    Massive beer list!
    Chadrick J.

If you like beer Taps Barrel House is the place to go. Taps features a seriously massive list of local brews and a few others that is nothing to scoff at. Dark beers, Stouts, IPA's and so many choices it'll make your head spin. Very enjoyable spot to relax and enjoy a beer or two. I'll keep this review pretty simple because this place is basically just that, a place to come and enjoy a brew. Between the solid selection and cozy atmosphere, this place is on point. Taps, a Stockton gem...

It would've been a four star but each time I come in the service is not great. for example one of my visits, I was thinking out loud which # I would pick and one of the gals who was working was like ewww that one is gross I don't think it.!!!! I didn't think that was professional at all. I only come back because I really like the HighWater Beers, they usually have over 10 beers on tap.

Beer for days! Was visiting in town on Saturday afternoon, and it was not pack at all. A section of the place is a bar, as the other side is known for dining in and live music. Hung out at the bar side, found a jumbo jenga, also a cabinet full of other games. + 28 beers on tap + price and alcohol content listed on the wall + Service was attentive + spotted regulars at the bar + parking in rear or street Because I'm a whiskey drinker, I ordered Whiskey thief (Scotch Ale) . The taste was good, scotch flavor was there, one drink was enough.

Excellent selection of beer and good atmosphere. Connected to Whirlow's if you want something to eat. I got a pint of Sudwerk's 3 Best Friends beer, which has a vanilla coffee flavor.

So I'm giving this place 4 stars. so i took the GF out to check some sights in Stockton. This was our first stop, as we walked in we noticed a very nice and large variety of beer selections on the wall. I ordered a blonde to start off and then I got a "flight" and picked four. All the beers I picked(see photo) were very good. The guys behind the bar were very cool and helpful, I really enjoyed this place. If you want food you have to go next door and order food to bring into the bar. Basically next door is a restaurant with a live band and that's also where you order wine if you want some. We really enjoyed this bar. It's in a very nice section of Stockton that was very pleasant to walk around in. If you are looking for a nice place in Stockton to enjoy a few new styles of beers then this is the place for you. I would totally retry the cucumber kolsch. Amazing beer that pairs with just about everything.

What a cool bar! Came here last week with a couple of friends and loved my experience here. One of my friends told me that there is other bars named Taps that are a chain, but I do believe that this location is unique, as in this is one of a kind. This bar/restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and a modern/hipster interior, and I loved the fact that it was so clean. We ordered two samplers, which are very reasonably priced at a flight of four beers for $8, and the beers were great! I believe the drinks change pretty frequently, but some of my favorites were the High Water Nitro-campfire stout, the Rogue Hazelnut, and the Mraz Lemon Drop. If you are a bourbon fan, there was one we had from Anderson Valley that was very good as well. Whirlow's is right next door, and it was great that we could order food and have it brought to our table. We were also able to listen to the live music next door, but it did get a little loud at one point. Nevertheless, I am definitely coming back!

Since I only drink "whalez bro" the tap selection was just ok. I'm use to going to places with rare limited beers, but I guess this is good just for Stockton. I'd rather go to a place with 5 taps of delicious rare beer than go to a place with 28 taps of mediocre beer. I'll keep checking in to see how the rotation goes. The decor is lacking and I felt like I was at a cheap cafe than a pub/taproom. The lighting was way too bright and needed to be toned down a bit. The furniture seems like the same stuff next door at Whirlows, but it's been awhile since I've been in there, so I could be wrong. It just doesn't feel right sipping and dissecting my beer in there. Tip for Taps Barrel House: Get some #whalezbro Tip for Yelp: GEAD

I was in town with my girlfriend and decided to stop by....... I have been to multiple breweries in San Leandro, Oakland, and Alameda. BY FAR this place tops the rest off! Our host Taylor was amazing and we'll experienced! She had the best recommendations and was extremely kind and welcoming. They have a HUGE SELECTION of very amazing craft beer! This place is a very cozy, comfortable establishment! Truly amazing to say the least. Normal beer will never be the same again....... Do yourself this once in a life favor, and try this place!

It's hard to believe we have so many selections right here in Stockton. This place has the best beer on tap in town. I was very impressed with the knowledge of the bartenders and the variety of beers. It's connected to Whirlow's so so you can get food as well. I hope they get a few sour ales on tap:-) Thank you for opening in town!!!

This is my first time to here. I like the #1. Also $8 you can try 4 small 4oz glass sample beer good deal.

$8 flights and a long list of beers on tap!

Do they allow children to come in and dine?

I have seen kids in there, but some of the customers will growl at them, so it's safest to keep the kids at Whirlows. ;-)

    Are they expensive?

Prices range from $5 to $8 depending on the type of brew

Who do I contact about booking bands? Is there an email address where I can send my band's EPK?

The sandwich was thick with the juiciest chicken. I loved the garlic fries. They were super garlicky with a crispy cheese on top. The fries are thin and crinkle cut. They were the perfect mix of crispy yet juicy. One thing to note, if you order for pickup, make sure to arrive promptly because the food can get pretty soggy otherwise. The side sauce was pretty good too. I wish there was an online substitution option though because I'd prefer something like ranch instead. This spot's prices are a touch higher compared to restaurants in the area but the quality and portions really justify it. The employees are incredibly kind. When I stopped by to pickup my order, there was an employee cleaning the outside patio who immediately stopped what she was doing to open the door for me, went inside and washed her hands before even handing me the bag. The small details like this really make the experience so much better. It is especially reassuring to see how sanitary they are here too. Despite looking a bit small from the outside, it it quite spacious and modern inside. It has that modern hipster restaurant feel. On a warm day, it would be nice to sit under their covered patio. I will be returning to try more of their menu!

Security will comstantly hit on your drunk friends and no one stops them, this is even when the women are clearly not interested. It is extremely uncomfortable. The music is awful, you have to make the best of it. But after going there for a couple months the music is simply catered to a white and latin crowd. I do not hear anything current or relevant when I am there. Me and my gf usually go there because its close and thats it. We are usually the only ones that truly dance and are the reason alot of folks said they enjoyed their time (even though they agree the music and atmosphere sucks- it looks like NY ). We have never got offered free drinks or anything complimentary for attracting a crowd or bringing friends. Everywhere else, this is usual when attracting customers for a bar. Too much staff... It is not POC friendly. I have heard almost everyone I know complain about the demographics and the bad music. I also see alot of DL men hovering by the bar in bulk so I am guessing it may be catered to them they tend to by the most drinks. I have had many friends there make the same statement. Overall, just leave this one alone and go to Islanders. More POC, more diversity in staff, no awkward fake moments with the Owner (who is as uptight as they come), and more fun people. You will likely leave aftera couple drinks.... Thats what they want. They scam and play a couple fo songs so you buy buy buy and leave without dancing or if you do its to 50 cent and Lil John like you in 8th grade Bad business.... Trust me. I dance all the time. I try to be nice to the DJs because I can't tell if their fault or the owners either way. I won't go unless I am desperate. Unfortunately, this business doesn't keep up with the times.
