Just arrived in town from Los Angeles。 We checked on Yelp for a restaurant that served Pho, Rice & Roll'd popped up, but when we arrived, it was already 7:30pm, they closed at 8:00pm。 I asked the two young ladies who were working in there if it's okay for us to have dinner，because it's so close to closing time for them, but they both were very gracious and assured us that we could have dinner there。 Not only they didn't rush us, they were very happy and friendly to serve our delicious dinner。 We have eaten at many different Pho places in Los Angeles, but to our surprise, this restaurant has the BEST pho we've ever eaten。 With this wonderful service and delicious food, we will definitely return whenever we are in town。 If you live near this place, you MUST come to try this place。 read more

I love this place! The staff is always super friendly and the atmosphere is always great. My favorite is the chicken pho because it is gluten-free. I haven't really tried anything else besides the shrimp spring rolls which were good as well. When I like something I stick with it so my review will only be for those two items. Came here for dinner. Overall, the food was pretty good. I got the C4, which was a rice plate with a grilled pork chop, shredded pork, and an egg. The grilled pork chop was very tasty, and the best part of the plate. The shredded pork was not what I expected - it almost looked like tripe and was kind of tasteless. Similarly, the egg came in a cube and was more of a frittata. My biggest issue though is with the service. My husband's pho came out almost immediately, about 20 minutes before the next dish. Tried Rice & Rolld for the first time and ordered the pho. The broth had great flavor, the noodles were yummy, but the beef was a little bland and overcooked for my taste. The space itself could use a little extra attention -- our table felt a bit sticky, and the hallway to the bathroom was pretty greasy and slippery. That said, the food overall was good so I'd like to give them another shot and hope it was just an extra busy day. It's always good to eat here. Specially during cold season or anytime it's cold come here. Very cozy place. Service was a bit slow to serve us food but it's still worth to wait. The only thing that I would say is that the busser is very slow to clean up any tables that are used. read more

Stopped by here for a lunch break from our Great Wolf Lodge experience as the restaurant is about 10 minutes away. I liked the Pho and the drinks (Pina Colada smoothie and Iced Vietnamese Coffee). Vietnamese Steak & Egg with Bread (Banh Mi Bo Ne) - the heart of the dish, the steak, was tender and delicious. Came with a meatball and a small spreadable wedge of cheese, which were interesting, but didn't think it added much like the pate we've had with other Banh Mi Chao. Grilled Pork Chop Rice Plate was good - comes with 2 pork chops (we added an egg). The pork chop with egg only comes with one pork chop. Fried Egg Rolls were ok - what we expected with a slightly thicker and crunchier skin. The Shrimp fried rice looked gorgeous and the shrimp had really good texture (not overcooked). It was just underseasoned and did not have much oil or wok hay. A pretty solid choice for Vietnamese food. read more

Update 8/2025 Man I'm really on the fence. I think I haven't been here in a couple of years. Randomly came with my cousin and there were a lot of new things on the menu (at least from what I could remember) and I was immediately hooked. Just a few days after that I came back on my own after work and my experience was WAY different. What was going to be updated to a 4/5 may be downgraded to a 2/5. When I visited with my cousin, we got the grilled beef spring roll to share and I ordered their Banh Mi Bo Ne aka Vietnamese Steak and Eggs. I have only ordered this one time at a great restaurant in the OC and as good as it was, theirs may have been even better. The meat was so tender, the egg was perfectly cooked and the sauce was so flavorful. Their bread had a nice crisp to the outside while maintaining a nice airy fluff on the inside. It was perfect for dipping into the sauce. It also came with like a baby bell cheese triangle kind of thing as well as like a giant Asian meatball. Usually, I'm not a fan of the Asian meatballs in general, but there's a surprisingly doable for me. My cousin really enjoyed his pho Filet Mignon combo. We both LOVED the grilled beef spring roll. The perfect sear on the beef, the nice cook of the noodles and everything paired well with the sweet peanut sauce. For drinks I ordered both their oolong milk and watermelon milk teas. I had ordered the oolong specifically because the very first time I ordered it years ago it was the perfect combo of toasted sweetness. Every other time I've had it, it was never quite as good, but that last time it was finally pretty close. This was my first time getting the watermelon milk tea. I know a lot of people prefer the natural taste but I was really hoping for a strong artificial taste. It was slightly lacking in that considering the color. On to the 2nd visit about 3 days later. I was on my way home from work so I just ordered a couple of spring rolls to go; 1 grilled beef and 1 pork & shrimp. My parents enjoyed their pork and shrimp spring roll. As for me I had a different experience with my grilled beef one. This time I it was a bit harder to eat. The flavors and the other components masked the problems that I didn't initially notice. The onions that were wrapped in the grilled beef were a bit tough and undercooked so they came out whole when I took a bite. The meat had a bit of an off chew. When I took a closer look at it, the beef appeared to be under cooked and borderline raw. I like a medium rare steak as much as the next person but for a grilled beef spring roll that's just not appropriate. I ended up taking the meat out of the roll and cooking it a bit longer to finish cooking. So where they were going from a 3/5 to a 4/5, I think I'm going to have to ding them on this and drop them to a 2/5. I had I had the time, I was going to try and go again today but I'll have to save it for another day to see if that was just a fluke. Hopefully I can bump them back up to at least a 3/5 and maybe even a 4/5. As for service I can't really complain, they are fairly pleasant and get the food out in a decent timeframe. read more

