Mother's Day dinner was a pure shit show with this place. We knew it'd be busy so we ordered "to go" from the app. First issue: the app does not take orders over $125. We're a big family so I ended up splitting it into 3 orders. Second issue: because I split the order, an item 3 members wanted kept going out of stock. The prime rib 16oz then the 14oz then the 12oz (only 2 of the 3 went thru on the order). Third issue: I went a few minutes just before the "scheduled" pickup time to pay the orders (app only took Apple Pay, giftcard, or pay at pickup). At this point I haven't gotten a call or text about my order. It's my turn up to the counter ("to go" pickup is outside) and ask about any possible available prime rib and she says they're out. I figure ok at least we got the 2 for the to-go order. I informed her that I have 3 to-go orders from the app. She goes to check on the orders and returns to inform me that they are COMPLETELY out of prime rib and had cancelled them from one of the orders. So basically 2 family members weren't getting dinner. ME being one of them. On mf MOTHER'S DAY! I kept my cool and proceeded to order dinner replacements. At this point we were 20min past the "scheduled" pickup time of 7:45pm and the orders still weren't ready. I asked the gal if I had ordered in the morning for pickup for dinner, would that have guaranteed the prime rib? She flat out said "Nope. We run out whenever we run out." Basically the app does not match up to their inventory and they don't hold anything for online/app orders. It's all first-come-first-served regardless of when you order. In other words the app is useless. Fourth issue: It seemed we had finally gotten the orders straight. All combined orders totaled over $300. I asked if I could get a discount since they cancelled part of my order without letting me know. They gave me my $12 appetizer free. I asked if I could get 10% off since the replacement dinners were more. About another $10 off. I thought whatever $22 off and still paid over $300 combined. Fifth issue: I asked how long for the order with the replacement steaks and she said should be quick about 20-30min. That seemed quick for how busy they were. So I waited. Not that I had a choice. 45 MINUTES LATER... Our food is finally ready and I'm still composed. I am at the counter and get the 3 huge bags. I start looking through them to try and make sure I have everything cause again it was multiple orders and I live 25-30min away. It was 9pm and so I'm trying to quickly go through the bags. Half the containers are soggy and cold. I think these might have been ready when I got there, but they're wanted me to wait until everything was ready. During the chaos the gal behind the counter asks me to move over cause they're backed up so she can help the next person. I tell her "I waited. They can wait." The lighting outside sucks. I can barely make out what's in each container. She again tells me to move to the side. I'm annoyed at this point and say "Ma'am I'll move when I'm ready." She calls over some shift mgr and tells her I won't move. That B of a mgr slams the window shut. At that point I was like F it. There's not enough room or light for me to check everything so I leave. Last issue: of course a bunch of sides are missing and some made incorrectly. By the time we tally up the damage the place was closed and no one is answering the phone. Cold, soggy food. Unhappy family. And a pissed off mom... on Mother's Day. I usually genuinely like Texas Roadhouse. Food is good. Service is ok, but yesterday they were crap through and through. It was really busy when we came, but overall still a good experience. This is one of my favorite spots, especially for the bread, it never misses. We started with the onion blossom, which was really good. I got the ribeye and fish with mashed potatoes and green beans, everything was delicious. My family ordered a bunch of stuff too, kids ribs and a couple steaks. The only thing was the steaks weren't cooked exactly how we asked, but it wasn't a huge issue. Stopped by for a belated Valentine's Day lunch the day after V-Day to avoid the crowds and long wait times. We joined the waitlist online, and when we arrived we were seated within 5 minutes! It was still super crowded though, and I overheard a server say the wait on Valentine's Day itself was 5 hours. So glad we decided to come the next day. My steak was cooked exactly as requested. Hubby's steak came out overcooked, but they promptly remade it for him. Also, they have Coke Zero, which was awesome because I love when a spot offers it. Overall we had a delicious Valentine's Day lunch. Our server was friendly, but she seemed pretty rushed and didn't check on us very often. The manager, however, was walking around making sure everyone had what they needed and even stopped by to chat with us. Decided to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse with the family. It was a Saturday around 4, it was busy, but not too bad. We were able to call about ten minutes before arrived and were put on the waitlist. As soon as we spoke to the hostess we were seated. Im sure if we would have went just an hour or two later our wait would have been much longer. As for the food. We all ordered steaks. Each steak was cooked just as we ordered and they were very tasty. Was it the best steak ever? No, but it was pretty darn good which is what one should expect at texas