This spot is in a strip mall on Louise Ave in Manteca. We got greeted & sat right away when we came in. The staff here doesn't stop moving, it's pretty much 3 people on the service side, they take orders, run food, & check on you. I believe the guy who checked on us a lot, I want to say his name was Lieness. Super nice guy, hard worker. The other ladies too. Food was good, for sure it's marked up, but I thought quality of the seafood, and the way it was cooked was good. I've got a high standard for the sauce, this one was for sure spicy, stayed on the seafood and corn pretty well. To me that's how you can separate these boil spots from each other. When you pull the shrimp out of the bag and de-shell it does the sauce drip right off? If it does, to me that's a sign of bad sauce, it's not getting infused on the seafood, corn, potatoes, etc. This spot it was decent, but better than most. Cheese sticks were good, sweet potato fries were too, healthy portion on that. We'll probably come and eat here again for sure down the line. read more

I was craving seafood boil and wanted to try this place out seeing as there were so many (questionable) good ratings on google It was not that busy when we came, there were probably only 3 other tables dining in. Service was extremely slow and lacking, I normally don't mind if servers just leave you to do your own thing but good service was practically non-existent here if it's anything beyond taking your order as soon as you sit down and bringing it to you after it's cooled down to nearly room temp. I am disappointed with the service my family received during our visit yesterday while celebrating my nephew's 13th birthday. Upon arrival, when I informed our waitress that our party would be nine people, she responded with "Oh my God" and rolled her eyes. Throughout the meal, I was repeatedly asked to perform duties that should have been handled by our server, including putting lids on drinks, passing out beverages, distributing plates and gloves, and handing out condiments and utensils. When our shrimp order arrived incorrectly, my mother politely informed the waitress. Rather than addressing the concern, she walked away. She later returned and stated that they were out of the item we had ordered, which should have been communicated before the food was served. Additionally, the waitress's child was present in the dining area for much of our visit, loudly playing games and talking, which further impacted the dining experience. My family walked in early afternoon - gave the CRICKET EMPTY place the benefit of the doubt because it was still early we just figured we were ahead of the rush.. unfortunately we learned our lesson. This place was by far THE worst seafood boil restaurant we've ever been to. We hold seafood boils close to the heart and are usually driving 30-60 minutes to our favorite spots and wanted to give this place (a mile from home) a fair shot. My husband ordered lemon pepper shrimp, there was maybe a spoonful of sauce and when he asked for more lemon pepper sauce on the side it was a bowl of melted butter and maybe lemon pepper seasoning? Just tasted like butter so we don't know. I ordered the trifecta sauce shrimp and the sauce was just barely there, missing seasoning and flavor. Not to mention after taking our order, the waitress/manager/owner? Didn't stop by once to see how we were doing. WHILE WE WERE THE ONLY TABLE PRESENT. We had to holler for her every time because for whatever reason once we were seated she turned the party music up to an unreasonably loud volume for our one table. I'm not a Karen, I love a good time. When the food is good and there's a reason to put on music and vibe lol. Even the chicken tenders and fries for our kids were somehow equally upsetting? Fries were undercooked and soggy, tenders were dry and tough enough for our 3 year old to spit out. Idk, maybe see for yourself or just trust a true foodie lol. Also something to note, I like headless shrimp while my husband likes head-on. We've never noticed more than a $1-$2 difference (headless is usually more) but at this place, they charge $7 more for headless shrimp. RUDE EMPLOYEES!!! I called the store because I wanted to place an order for pickup. I originally tried to place my order through the website, but the website was offline and clearly stated that online ordering was unavailable and directed customers to call the store directly to place an order. I followed those instructions and called the store, explaining from the very beginning that I was trying to place an order for pickup and that the website had directed me to call. From the moment I explained why I was calling, the lady kept saying, "No orders on the phone," while talking over me and giving me an unnecessary amount of attitude. I tried to explain that I understood what she was saying, but I was simply trying to find out what I was supposed to do since the website was unavailable and specifically told me to call. She acted like she didn't understand what I was asking and continued talking over me instead of simply answering my question. I repeatedly asked, "So do I need to come into the store and order since everything is unavailable online?" She continued talking over me, giving me attitude, and yelling, and eventually told me that I needed to come in and order, even though that was exactly what I had already been asking. This went on for literally three minutes of repeating myself and going back and forth. It honestly felt like she was just trying to shoo me away, and eventually it worked. If the website is unavailable for online orders and is specifically telling customers to call the store, then the website needs to be fixed or updated with the correct information. Customers shouldn't be directed to call only to be treated rudely when they do exactly what the website tells them to do. I understand if the store has a policy that orders cannot be placed over the phone, but there is absolutely no reason to speak to a customer with that much attitude and disrespect. After this interaction, I will not be giving this business my money. There are plenty of other places I can order from where I can be treated with basic respect. read more

