It was quite warm and swampy outside though, and unfortunately, there were several mosquitoes making a meal out of us as well. Market Tavern has battery operated flyswatters that you can put on the table, but most of them were not charged so we couldn't really use them. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful though. Bathrooms were clean as well; actually kind of like the single bathrooms as they do have a few and give you more privacy. In terms of menu items, about 95% of the menu items are the same as Stockton's. I tried the Hamachi Crudo, which was refreshing and I also tried the roasted brussels sprouts. The duck confit was probably my favorite as it was so crispy. Although it sat on a bed of sweet sauce, I think it balance as well with the saltiness of the duck. I had a sparkling rosé locally from Lodi, which was refreshing and not stale/metallic. My friend got the salmon which she said was good too. I think overall, the big appeal for us was the fantastic service. At the end of our meal, our server generously gave both me and my friend little baggies of blueberry oatmeal cookies that we tried later. They were so fresh and delicious and soft. The staff here at market Tavern really made sure we got such great care and attention and treated us so well. My fur boys and I would be happy to return for that same experience. :)

They offer some special and seasonal items, but I've mostly enjoyed their wood-fired pizzas, espcially the Prosciutto and Arugula. I've also enjoyed their braised short ribs, skirt steak, and buttermilk chicken sandwich. For brunch, I usually get the Short Rib Poutine and house-made doughnuts, but I noticed the poutine was no longer on the menu during my most recent visit. Their furikake fries and deviled eggs are also good. Overall, a decent restaurant for brunch, lunch, and dinner.

It was really good with a large ice ball to chill it. For bar bites we shared the pork belly sandwiches (small, delicious but messy to eat), the sausage skewers (amazing!) and crab cups (refreshingly light and easy to eat). After cocktails we had glasses of a light white wine, made with Santorini Greek grapes. For the next meal in the dining room the place was a buzz with activity but conversation was easy without a lot of excessive noise. It's intimate and the room is quite pleasant for a gourmet meal. For my entree I debated between the scallops and the pork chop and went with the chop. I was quite pleased as the chop came in thick slices and drizzled with a tarragon mustard reduction sauce. It was amazing, tender, juicy and at 22oz I couldn't finish it all. It came with a tasty apple sauce and grilled seared cabbage. Absolutely delicious. Ed, celebrating a birthday, had steak which came with a huge bowl of mashed potatoes which I tasted. Oh my gosh, the creamiest potatoes ever! Americana House is located right near the check in lobby at the resort. The food was really good when we came here. They've got a unique selection of a few items, including a crab omelette which we tried, it was very good. We also tried the shakshuka too, really tasty stuff. You put that on the soft fresh bread and it tastes like so good together. Service was good when we came, as well as the ambiance there in the morning for breakfast, eating outdoors when the weather is nice is always a mood setter for the day on the weekend or vacation. Would eat here again when staying at Appellation again for sure.
