We decided to try this place after walking around downtown trying to kill time. I'm so glad we did. It was a Sunday around 2pm and it was a little busy but we were still greeted right away and sat down outside as we requested. There is parking all around but since it is downtown it does get busy where you might have to walk but nothing too crazy. The restaurant is nice and clean and looks very elegant. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. We ended up ordering the wings, and the short rib fried tacos. And after seeing a few customers having this drink we decided to order a coffee martini. Well the wings were absolutely delicious and crispy just like I like them. I was a little confused about the tacos when I took a bite and they were practically frozen but all the toppings were on them. I waited for a server to walk by and asked him if they were supposed to be like that and he said no so he took them back to the kitchen. The waitress did come by and I told her that I had just sent them back and she was also confused since she's the one that recommended them to us. She did apologize and told us they were making them. We got our espresso martini and it was so delicious. We were a little hesitant because we have had a bad one in the past at another restaurant but this one did not disappoint. Our tacos finally and back out and this time they were so hot and crunchy and so delicious. I was a little disappointed that we had to wait longer to get them that we almost just cancelled them because we had to go. But I'm glad we were patient. But honestly I do think maybe a discount should have been given or something just to make it right. But either way we will be back to try other stuff on the menu.

Hey there Party People Recently had lunch at The Market Tavern with family. It had a really good vibe with dark wood giving it a vintage feel. Great outside cafe style seating as well. We had multiple drinks and meals. Everything was very good. The Wine Spritz was elegant with a beautiful flower adding a touch of classs. We had a Michelada de Mexico which was a meal in itself The meals ranged from Carnitas Chilaquiles to Quinoa Salad. Everything was tasty and delightful. Lots or varied options for everyone in the party. A big peeve of mine is having an empty water it tea glass. The wait staff was on it which I loved never had an empty glass. This place had the whole package...good food, drinks, and service. Be kind to one another

Very happy there is now a Market Tavern in Lodi. The food and service are consistently good and it's a great place to meet up with a group of friends. I had brunch for the first time on my most recent visit and enjoyed both the food and service. I do wish they had a slightly larger menu selection. Also to note, if you come with a stroller they may ask you to park it in the front of the restaurant.

I've been to the Stockton location before, so I was happy to finally get a reservation. Our server was amazing, very attentive. Our food and drinks came out quickly for a busy Saturday evening. Standout: the braised short ribs. The meat was so tender, and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. Dessert: the cheesecake was a great choice, not too sweet, the guava sauce complimented it really well. This is a great place for a date night.

From the minute I walked in the staff was so friendly and so helpful. I accidentally made reservations for the wrong day, but the host Haley accommodated to my friends and I and we were still able to eat and enjoy our evening there! We ordered a few drinks and they were delicious and the food was TOP TIER! 10/10 so good! Thank you for this amazing experience :)

We decided to try the new market tavern in Lodi. We had a reservation and were seated outside. The cars on the road were loud and it was not always pleasant. There was a man standing across the street playing music and that was rather nice when I could hear him. Service was spotty. Had to wait awhile for food, water, after dinner drinks, and dessert. My husband enjoyed his dinner. My chicken Parmesan was okay. It did not taste like freshly breaded but more like pre frozen entree. I would not order it again. We were there for quite awhile. We saw friends go in after us and leave before us due to our slow service. I almost felt like they forgot about us outside. I love market tavern in Stockton and have always had great service and food there. Maybe this was just an off night. I will definitely come back and give them a chance to improve this so-so Yelp rating. I will definitely request to be seated inside!

Very tasty food. Nice ambience & great service by Jose. Old fashioned was very watered down and the fruit crisp dessert was delicious, but lacked any "crisp." Note my photo ... not the best green beans (90% were the palest green) considering we are in sunny California in May.

We made reservations and highly recommend it. This location gets busy early. Our server was very attentive. The chocolate martini was devine. The table order consisted of a burger, soup, pasta and it was all tasty. The soup wasn't on the sweeter side. The burgers were thick and the bacon even thicker. The ambiance was loud and busy but with elegance.

