:30 PM, so we set up on the extended grass section to the left. We brought a mat to relax on and a deck of cards, which turned into some pretty competitive games of Speed. For food, we ordered 2 dozen oysters and a pepperoni pizza with added jalapeños. We specifically mentioned NO pineapple due to my partner's allergy. After finishing our oysters, our pizza was finally ready... and guess what? It had pineapple on it. Thankfully, we checked before taking it back to our area. The staff remade it correctly, and about 30 minutes later we got the jalapeño pizza we originally ordered. It was absolutely delicious! One more little hiccup: after opening my tab, the staff member forgot to return my ID. I didn't realize it until I was already back in Elk Grove, so I had to make the trip back to pick it up. Unfortunately, that feeling quickly changed when I witnessed security going through an older woman's purse to enforce the "no outside food" policy. It immediately created a sense of discomfort and changed the atmosphere from welcoming to uneasy. While waiting in line, I also overheard a customer frustrated about being double charged, and staff mentioned there was no manager available on-site to help resolve the issue. The gentleman assisting me came across as dismissive, answered personal phone calls while serving customers, and made the experience feel inattentive rather than hospitable. The pizza was delicious, although the wine was underwhelming for a winery experience. Overall, this place has beautiful potential, but the customer service and management experience did not match the atmosphere the venue presents.

The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a historic beet sugar refinery from 1934-1993 that has wine shops and tasting rooms for local wineries. They have over a dozen wineries. Wine tastings average $15 and most wineries waive the fee if you buy a bottle. They have wine shops in the main building and in the other building. Don't forget to walk back and to the right to the shops in the separate back building, there is 3-4 more wineries. Each winery are literal walled shops with their own seating areas. Temperature controlled which is nice on hot summer days. Each have their own wine tasting, food offerings, and special events. Old Sugar Mill is less than 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The buildings are beautiful. They kept the historic brick walls and exterior. It has a modern shabby chic look. Three different brands owned the refinery. It all began in 1934 with Amalgamated, American Crystal Sugar Factory (1936-1982), and Delta Sugar (1983-1993). The sugar was refined by local Northern Californian grown beets. The buildings was renovated in 2000 for its current use. Awesome concept and beautiful architecture design. They also host weddings and events. They have a banquet room with slideshow equipment. There is also an outdoor lawn and adjoining paved patio area that is shaded in the afternoon by the buildings that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue. On hot summer days, the Delta breeze kicks in for instant cool down. No outside food are picnics are allowed. On the weekends, they have food trucks. Plus the majority of the wineries sell food (appetizers) as well. Also no pets are allowed (excluding service animals). The restrooms are located right by the front entrance.

Bathrooms- They have many stalls in the bathroom located to the left of the entrance. Temperature- It's cool inside, a little too cool for us today. It was 63 degrees out today and warm in the sun. I bet in the sweltering heat of our summers this is the perfect place to be. The Sugar Mill is an indoor venue. They have three different building with different wineries at this time. So, there is a little walking outside. Wine Barrels- You can buy half wine barrels for your garden for sale. Seating- They have lots of little seating areas. Inside they have a whole room with seating and nice decor. The tables are draped in white table cloths and there are stacks of wine barrels as the back drop. They have a palm court in the back and it's so quaint and beautiful. Perfect for sipping some wine slowly and chit chatting with friends. If you are looking to sit in the sun there is are a set of tables and chairs out back near the food truck. Ambiance- I love the location and building. It's an old Sugar Mill that produced sugar from sugar beets. That industry has now ended and it's now a place to visit many wineries. It's the only place that I know of that have numerous wineries and offer wine tasing for a minimum fee.
