I had lunch here and had a wine tasting and it was so good! The food was good but the wine was amazing! It was really cool too seeing all the artwork on the walls. It gave it a very medieval feel. I would definitely go back here even if it was only for a tasting!

I was really excited to try The Dancing Fox. This was our first visit, and we arrived right as they opened, so the wait wasn't an issue. Unfortunately, the first impression walking in wasn't great. The servers appeared unwelcoming and exhausted, and there wasn't much of a greeting or warmth. After we sat down, that seemed to be the overall tone. Our server was very dry--maybe it had been a long night, but the energy felt low from start to finish. The food came out on the greasy side and lacked seasoning. The standout dish was the calamari--the pieces were large, meaty, and satisfying. The fish and chips looked great in photos, but it didn't taste fresh and had an oddly papery texture. I also tried a cherry cider wine, which leaned very sweet--almost like a port, and not quite my preference. One of the most disappointing aspects was the lack of wine flight options. When I asked about tastings, I was told I'd need to sit at the bar next time, which felt a bit dismissive. Overall, it wasn't my best restaurant experience in Lodi. I had high hopes, but this visit didn't quite deliver.

Thiss place is huge, and has outdoor seating options. It was a beautiful first Sat in Oct, we opt to sit outside. Service was quick and attentive. We ordered 2 beers in opposite spectrums. A light pear cider and a dark Stout, Barrel aged Yeti. Both were great. For food, we had a tritip sandwich and a Cranberry Walnut Salad. Both were tasty with house made bread. After our meal, we walked to the back for complimentary wine tasting. We asked for reds, and were poured generously with so many bottles. We ended up buying the new blend and the port.

Stopped in here as part of the wine and chocolate journey. The tastings and service were great and so was the complimentary food provided. The winery was beautiful and overall a great stop for sure!

Veggie burger with fries

One of the best veggies burgers! The patties are house-made with many fresh ingredients. The patty holds together well. Big portion. Highly recommend. I prefer the onion rings over the fries. I heard the chicken caprese sandwich is really good! I also want to try their fish and chips. I haven't done their wine tasting here. The service and restaurant is real nice. I love the decore. Bathroom is clean. They do have a parking lot as the street parking can be hard.

First visit based on a recommendation and it was worth it Food - all the food ordered was delicious. The portions were huge. We shared among the table as it was overwhelming for one person. Ambience - we sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air. Very relaxing vibe Service - at first our sever was a little rigid but as time went on he relaxed and become more friendly and smiled. He was on top of things though Overall great experience. Look forward to the next visit

Lodi-After a long day of winetasting, we were ready for some snacks! This place fit the bill. Very dark and moody inside and super inviting. Our waiter was awesome and our appetizers were delicious. I will think about that hummus until I have it again someday! The bruschetta was garlicky and delicious too.

I love the apps here! Great pairing with the drinks. Bruschetta, calamari and the sliders were soooo on point. Highly recommend those. We didn't get entrees but the burger looked good. I'd get that next time. I loved the one and only beer lager on their menu. It's a brewery so I'd expect more options for the lager but didn't find any. Also my partner who is a self proclaimed wine connoisseur, stated the wine was slightly watered down. I thought it was alright from my one sip. Seating is awesome tho! I liked the outdoor seating patio style. Great private and romantic as well. Good indoor seating for those who want it too. Parking right outside. They have their own parking lot. Staff are friendly and prompt with their service.

I've been wanting to trying Dancing Fox for years! WOW! So cute. Love that they have beer and wine! The place is very cozy and warm. They have a wonderful bar and outdoor patio! The service was top notch. The drinks were awesome, we had the pear cider and the Luna Morta(?), basically the sour! So yummy! We ordered the fish and chips! The fish was very tasty and the batter wasn't too thick making the fish nice and crispy. The fries were to die for! The French dip was amazing! The bread soft and the beef slices were very tender! Can't wait to come back!

This place is so beautiful and rustic! Wine cellar vibes with pretty greenery. I really enjoyed my birthday lunch here and always have good experiences when I come: I had the veggie patty - what's awesome about it, is it is actually made with black bean and real ingredients. Loved the seedbun as well. Everything here tastes so unique and flavorful. Fries were nice and crispy. We had some wait time for a table so they gave us some complimentary samples of wine in the tasting room. Service was great all around. Definitely a must visit if you come to Lodi!