roadhouse. I haven't sat down to eat inside since I had a bad experience with a server for a while now but I love the food so much I just order for pick up online and at the window. I had a horrible experience at the Modesto location so I will not ever be going to that location ever again. Any time I'm in Tracy and Texas is open I will come by and get the bread. Tracy location is more generous and friendly at the order window so I want to share that they haven't lost me as a customer like Modesto did. They are still always busy and much more on the weekends. Even a weekday there are already people waiting for them to open. Parking is difficult for sure on the weekends so expect to wait or circle a few times during those days. Wait time on to go food sometimes takes a longer while on weekends too For a while (during the pandemic) the bread and butter had a different taste but I noticed it went back to tasting good again I would recommend everything on the menu but I usually get steak and salmon. I don't think there is a combo of my favs together but if there was I would definitely get it. The last time I ordered a meal was on a Thursday because i had an email reward type coupon for a free appetizer. The server seemed like a kid in high school however he was polite and attentive. Service was better than many more expensive restaurants that I have been too. We ordered the Catcus Blossom as a starter and it never disappoints. Bread arrived at the table when we sat and the waiters made sure we always had some which we really appreciated. I had the Chicken Critters & Ribs combo with chili and buttered corn. Hubs ordered the New York Strip with a Cesar salad and sweet potato. This was more than enough food to feed our family of three. My family and I usually go once a week to Texas Roadhouse and mostttt of the time their filet is not cooked properly at least when I say medium well it was well done and too dry and if I said medium it was not really medium either. There are thermometer type of things you stick in the meat that tells you how the meat is cooked so anyyy non skilled person can make steaks. Besides the way it was cooked the quality of meat has also changed. When I cut through it it honestly looked like chewed meat. I think environment is fine and usually service too but today was a total disappointment. I'd been craving the rolls from Texas Roadhouse for an eternity and spur of the moment, we decided to stop here for lunch on the way back from the SF Outlets. It was the Saturday before Christmas and I was surprised that we didn't have to wait long at all considering the place was pretty packed. It was as loud and raucous as I remembered but I was enjoying the vibe. It had been a very long time since my last visit and no more peanut shells on the floor but instead they provide you with a bag at each table and a bucket for shells. Jasmine, our waitress, explained the menu perfectly and made fantastic suggestions. Come hungry and you'll still get leftovers. I've been to Texas Roadhouse in Vegas but first time in Tracy. Went around 3pm and it was pretty busy, I think possibly due to it being Christmas Week. I went with the Country Fried Sirloin Dinner. Kristin asked if I wanted the brown gravy or the white gravy. I couldn't decide, so she said we could do both. I ended up liking both of them! For the sides I got the mashed potatoes- delicious and my second side was fee chill, which I really liked. It's hearty and great topped with cheese and onions. It's a good size portion of food for $14.99. It's a typical Texas Roadhouse vibe, on the louder side- music vibrant bar area, singing of birthday celebrations, etc. Cool decor and I noticed the TV's show advertisements of local businesses. I didn't notice this at other locations so not sure if that was specific to Tracy. It was getting even busier when we left so I can imagine this place gets pretty packed during peak times. This was my second time at Texas Roadhouse after having lived in Tracy for the past 1.5 years. The food itself is decent for the price because they serve outrageously generous portions. I came here with a few of my friends on a Friday night and it was packed as it always is (this seems to be THE spot for dining out on Friday nights in Tracy). You couldn't taste the bitterness at all and it just tasted like lemonade but you could feel the alcohol working its magic inside your body LOL. The complimentary bread and butter were so delicious! My friends weren't exaggerating when they said they come for the sole purpose of eating the bread. I loved the sweet, cinnamon butter that it came with, making it so unique. - Cactus Blossom (4.5/5) - $10: The portion size is huge and makes it a perfect appetizer to share with friends. Super crispy and yummy. - 16 oz. Fort Worth Ribeye (4/5) - $34: The ribeye wasn't too bad but I've had better. We asked for it to be cooked medium, but it seemed closer to medium well - well done. Such lousy service! I walked in, and I was sitting at my table and there's a group of servers all standing up talking to one another in the entire section. There were approximately eight tables that were completely empty. I waited almost 10 minutes before someone even came up to my table and asked me for something to drink. 97° outside day to thirst, I asked for water and then the server was standing there, trying to sign into their order taking device and couldn't login.