Great food! Great drinks! Similar vibe to the market tavern in Stockton. It has the similar menu. I'd recommend the apps! The the cornbread, something I always get is fire af, best app to get. I'd get the herbivore drink! Nice light and crisp. Surprisingly enough the tacos were good. Friendly quick service! I'd come again

It is located in downtown Lodi on their main street. With that said, there's very limited parking on that street so I would recommend parking behind the bank instead of driving around in circles. We made reservations and were sat at the bar area. It was pretty packed so they begin their timing as soon as we sit, I presume. We started with our drink orders which are very reasonably priced for a nice restaurant. Kudos! We ordered a wedge salad and a pepperoni pizza as an appetizer. It was very shareable for four people. I ordered a chicken Marsala. I typically go for the Sausage Rigatoni because that's my favorite from the Stockton location, but I wanted to try something different. For me, the Chicken Marsala was way too salty. The chicken was bone in and fried which I did not expect. The desserts were good. You can't go wrong with any of them. If you see my pictures, we ordered one of everything. If I would choose a favorite, it would be Pear pie à la mode. Something about the warm pie with the crunch and a bit of cold, goes perfectly. The service was good. I will say we got booted out rather quickly. So keep that in mind.

I really enjoy Market Tavern in Stockton so I was very excited to try this location. Came here for an evening out for a dinner with my mom and some lady friends. We had a reservation for 4. The table we were placed at was incredibly small and we had no room for our food. I even tipped over one of my dressings due to the lack of space. When going to use the restrooms, it appears that one of the toilets needs to be repaired. I informed one of the waiters and they said knowingly that there are challenges with that restroom. I feel that if their bathrooms need maintenance, they should close that stall and work on the repairs rather than leave it available for customers to use. Pretty odd... Salad was good but overpriced for what it was. Halibut lacked flavor and was quite bland. Service was not particularly hospitable or warm. I felt our waitress was a bit annoyed that I tipped over my dressing ... I asked for paper napkins to clean it...

Love that one of my favorite restaurants has come to Lodi. If you want to dine in, bear in mind there may be a wait. It was packed on Thursday night. We were told 45-60 minutes, and were pleasantly surprised when it wasn't even 10 minutes for a party of 4. The previous venue closed during Covid, and we love how Market Tavern has renovated. We didn't get a chance to go to the "Market" side, but I'm sure I'll be patronizing soon. It's pretty loud in there when you first walk in, but we didn't notice this at the booth we were seated at. As far as the food, it was on par with the Stockton location. We ordered our favorites. The griddled cornbread and deviled eggs are a must try if you haven't. I ordered my quinoa salad with salmon, and hubby got his chicken Parmesan great as always. I got to try a bite of the crispy duck, and it was delicious. Our server was awesome and very accommodating. Can't wait to come back for our other favorites. We will definitely be back soon!

We ordered the grilled artichoke..the char grilled taste was great and the dip was delicious! We shared the salad special today, which was a pear salad that came with raspberry and blue cheese. Everything went well together it was refreshing. And for our entree we shared the mushroom ravioli and the pork tenderloin medallions. The pork tenderloin medallions came with green beans and mash potatoes. Everything was chefs kiss! I genuinely love this restaurant, which makes my last few visits especially disappointing…read more On my most recent visit, I ordered the beef brochette--Angus steak chunks served with pasta and mixed vegetables. The food itself was very flavorful, so taste was not the issue. Unfortunately, the temperature was. The steak was barely warm, and both sides were completely cold. My dining companion and I were starving and on a limited schedule, so we did not want to spend additional time trying to flag someone down and waiting for the food to be reheated. Instead, we waited--and waited--for our server to return so we could ask for boxes. We ultimately took the food home to reheat and eat later, which is obviously not the experience you expect when dining at a restaurant. That brings me to the service, which has also declined over my last several visits. Our server never checked in after the food was delivered. Had she stopped by shortly after we began eating, we could have addressed the temperature issue and possibly had enough time to enjoy the meal properly. Instead, she was nowhere to be found until the end. I am not sure whether the food is sitting too long before being picked up or if the kitchen is not monitoring temperatures properly, but something needs to be corrected. Servers should also check on their tables at least once during the meal--not only return at the end when it is time to bring the check and collect a tip. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously because I know this restaurant is capable of providing a much better experience.