Decor

This place is pretty cool, the decor is awesome! It as our first time visiting and all of the food and drinks were great! The pizza had a ton of bbq sauce so that was a little too much for me but everything else was excellent. Next time we are in the area we will visit again. Cool vibes, good food and awesome decor!

Lasagna

Stopped here for a late dinner. Bought a couple bottles of wines. We started with the calamari. It was thick pieces but a bit too crunchy. I had the lasagna. Its a huge portion so you could share! Flavorful. The meat sauce made the dish. The chicken on the walnut cranberry salad is spicy. It was more of a peppery/jerk style chicken. We enjoyed the bread pudding- ordered a second because it was probably THE BEST bread pudding Ive ever had. The ambiance is chill. Would definitely come back for dinner next time Im in town.

Gorgeous patio seating

Had never been to Lodi, but saw this place on Yelp and was so excited to check it out. Every single aspect of this place was awesome. The building is gorgeous, service is spot on, and food/drink are unreal! Had the hummus appetizer which was GIANT and delicious. Hadn't eaten since 7am so the calories were needed, but it could've totally been for 4 people. I had the stuffed chicken as my main and it was so flavorful. To drink, we shared a bottle of the tempranillo which was delicious! Could taste the cherry, fig, and subtle dill notes. Overall, amazing and can't recommend enough!

Ask the Community - The Dancing Fox Winery & Brewery

Take dinner reservations?

Their site says they do not. I've never needed one but haven't gone during a street fair or event.

Is there any sweet wine and cheese 🧀 platter?

Are you open on Thanksgiving Day?

I would think not but you can always call or get on their website

Do I need reservation to have Brunch?

They currently do not take any reservations. It's first come first serve.

Question for the winery/restaurant: Are both the restaurant and wine tasting dog friendly?

I have brought my dog here many times! Super pooch friendly. Seating outside, and I'm very sure they will accommodate your wine tasting outside too with your doggo!

Do they take reservations?

Only on Easter and Mothers Day

When is their expansion done?

Hopefully sometime in early 2020. The bureaucracy within city limits is a pain in every city.

We visited…read moreStonum Vineyards a few weekends ago and were delighted with the rustic yet charming ambiance of the winery. We were quickly greeted by the friendly female hostess who offered us either indoor or outdoor seating. We chose to sit indoors to enjoy our tastings of both whites & reds . Normally I prefer reds however in the summer I enjoy a crisp Sauvangion Blanc or even a nice Rose. If you purchase a bottle your tasting fee is waived which is always a great deal. We enjoyed ourselves so much we returned for the Alpine Block party event which included tastings at Stonum Vineyards and two other nearby wineries. This fun filled evening included live music, food trucks, and the Lodi Wine trolley shuttling you back & forth between the wineries. Definitely a good time! I highly recommend Stonum Vineyards & Tasting Room for great wine, friendly service and well coordinated, entertaining events.

I have been trying to get to this place for a long time and finally I was able to make time to get…read morethere. I had driven by many times and it seemed like an appointment only place but I guess now they have enough staffing to open up the hours and days of the week. First, their reputation has always been very good. They've had some recognition from some reputable wine sources so I had very high expectations for the wine. In, short, the wines were very good. They had a nice selection from rose to the more Lodi styled red wines. I really did enjoy all the wines and the price point seems fair. I guess I was kinda hoping to meet the winemaker, learn more about their vineyards and purpose for growing certain varietals. When you get wine with a story it makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I really like this place and I'm hoping to make a stronger connection with the business since I consider myself an advocate for Lodi wines since my hobby is to compare our wines with the best out in the other regions of CA. Pretty heavy competition but so far Lodi is more than able to compete with certain types of wines aka Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Syrah and occasionally Cabernet.

The ingredients were fresh, and watching the pizzas come together right in front of us in a mobile wood-burning oven made the experience even better. We also tried an off-menu standout: a fig and prosciutto pizza finished with fresh greens and a beautiful balsamic drizzle--absolutely incredible. On top of the amazing food, the owners, Teresa McCord and Ryan McCord, were so sweet and genuinely customer-focused, which made the experience even more memorable. We paired the evening with wine tasting and ended up picking up a bottle for the owners of Lodi Fired Up Pizza, along with a bottle of Barbera to take home for ourselves.
