NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. food is ok. If you have kids under 8 I would avoid this place. Owner is the older, bald, white man. He does not appreciate his rocks being touched And will not give you a chance to correct your kid he will just kick you out. our kid got rocks on the cement and he brought out a leaf blower and kicked up dust while we were eating and drinking. He approached us cussing in front of our kids and about our child. we stated we corrected them and he did not care he said other kids would see ours "running Around" and apparently incite a toddler riot. I asked him to not swear In front of my kids he put his hand up as if to say stop talking. It's not truly a family friendly environment for anyone with kids Who cannot sit, stay and be quiet. seems dog friendly though. be weary if you decide to bring kids. read more

Our group came in between winery reservations (the gentlemen in the group needed beer! ) and it was great for a quick break! They had something for everyone's taste, including two stouts (the Mocha Penguin was my favorite!) Loved the fact that there is a restaurant connected to the property, and may utilize this business in part of my Post-Christmas wine tasting for next year! I've been here a few times and have liked the casual vibe. Their staff is attentive and knowledgeable about their beer. Sometimes they have music playing at their side yard which is nice to unwind to. They have a few games folks can play when sitting around outside. Staff was friendly, engaging and funny! The beer was tasty. We were enjoying our time and excited to find a new spot in Lodi. All was great until the owner walked in.. He was rude demeaning to his two bartenders working hard and having fun, and sucked every bit of energy out of that room.. I was embarrassed for the staff. And then watched him blow off customers trying to talk to him and snapped somebody child.. I will never frequent this Establishment again. We have been going to Idol since it opened a few years ago. It was great at first and since then we have watched it steadily go downhill. On a visit a few weeks ago, the beer was warm and smelled funny. Today, we arrived at 6:35 and ordered sandwiches from Squeeze Burger, which shares the location. By the time the food arrived, staff was already stacking chairs and cleaning up, making clear they wanted us to leave. By 5 minutes after 7 (their closing time) they were mopping the floor around our table. We took our food and left. The beers are overpriced and have twice been served at around room temperature. I don't expect the business to last much longer. read more

This place is definitely worth the stop. Came by on a day they had a "vinyl" event selling records of all types. Casual place and plenty of outdoor seating. A lot of different types of beer to choose from. The service is good, and they come around to the tables to pick up used service items and see if anything else is needed (more beer) lol. Fun craft brewery in Lodi - has a good variety of beers (and a Kombucha). Had the golden ale and a kolsch and both were good. Seating is all outdoors/covered outdoors but they have some misters by the entrance so even on a warm day it feels pretty pleasant. A couple TVs had sports on and a food truck was outside. I've been to this place a few times, and let me tell you that this place does not disappoint!!!! They give great service, have great beer, and the atmosphere is great too. The last time I went, they have drive thru which was really nice. I bought a few different beers, and they stayed surprisingly really cold even when I got to Elk Grove. I liked their hazy IPA's (Idolicious & Doublicious). I also really enjoyed their Blueberry beer as well! I recommend this place and I'll definitely go again! read more

Attended the "Halloween Fest" and tbh it wasn't worth it. I think if you're into punk or metal? It was probably great as there were a lot of different bands. I went expecting to see different vendors but by 6 there were the last few vendors packing up and no ticket was needed. I went on a whim as I have been to other Lodi Halloween festivities besides this one. The service from the females were very polite and friendly. They seemed to be in a great mood and happy to help. The male bartender came off as arrogant and standoffish. I needed some guidance as I'm not a beer drinker and thought he could help me but I guess you're supposed to know what they have. They didn't serve flights at the fest and his micheladas were awful. If you're wanting to attend the festival and see vendors I recommend going earlier around noon is my guess. Might give them another opportunity as everyone can have an off day but with all the competition in Lodi I couldn't say it'd be anytime soon. read more