With how expensive dining out is these days, it seemed like a great deal. The restaurant itself is very small, with just a few tables and booths, and it's located in a small strip of businesses with street parking nearby. We were served bread and butter while waiting, and the food came out quickly. The $20 special included a salad, chicken scallopini, and molten lava cake for dessert. The salad was actually the highlight--simple mixed greens with blue cheese crumbles and balsamic vinaigrette, but fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, the entrée was a big disappointment. The chicken scallopini was very bland. The lemon white wine sauce helped a little, but not enough to save it. The mashed potatoes tasted like runny boxed potatoes, and the peas and carrots seemed like they came straight from a can. Dessert didn't redeem the meal either. The "molten" lava cake was underwhelming and nothing special. There was also a moment during dinner when a waiter accidentally bumped into my back while walking by. Accidents happen--I completely understand that. What bothered me was that he didn't acknowledge it right away or apologize until I turned around to see who had just smacked my back, and only then did he give a quick "oops, sorry." Maybe their regular menu dishes are fantastic and they cut corners for the $20 special--I don't know. But based on this overall experience, I don't really understand the high reviews, and I won't be back to find out.

It's contemporary and the furnishings are quite comfortable. It's the type of place you can settle in and have a casual meal without feeling rushed. Prices are high yet the quality is excellent. For the first evening at the bar we settled into a high top table. You can sit at the bar, lounge type seating or outdoors on a pleasantly shaded patio. They had an expanded bar bites menu as the main restaurant is closed on Wednesdays... most of it quite enticing. We opted for cocktails to start and I chose a specialty Date Maple Old Fashioned. It was really good with a large ice ball to chill it. For bar bites we shared the pork belly sandwiches (small, delicious but messy to eat), the sausage skewers (amazing!) and crab cups (refreshingly light and easy to eat). After cocktails we had glasses of a light white wine, made with Santorini Greek grapes. For the next meal in the dining room the place was a buzz with activity but conversation was easy without a lot of excessive noise. It's intimate and the room is quite pleasant for a gourmet meal. We started with cocktails (same Old Fashioned) and shared the grilled Brussels Sprouts which were plentiful and ever so delicious. They were slightly over grilled for my taste yet it didn't distract from me enjoying them. We got bread which was a baguette with butter and the consistency perfect for a French style loaf. For my entree I debated between the scallops and the pork chop and went with the chop. I was quite pleased as the chop came in thick slices and drizzled with a tarragon mustard reduction sauce. It was amazing, tender, juicy and at 22oz I couldn't finish it all. It came with a tasty apple sauce and grilled seared cabbage. Absolutely delicious. Ed, celebrating a birthday, had steak which came with a huge bowl of mashed potatoes which I tasted. Oh my gosh, the creamiest potatoes ever! For dessert we shared the cheese plate, a really great way to end the meal, with glasses of a twany port. All of the cheeses from a brie to a hard cheese were top quality. Service both times was very attentive, professional yet personable. We were well cared for and everything went smoothly. It's expensive yet the experience and value is worth visiting. After a moment of awkwardness the hostess asked if we had a reservation and we said "Yes at 6:00". We were then promptly seated. Our waitress was terrific, I forget her name but she had tattoos on her arms. Wonderful gal. The spicy sausage appetizer was the best part of the meal then it went to shit. The filet was a BEAUTIFUL piece of meat cooked to an absolutely prefect medium rare. However there was no flavor. Believe me when I say it must've had four grains of salt and that was it. No pepper no fucken nothin. Some poor Mignon cow lost his life for this bullshit. Like it was just a piece of meat with no seasoning. I almost asked for some A-1 just to choke it down. The mashed potatoes or excuse me "potato fucken purée" was average at best. Wife found her Salmon to be mid. For dessert we took the chocolate cake thing, and the strawberry cheesecake to go. The chocolate cake was like a 7/10 and the cheesecake was just like three separate piles of fuckery. Like the ingredients were just piled in the box waiting for assembly. It was the weirdest shit I've ever seen in my life. I should've taken a picture of it. Oh yeah the asshole piña colada wasn't blended it was just on the rocks with a nice paper fucken straw to slowly add some smoked wood flavor to my adult beverage. For $200 (plus tip mind you) this meal should've knocked my fucken socks off. Good lord this place needs some SERIOUS help. I can tell that the cooks know what they're doing but fuck man season the damn food. So in closing 1)season the food 2)ditch the paper straws 3)and blend the fucken drinks Oh I forgot to mention "ambiance". Think of a double wide from the 1970s with the floor vent collecting food crumbs under me then blowing air up my skirt. It was a nice touch.

