You want a solid classic breakfast then this is it. Richmaid is a cute old fashioned diner with nice servers. The biscuits were so good. Also you have to try the broasted chicken it is the so good, crispy and well seasoned. .

Chicken and waffles are the best!

We have a small parking lot and there happen to be one left when we arrived. As you walk in, it feels like you get a blast from the past. You see the diner stools at the front counter, the red booths, and of course the Coca-Cola Signs. we were greeted as soon as we walked in and sat promptly. As soon as we sent, she offered to get us something to drink. Your coffee never gets cold because they continually do their rounds to fill you up. They have the flavored creamers, so don't forget to ask for that. I always get the chicken and waffles. If I like today, it took a little bit longer, but it was because they cooked it to order which I prefer the chicken is crispy and juicy in the inside. The waffle is amazing. Great, friendly service and great food.

Saturday, January 24th, 2026 at approx. 4:30 PM Waitress: Liliana (Lily) OVERVIEW: Was on the way back to Stockton from Jackson and wanted some old-school steak & eggs from an old-school diner. Will probably come again someday, but not in any rush to do so. PROS: - Nice old-school diner atmosphere, with old-school menu choices & lots of old-school customers. - Excellent parking - Unlike other corporate-backed diners with high overheads, this venue is adequately staffed to keep the flow of business moving. - Friendly staff & clean bathrooms CONS: - Paper plates & plastic forks? RU Kidding? Lily said that their washing machine was broken, thus the paper & plastic. But having my meal served in this manner really ruined the general vibe of my dinner. - The portions were good. But the flavor was just OK. It felt like the general food experience didn't match the level of the nostalgic atmosphere of the interior. SUMMARY: If you want to enjoy the old Americana dining atmosphere, (something that is disappearing in this age of inflation) this place is definitely a nugget. Just don't expect 5 Star quality food.

We had great service at Richmaid restaurant. We had a large party (there were 10 of us) and our server Lily was very attentive and helpful. The restaurant's ambiance is old school diner, which makes sense because I heard they've been open since the 1930's! They have a diner area and then an additional room where we sat, and it would be a great place for a larger get together. Plenty of parking and lots of menu options. The reason for my two star rating was the food...I'd heard great things and had pretty high expectations, but the food didn't live up to the hype. I chose the pot roast, which in hindsight may have been a bad decision. The menu says it's "available until it's gone for the day", so I expected a homemade pot roast. I'm 99.9% certain it was actually beef from a can. Speaking of cans, also pretty sure the gravy was from a can too. Everything was very, very salty. I paid an extra $3 to have one of my sides be onion rings, but they were very soggy and the flavor was just off. With their dinners, you get a soup or salad, your entree with choice of two sides, and ice cream for dessert. The salad was iceberg lettuce, carrots, and beets with ranch and honestly, it was the best thing I ate. Maybe it was an off day in the kitchen, maybe I chose the wrong menu item...either way, it was really bad. I am however thankful for the good service!

We dined in for breakfast while we were in Lodi. This long standing locally owned family diner started as a creamery in the 1930's and all these years later is this family run diner. It was cool to visit and dine in a piece of Lodi's history. The diner judging from the photos on the counter hasn't changed over the years. We were greeted as we entered and seated promptly in a corner booth and given our coffees and a moment to look over their menu. They had something for everyone. We ordered their chicken and waffles and a ham steak with scrambled eggs and country potatoes. Both were delicious and we had leftovers. Their prices to portion ratio were just right and service was spot on! We would definitely return the next time we're in Lodi.

Richmaid Restaurant is a hidden gem! The fried chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful! Definitely not dry at all. We ordered the chicken and waffles plus a side of biscuits and gravy, and everything was so delicious. You can really taste the love in the food. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and it's a family-owned business! Highly recommend supporting them and enjoying some amazing food!

Loved this photo they have in the restaurant - brought back memories!

My grandparents lived in Lodi when I was a child - I was actually born there, and I remember Richmaid ice cream! 72 year later, I was with my son & saw that there is a Richmaid Restaurant, so had to check it out! It's such a cute place with that 50's vibe. The service was great and the food was delicious! We had lunch & I had the Beer Battered Cod from the senior menu, which was delicious. The portions were HUGE and came with soup or salad, another side (I had coleslaw) and ICE CREAM! A super bargain for under $20! Everything on the menu looked so good, that we got some broasted chicken to take home. I also took home a slice of peach pie. This is the kind of food I remember from my childhood and is the best of everything! So many calories, but amazingly delicious! I'll definitely return for another round!

Food was delicious. Maybe some of the best chicken and waffles I've had. Big portion and well priced. Staff is so friendly.

