My Better Half, satiated after country-style ribs. I had the ribeye. Both were incredible.

Awesome food, AMAZING ambience and service. It's a historical landmark too - Recommended!

I haven't been to Brewsters in over 8 years and immediately when we came in on a Tuesday we were welcomed by Robert he took good care of us and asked us about what we like and i immediately shared my craving and love for a good French dip! He was sharing how great the French dip was and how fresh it was, I was like let's try it! Man I was absolutely blown away at how tasty and tender the French Dip was! I didn't even have to dip it the flavor was extremely good! The Aijus sauce was the perfect add to it! Thank you Robert for setting the French Dip standard now! It was so clean and a great environment.

this restaurant just changed ownership and it seems to be a much better operation now. The menu is transactional at the moment, but they definitely will have a smaller menu than they used to have but that probably is a good thing because the food quality was better than it was before. My wife had a vegetarian pasta, dinner, and I had steak with mushrooms. The service was very good for a Friday night, but they did not have many customers. We enjoyed the visit and the food and service were good so they deserve a four out of five . I am curious what their menu will look like later once the new owners have this place re-established a little better.

Came here for husband birthday dinner, the ambiance was lovely felt like we were definitely away from our home city. Staff were super patient and kind. A bit pricey, but portion size is huge. Appetizers and dinner food was yummy. Cocktails were alright.

My husband and I had delicious steak dinners, hubby had prime rib and I had steak with shrimp. Salads were served very quickly and the customer service was superb! Cocktails were delicious and great selection for everyone. On the weekend they have live music outdoors. We chose to eat inside, due to a hot evening.

The lunch menu was really small compared to the dinner menu. My lunch came with a soup and the waiter said it was a baked potato soup and what I got was clam chowder- I do not like any seafood so was thoroughly disappointed and grossed out when I ate my first bite.

Tried this for the first time today, showed up about 50 min after open and there was only one other table on a Sunday, which surprised me for how good it was. Tables trickled in after we sat. It was delicious! Menu is on the smaller side, but they had solid options. I went with the eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint. Hollandaise was on point. Potatoes were perfectly seasoned. Hubby liked his chicken fajita omelet. Will absolutely be back! I've had a few lackluster hollandaise experiences in the area so I was pleased to find this one! The ambiance was really nice, it had a lot of character.. lots of thoughtful details. Plus plenty of seating! Indoor and outdoor. Inside had at least 4 tables that could take a party of 8.

Perfect ending to lovely spring day with dinner at Brewster's. Always delicious with great service. The new menu has some great plates to choose from. Favorite eatery in Old Galt which always comes through with great service in a clean and charming decor.

The hosts were extremely friendly and gave my fur babies lots of attention and love. They even got us a little burger patty with a candle for him. It was quite warm and swampy outside though, and unfortunately, there were several mosquitoes making a meal out of us as well. Market Tavern has battery operated flyswatters that you can put on the table, but most of them were not charged so we couldn't really use them. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful though. Bathrooms were clean as well; actually kind of like the single bathrooms as they do have a few and give you more privacy. In terms of menu items, about 95% of the menu items are the same as Stockton's. I tried the Hamachi Crudo, which was refreshing and I also tried the roasted brussels sprouts. The duck confit was probably my favorite as it was so crispy. Although it sat on a bed of sweet sauce, I think it balance as well with the saltiness of the duck. I had a sparkling rosé locally from Lodi, which was refreshing and not stale/metallic. My friend got the salmon which she said was good too. I think overall, the big appeal for us was the fantastic service. At the end of our meal, our server generously gave both me and my friend little baggies of blueberry oatmeal cookies that we tried later. They were so fresh and delicious and soft. The staff here at market Tavern really made sure we got such great care and attention and treated us so well. My fur boys and I would be happy to return for that same experience. :)

I was put off by the blue cheese mash beneath it a bit but it's ok because the short rib was so delicious. For dessert I had the berry crumb cobbler. The cobbler came with a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top. It was great! The berries were sweet and the crumb top was so buttery. Everything flowed deliciously. My husband had the filet mignon.. he said it was made medium rare just as he asked. And of course the crème brûlée is the reason why he keeps coming back lol My go to for fine dining in Elk Grove! She likes a little spice so she had jalapeños added, which turned out to be a great complement to the drink. For lunch we had the prime rib hash and the shakshuka. My wife really enjoys shakshuka, but finds it relatively hard to find. She said the dish was "awesome". This was my first "hash". Though I enjoyed it, my one critique was too many pieces of fat. I appreciate cooking any steak with the fat as It definitely adds flavor, but no one wants to bite into pieces of just fat. My recommendation...cook it with the fat, but trim the fat before you dice it to add to the hash. Service was exceptional. We were greeted by Phillip, who was very personable, and he brought us water and drinks. Our server was Felicia. She was very friendly, upbeat, cheery, and made us feel very welcome. It was a nice surprise to see a hand written "Congratulations and Happy Anniversary" card. A complimentary treat of Focaccia bread with avocado and kimchi was given as well as a glass of champagne for the both of us. Our waiter was helpful, offering his opinion on what wine to take. We went for whatever he suggested for white (for her) and red (for me). Both were good picks. Our dinner started with toasted focaccia bread. She ordered a Caesar salad also. The appetizer was 3 large slices of bread with stracciatella and pear compote. The bread was light and buttery. The stracciatella was good blending well with the bread. The Caesar salad was a big serving. Tasty and simple, nothing special. Our main entree was filet mignon for my wife and wagyu rib eye for me, both medium rare. The filet was topped with garlic confit and I added chimichurri to my ribeye. The plating was simple, the protein with the side and roasted garlic. We also added smashed potatoes to share. Our first bite was the meat itself with no dressing. I can taste why the steak was priced that way. It just melted in my mouth and left a nice smooth aftertaste. We exchanged bites, she felt the same way and I agreed that her filet was perfect. After adding the roasted garlic and chimichurri, the slices were heavenly. The surprise for me was the smashed potatoes. First time trying this dish and I was impressed. The crispness of the skin was a nice surprise. The butter and garlic added another layer of flavor. We topped our dinner with a toffee bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramel. I'm not a dessert person but this, this was good! Overall it was a great dinner. The food was excellent.