The music was not loud nor annoying. The lighting takes you away from reality, it give a sense of being in a totally different city even country. It was such a romantic dinner. There were several couples enjoying the moment and the food. Menu/Food: The menu had plenty of options, in my opinion a bit hard to make up my mind. We had a difficult time choosing since everything seemed like a great option. Drinks: they have alcoholic drinks and for people who do not consume alcohol, they also have mocktails which were delicious. We order two mocktails and they were refreshing and felt fancy. Staff: welcome and always ready to help and assist when needed.

Interior was cleanly decorated and restaurant is split between bar area and main dining area. Ordered the bread board, kids chicken tenders, cup of clam chowder, prime rib with mashed potatoe side, bread pudding and chocolate mousse. Execution on all the dishes was very good. Impressed with the size of the kids tenders, wife enjoyed the clam chowder, prime rib was cooked to order and came with a nice grilled garlic surprise. Mashed potatoes were very creamy and swimming in butter. Desserts were tasty. Would certainly swing by again.

We were greeted and seated promptly after arriving. The restaurant is decorated in vintage paintings and furniture, a large brick oven for pizzas and a cute outdoor patio with additional seating. Our server was very attentive, ensured our drinks were topped off and we were satisfied with our orders. We ordered a pizza, wings & mozzarella sticks as starters. I ordered the Tri Tip Green Chili Melt which was really good, others in the group ordered, wings, fish & chips, chicken caprese sandwich & the French Dip. All of our food & drink were delicious & our service was top notch. We enjoyed our dining experience at Dancing Fox and plan to dine here again in the future.

We got the foccicia bread basket as an appetizer and it was really good, herb, olive oil, soft bread like a sponge. The chicken pot pie was excellent, full of flavor, great crust and good filling. I got the French dip, it was probably one of the best I had in a while. The au jus was the best part, thick, flavorful along with a strong creamy horseradish. Service............. Not so much. For a big place that was maybe 40% occupied, it was soooooooooooooooooo slow. One server from what I see, 2 bussers, and 5 others standing around chatting. Took a good 30 mins to get seated (there was tables available), though we got to go to their tasting room, and got a bottle of wine; another 20 mins to get the server's attention after getting seated and probably another 40 for the food to come. That was probably the most irritating.

It was our first time visiting from the Bay Area, and it was truly a memorable experience. We ordered the chicken wings and calamari, plus two drinks. Our bartender recommended the Freak Show Cabernet, and it was delicious. I appreciated how attentive the team was: when I accidentally knocked over my drink, the staff quickly and graciously helped clean up, along with a few flowers I bumped in the process. I apologize for the clumsiness on my part. The chef also came out to greet us, which was a wonderful personal touch. Overall, we had an incredible time. If you're looking for great food and warm hospitality, I highly recommend The Exchange. I'll definitely be telling everyone on social media to stop by for a wonderful experience.

We sat inside, where the space features exposed brick, artwork throughout, and very comfortable seating... my partner specifically pointed that out. The layout includes a mix of seating areas, which gives it a more relaxed, layered feel. The bar area, known as the Ghost Lounge, adds a darker, more lounge-like element to the overall atmosphere. Service was excellent. Our server, Lacy, was friendly, attentive, and witty - easily one of the best servers we've had in a while. For drinks, I had a local Oak Farm red wine that was excellent. Others in our group had mimosas, which were well received... especially the grapefruit mimosa, which my partner really enjoyed. For food, there were several highlights. My partner had the chicken and waffles and loved it; I tried some and would agree it was very good. Another person in our group ordered the steak breakfast tacos, which came as a set of three. They only ate two, and I had the third and it was delicious and something I would recommend. Another in our group had the eggs Benedict and thought it was excellent. I had the biscuits and gravy with fried eggs. It was okay, but not something I would go out of my way to order again. In terms of value, prices felt consistent with the quality of the food, service, and overall setting. It's not a budget brunch spot, but it feels appropriate for the experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable Easter brunch with great service, a comfortable and well-designed interior, and several strong menu items. I'd rate it a 4 out of 5, though if half-points were an option, this would land closer to a 4.5. We'd definitely come back.

I was informed that it was Taco Tuesday, so I was excited to take advantage of the offering. The food was so undeniably palatable, my taste buds were going through the roof. Every bite was pleasantly satisfying. The mimosa also complemented the entire meal well. The entire atmosphere had such a cozy, rustic feel. The service was slightly underwhelming. Though it was kind, the attentiveness missed the mark. The price point of the food was fairly reasonable. Overall, the dining experience was lovely because the food was dynamite. The service needs some improvement; however, I'd absolutely return.