This is one of the old reliable breakfast places for me and my wife and happy to say it's still a classic but with a slight increase to prices. We both got our usual spreads and everything still hits the spot. Fast and friendly service as always with the ambiance to match.

It was our first time going here. A few of our friends have told us about it and that we need to their fried chicken. We decided to go for breakfast. It is located in an ok area of Lodi. The parking is decent. The restaurant kind of reminds me of like a Mel's Diner. The service was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was very good. I had a little taste of the hubby's chicken fried chicken and boy their chicken is so good. It's light and crispy. So perfectly fried. So we definitely had to order their fried chicken. We will definitely go back here just to order more of their fried chicken.....

    Fish n Chips to go

I give Richmaid three out of five stars. The food for the most part is pretty good. But I redact two stars because of some things that bother me and are a bit of a hassle. Every time I make a to go order, I have to ask for them to lay the paper down in the styrofoam clamshell, but if I don't ask them, they don't put it down. See my photo of the fish and chips. Deep fried food straight out of the fryer and onto the styrofoam. Fish with a side of burnt petrochemicals. Yum. It's been like this with every dish I've ordered. The paper that they do use, has print on it advertising their broasters chicken. The problem here is that the print transfers onto the food. Nothing like a full color broasters logo on your fish. If you go for the fresh fruit as a side, you will get a small cup of that typical medley of melon and grapes, but they're not fresh. The juice is drained out and has pooled at the bottom of the cup. And you've all had old melon. The side of fresh veggies are a mix of veggies that may vary from day to day, but they cook them with onions instead of butter, which doesn't really go with the flavor profile of the veggies to me. I just want a healthy alternative to french fries. That's what every restaurant gives you as a side. Other than that they do seem to be good at getting your order right for the most part, and they are quite friendly.

Ask the Community - Richmaid Restaurant

    Do they offer vegan options?

Very doubtful. I don't think they have vegetarian options.

We make an annual stop there because they have good liver and onions. BUT, last year the portion was very small. Has that changed?

    Less is the new Richmaid.

The food itself was very flavorful, so taste was not the issue. Unfortunately, the temperature was. The steak was barely warm, and both sides were completely cold. My dining companion and I were starving and on a limited schedule, so we did not want to spend additional time trying to flag someone down and waiting for the food to be reheated. Instead, we waited--and waited--for our server to return so we could ask for boxes. We ultimately took the food home to reheat and eat later, which is obviously not the experience you expect when dining at a restaurant. That brings me to the service, which has also declined over my last several visits. Our server never checked in after the food was delivered. Had she stopped by shortly after we began eating, we could have addressed the temperature issue and possibly had enough time to enjoy the meal properly. Instead, she was nowhere to be found until the end. I am not sure whether the food is sitting too long before being picked up or if the kitchen is not monitoring temperatures properly, but something needs to be corrected. Servers should also check on their tables at least once during the meal--not only return at the end when it is time to bring the check and collect a tip. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously because I know this restaurant is capable of providing a much better experience.

For a big place that was maybe 40% occupied, it was soooooooooooooooooo slow. One server from what I see, 2 bussers, and 5 others standing around chatting. Took a good 30 mins to get seated (there was tables available), though we got to go to their tasting room, and got a bottle of wine; another 20 mins to get the server's attention after getting seated and probably another 40 for the food to come. That was probably the most irritating.

It's set in a nondescript strip mall & the restaurant itself is small with outdoor seating with space heaters but we three sat at the bar so we didn't have to wait at all for a table. It's very casual yet chill ambiance. Parking is free & there is only one restroom for the entire restaurant. So plan ahead. My son & I had the Denver omelettes with sourdough toast. My wife had her usual veggie omelette with no cheese but with sourdough toast. When we were served our breakfast our faces lit up literally bc of the massive amount of food. And that's an understatement! We ended up with boxes to go bc there was so much food on our plate. Crazy amount! You can be sure we would return! Can't wait!

Trusting in Yelp reviews, we headed to Lodi's highly rated and popular Avenue Grill. Service was wonderful. Our server (blond lady with glasses) was friendly and chipper and had a very nice demeanor. She was on top of everything. Food came out quickly too. Seemed like the rest of the customers there were local regulars, who knew one another. Cozy, family-friendly vibez. I got the chicken fried steak with crispy potatoes. Good country gravy, seasoned potatoes, and chicken fried steak was delicious. Big portion, enough for leftovers. My husband got the steak & eggs. The steak was a little too dry and under seasoned to my husband's liking. He always orders medium-well, but it was more well. I did agree that it didn't have much flavor. But I had it the next day for leftovers and thought it was good mixed with my gravy and potatoes. So if you're looking for a good traditional breakfast diner, this is probably your spot. I don't think it was worth a drive from Sac, just because there are a lot of similar restaurants, but if you are already in the Lodi area, definitely worth a visit.