So I came in here, hoping to have some good boiling crab for my birthday and when we first walked in, they had one party in there and we were not acknowledged for about 15 minutes. I should've known them to just walk away. However, we stayed and again, sat for almost 20 minutes with zero acknowledgement. We ordered the $55 bucket that came with 1/2lb of shrimp and 1/2 of crawfish and 2 corn and 2 potatoes and 2 mushrooms and 1/2lb of crab legs. 1 order of white rice and french fries. That order was delicious, well seasoned and not spicy at all. We then ordered water she came and dropped off 2 bottled waters, my husband tried to tell her he wanted iced water in a cup she said its okay and just left the water bottles at our table. A table near us asked for water also they got iced cup water. We saw her called called her over immediately and told her we wanted that water (her facial expression was like oh fuck) she came over and laughed and gave us water in the same cup we had our sodas in. I was annoyed by that like she really tried to play us. What a disgrace! We later ordered 1lb of shrimp the same flavor as the previous order. This one came in a little spicy which i did not ask for but we still ate it slowly because it seemed like she doesn't understand orders!? She was the only one taking orders and serving and charging. Again food was great but service was shit and she is a bit unfriendly the older short asian lady. Also half way through our food she opens the doors and leave it wide open so our food went colder quicker and my husband was fighting the flies off the food. When another worker came out, I politely said "excuse me" so I wouldn't interrupt anyone. She looked at me with irritation and said, "I'm busy," even though all I needed were basic items that should have been included with my order. While I continued waiting, the cashier who originally took my order noticed me and asked if I needed anything. As she tried to help, the older woman who had ignored me began yelling at her in front of customers. The cashier apologized and went to grab what I needed, while the older woman continued to be rude and dismissive. I asked if she was the owner; she ignored me. The cashier then told me she was the owner's mother. At that point, I let them know I would be leaving a review and requesting a refund. No customer should be treated disrespectfully, and no employee should be yelled at for simply doing their job. A lot of the negative comments here is about their customer service and theres a reason for that. I will never recommend this place just to be greeted and serve by rude employees is not a place where i want to spend crap load of money on. We have dined in had a bad customer service experience, we placed an order online and when we picked up they said they never got our order, their order doesnt even go directly to the restaurant, some rude lady said my daughter handles the online orders and they never got it after waiting good 30 minutes. Being the relatively small town that we are I was fully expecting mediocre food at best. Suffice it to say my wife & I were ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY!!! This place has killer, and I mean killer Cajun & Creole food, and I know my Louisiana & NOLA food. You might even say I have to turn in my gumbo crown now. If I could have, I would have gone in the back and given the cook a hug and probably called her mom. It wasn't only that everything tasted great it's the fact that seafood, especially shrimp, is not the easiest thing to cook. I just got ripped off, I was charged $95 dollars for a one person bucket. Her prices on the menu she hands you are not what is charged. She made sure we sat down instead of ordering from the cash register; where the real prices are hidden. My crawdads were the size of brine shrimp. Everything was covered in a ton of butter. We've said multiple times that we wouldn't return, hoping each time that maybe the service would improve -- but this last visit was the final straw. First of all, upon arriving at the Cajun spot located in Manteca I felt discriminated when I walked in, the lady that wears sunglasses (black) on July 12, 2026 around 7:40pm, was very rude. I had just gotten off work and decided to give this place a try with my husband. Upon walking in sunglass lady turn me around and basically said no dining in constantly telling me no as I am informing her I have reservations right before they stop taking dine in guess which is 8:00pm. I called around 3pm and made reservations I spoke with josiah I believe is his name starts with a J. He was very polite and stepped in and seated me and my husband immediately when he heard what was going on. I also mentioned my concerns to him with his co worker and thanked him 100x as I really was looking forward to eating here, although the lady was rude we still stayed because of josiah. His service showed true dedication to his job. Throughout our dine in he came and checked on us, making us feel very comfortable and ensuring us that he is ready to serve us. While the food was ok, overall I recommend giving employees that kindness goes a long way. You should not handle anyone's food with negative energy or attitudes. It is not professional. Thank God for the worker josiah for his leadership during this experience as it was our first time. We really appreciate him. I will absolutely come back as long as he is there or more workers act like him while being in a high volume establishment. Further more, the other worker (sunglasses) seated two other families in which is also why I feel discriminated-- the entire time she just kept looking at me as if I did not belong there. We found a spot with good garlic noodles! The boyfriend and i decided to try this place out one weekend. We arrived a few mins after they opened and the place was already packed. We were lucky enough to have a spot. Garlic noodles with sausage (4/5). The dish was oily and the sausage tasted spicy. The dish was pretty delish despite being both oily and spicy. Garlic fries (3/5). The fries were ok. They had fresh garlic bits but the fries seems to be overcooked because they were really crunchy. Chicken tenders with fries (2/5). The chicken tenders were really hard. The batter had way too much flour and also the French fries were overcooked. Chicken tenders ended up being super had the next day since we took it home to eat. Overall, food was good. There was only one waitress that was doing everything all by herself. Service was great despite how busy she was. read more

Bad service, been in multiple times and the lady is rude. We came multiple times over a hour before closing and weren't able to order.

We have been coming to Cajun Spot for a few years now and haven't been in a while - we were unfortunately very disappointed this tine around. We got our usual Bucket #3 and immediately noticed how much smaller the portion is. We used to feed three people on this and now there is barely enough for two. The shrimp were way overdone and rubbery - to the point that the shell stuck to the meat like super glue. The corn and potatoes were mushy and overdone and the pound of crab equaled two small clusters. The trifecta sauce is now sweet and hardly spicy even at the 2nd level. We also made the mistake of ordering two unsweetened iced teas which ended up being two bottles of Pure Leaf Iced Tea that they charge $6 a piece for! Total out the door was $113 after a 20% tip for a meal that was lackluster at best, and way overpriced for the quality it presented. We won't be returning again unfortunately; we can make our own seafood boil for a fraction of the cost and with much better care and quality. read more

You order your fish by the pound (shrimp, different types of crab, crawfish), then you pick your sauce (Cajun, garlic butter, lemon pepper or trifecta (combo of all three)). Then you pick your spice level. You can add potatoes, corn or sausage. Then the fun begins. Your food will come all mixed in a plastic bag and you have to get your hands in there.