They usually have several above average brews. Favorites would be the Bruce, the Double Image the Smutty Fraulein and the Training Wheels. When in season the Hefe and Lemon Basil Kombucha are tasty. The day finally come!!! I am so excited to be writing this review. We met Grant and Angela (the owners) back when they had Flight Lounge in Woodbridge and quickly knew that these were awesome people. So we were very excited when Grant shared his plans to open his own brewery in Downtown Lodi. We knew his love of beer was much like our own so when he decided to have a "Founding Members" club I just knew that we needed to get in on that. We attended a founding members party and wrote a check what seemed like forever ago thanks to the roadblocks they encountered along the way. But Grant kept pushing forward and was determined to make it happen. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when we were all invited to the Founding Members party and the anticipation was finally over. The party was a great time and the 3 beers we had to sample were excellent... Training Wheels, Smutty Fraulien and the AMAZING Image IPA. The first two aren't my style but they are still well done beers. At the party Grant gave us a sample of the un-carbonated Double Image IPA and I instantly fell in love... if it was that good un-carbonated I knew it was going to be amazing when it was. A week later at the "soft opening" it was ready and wow-o-wow was it delicious! It is just a well done and well balanced Double IPA, I mean seriously, you can't not like it. And thats coming from a Porter/Stout lover. The place is awesome in itself, there is more than enough room for many people from all the tables inside, to the tables on the side and the long community style tables in the front. Love being here on beautiful nights with all the doors open or outside under the canopies. This is just a great place to be. There will also been food trucks regularly so you can stay and drink more beers. And from what I understand you are more than welcome to bring food as well. There are games for the kids and plenty of water bowls for the dogs so the whole family is welcome. I can't wait for more beers to be available and all the fun that is yet to come. CHEERS! read more

Bald white older male terribly rude on our outing to SQZ burger next door with a group of 5 kids (ages 8,7,7,7,3). Saw a ton of other kids running around playing with their games outside right before the Christmas light parade so we ordered burgers+beers and sat outside while letting our kids play too. This guy ran outside and screamed at our kids to get off of the mechanical toy car outside as one of them slightly got on the front hood then proceeded to mouth "god damn" as he shook his head and walked away. I followed him and kindly asked him not to mouth off and curse at others' kids as he saw us adults right there and to tell me next time - I told the kids to continue playing and do not get on the hood like that again and he said "you know what", ran and made them get off and away from the car and pulled it inside and rolled down the metal gate, ON KIDS! Mind you our kids put a ton of quarters in it and it didn't even work because he had it unplugged. Put the damn toys inside and do not advertise as being kid friendly next to a burger joint. Disgusting behavior, idk maybe because we're not the same skin tone. Couldn't imagine why else someone would feel so comfortable being such an a*shole. I am excited that my hometown is finally stepping up and adding some craft breweries. Lodi Beer Co is fine, but has never been a great place for beer. I wanted to like Idol so bad... but it fell short. The spot is great. A wonderful repurposing if an old building in a rundown area. The inside was comfortable and inviting. The brewery dog - Boo - was great. Friendly and loving. He just walked from group to group getting attention. The problem was with the beer. I had two barrel-aged beers. One was weak tasting and had extremely little bourbon taste. Seemed more than a flat beer, but it wasn't served in nitro so it shouldn't have been. The other beer was better, but definitely either needed longer in the barrel or the barrels were so old there was not much flavor left to impart on the beer. The service was mixed. The young man cleaning up the area was very friendly and stopped to chat with me about the brewery and the dog. The guy pouring beers seems very bothered by my being there. It's not that he was rude, but just indifferent, which is not a welcoming approach. Finally, and maybe this just bothers me, but please do t serve me a taster of beer in a paper Dixie cup. Who does that? Yes, Icon does. It is just weird and looks janky. I will come back and hope the beer gets better because this place has great potential, but I can't say that it is any better than Lodi Beer Co at this time. read more

The venue is nice, open full of light and fresh air. It's clean inside. They offer a variety of craft beers on tap and light snacks ($1 peanuts and $8 beef jerky). There is street parking and a private lot for parking available. I personally liked the Blueberry Hefeweizen beer out of out flight selection. The other beers were hoppy and bitter which some people like but it wasn't for me. This location is also located 1 block away from School street which is where Lodi holds a farmers market on Thursday evenings. So a must try grab a beer or a few and head to School street to check out the neighborhood. read more