It's contemporary and the furnishings are quite comfortable. It's the type of place you can settle in and have a casual meal without feeling rushed. Prices are high yet the quality is excellent. For the first evening at the bar we settled into a high top table. You can sit at the bar, lounge type seating or outdoors on a pleasantly shaded patio. They had an expanded bar bites menu as the main restaurant is closed on Wednesdays... most of it quite enticing. We opted for cocktails to start and I chose a specialty Date Maple Old Fashioned. It was really good with a large ice ball to chill it. For bar bites we shared the pork belly sandwiches (small, delicious but messy to eat), the sausage skewers (amazing!) and crab cups (refreshingly light and easy to eat). After cocktails we had glasses of a light white wine, made with Santorini Greek grapes. For the next meal in the dining room the place was a buzz with activity but conversation was easy without a lot of excessive noise. It's intimate and the room is quite pleasant for a gourmet meal. We started with cocktails (same Old Fashioned) and shared the grilled Brussels Sprouts which were plentiful and ever so delicious. They were slightly over grilled for my taste yet it didn't distract from me enjoying them. We got bread which was a baguette with butter and the consistency perfect for a French style loaf. For my entree I debated between the scallops and the pork chop and went with the chop. I was quite pleased as the chop came in thick slices and drizzled with a tarragon mustard reduction sauce. It was amazing, tender, juicy and at 22oz I couldn't finish it all. It came with a tasty apple sauce and grilled seared cabbage. Absolutely delicious. Ed, celebrating a birthday, had steak which came with a huge bowl of mashed potatoes which I tasted. Oh my gosh, the creamiest potatoes ever! For dessert we shared the cheese plate, a really great way to end the meal, with glasses of a twany port. All of the cheeses from a brie to a hard cheese were top quality. Service both times was very attentive, professional yet personable. We were well cared for and everything went smoothly. It's expensive yet the experience and value is worth visiting. Make a reservation.

After a moment of awkwardness the hostess asked if we had a reservation and we said "Yes at 6:00". We were then promptly seated. Our waitress was terrific, I forget her name but she had tattoos on her arms. Wonderful gal. The spicy sausage appetizer was the best part of the meal then it went to shit. The filet was a BEAUTIFUL piece of meat cooked to an absolutely prefect medium rare. However there was no flavor. Believe me when I say it must've had four grains of salt and that was it. No pepper no fucken nothin. Some poor Mignon cow lost his life for this bullshit. Like it was just a piece of meat with no seasoning. I almost asked for some A-1 just to choke it down. The mashed potatoes or excuse me "potato fucken purée" was average at best. Wife found her Salmon to be mid. For dessert we took the chocolate cake thing, and the strawberry cheesecake to go. The chocolate cake was like a 7/10 and the cheesecake was just like three separate piles of fuckery. Like the ingredients were just piled in the box waiting for assembly. It was the weirdest shit I've ever seen in my life. I should've taken a picture of it. Oh yeah the asshole piña colada wasn't blended it was just on the rocks with a nice paper fucken straw to slowly add some smoked wood flavor to my adult beverage. For $200 (plus tip mind you) this meal should've knocked my fucken socks off. Good lord this place needs some SERIOUS help. I can tell that the cooks know what they're doing but fuck man season the damn food. So in closing 1)season the food 2)ditch the paper straws 3)and blend the fucken drinks Oh I forgot to mention "ambiance". Think of a double wide from the 1970s with the floor vent collecting food crumbs under me then blowing air up my skirt. It was a nice touch.

The Hot Chicken Sliders were flavorful and paired so well with the special sauce. The Mac N Cheese was decent. The Strawberry Lemonade was absolutely refreshing. The inside of the restaurant was clean. There were a good number of tables and chairs available for customers, indoors and outdoors. Nash + Tender Lodi makes solid chicken slider sandwiches. I ordered a #3 combo and a side of ranch for $17.50 before tip and tax. It came with a large slider, another chicken breast on toast, a large serving of crinckle cut fries, and a drink. It was a lot of food and I had leftovers, so I was happy with the size of the portions. The slider had a big, thick, piece of fried chicken breast on it. It was a little spicey, topped with pickles, sauce, cole slaw and served on a nice brioche bun. It was one of the better chicken sandwiches I've had in a while and very satisfying. The chicken breast on toast, was silimar and just as satisfying. The fries were hot, chispy, and lightly seasoned. I enjoyed every one as I dunked them in sauce and munched them down. The staff was nice, and prepared my food quickly. The dining room was basic, but functional, and the drinks were self-serve. I'm happy to give them 5 stars. The food was really good.