Second time here and me and my bestie decided to come in for a quick bite. The restaurant is situated in the heart of Downtown Manteca. Very charming location and the interior is beautiful and modern. Very neat and tidy. My bestie ordered the Bun Bo Hue soup for the first time and she enjoyed while I had pork and shrimp spring rolls. Good wasn't either great or bad but satisfying. They have a huge menu with all sorts of Vietnamese dishes, which I love . Service was decent, could've been better. The main complaint could be the air conditioning. It's a hot summer day in Manteca and where a spot that offers hot soups for the majority of the customers, should insist on turning the air conditioner on. It was a bit humid in there. Wow! What a hidden gem. We were visiting from out of town and pho sounded great at the time. My BFF found this place on yelp with great reviews (now we know why). Staff is very welcoming. Seated us immediately, very accommodating. We were a party of 9. Their menu has some great options, surely to satisfy any craving you may have. I love beef stew and theirs was amazing! Just the right amount of delicious broth, meaty too. I ordered the regular size, it was so much I had to pack my leftovers. Tasted amazing the next day too! Bahn mi was delicious the mayo used was very tangy and the veggies seemed very fresh, they had great music playing and the staff member was a younger gentleman who was very kind, pho was hot and a more mild pho flavor, the eggrolls didn't taste like fryer and the rice plate and house fried rice were really good, nothing seemed old and tasted fresh, didn't get to try a tea but noticed many other people drinking them and they looked delicious. since it is downtown you'll have to park in the back lot. When it's a hot day, it makes sense to counter the heat with a warm meal right? That logic stands for me though I didn't get pho or a broth based meal this time. I was craving some spring rolls and my bf saw this place when he passed by before, best time to give a try. Parking on the street wasn't all too hard to find in the afternoon as cars seem to be constantly going in and out. Inside here, it was pretty cool to see a motorbike display that seemed like ones commonly used in Vietnam. Everything was bright and clean while smelling like comfort food (to me), the broth scent permeates the place a bit and I love it! I had to get an order of shrimp spring rolls and 2 rice plates, was in the mood to drown my rice in fish sauce (iykyk). When it comes to Vietnamese food, I do get a bit picky as I grew up with family from Vietnam and having a family Pho Ga restaurant. Around the central valley area, I'm always on the look out for good comfort food. Service was pretty good; it took a little bit for us to put our order in, but the spring rolls and rice places came out very quickly. For the shrimp spring rolls, the presentation with the pickled carrots and daikon all over wasn't my favorite as I had to dig my roll out - but it's a nice added crunch to have together with a bite of spring roll. The spring rolls were nice and refreshing, no herbs in it - but there's a good balance of noodles to lettuce in it. As for the dipping sauce - it was a little heavier on the peanut side than hoisin, but still very good. For the 2 rice plates, I really enjoyed the grilled pork. It was very flavorful while still being tender and having a good sear on it. As for the chả trứng hấp on my plate, the flavor was mild and the meatloaf was a little more on the loose side... but nevertheless, the plate was very good with a nice light broth on the side. We got a few orders of bánh mì to go and they're what I would expect - the ratio of veggies to meat were fair with nice big slices of jalapeño. Oh! I also got a passionfruit tea with white boba (agar) and it was delightfully refreshing for the warm weather. There wasn't any weird sugary aftertaste and wasn't too overly sweet at the same time. If it's not for food, I'd happily come back for a boba - got other flavors to try now! Final Thoughts: I'm definitely coming back to give the pho a try. The beef stew also looks really good - that'll also be on my list to try. 10/10 - spring roll craving satisfied and it's honestly the best hot weather meal despite it being an appetizer (I'll take 2 orders to make it a meal!). read more

I wish I could say I loved my Pho, but I hardly did. First I need my pho juice to have flavor/seasoning to it. This pho juice hardly had flavor, I added salt to it at work. The portion for the middles were low I was surprised. The fried egg rolls had no seasoning to it they were cooked and rolled great for sure, but there was a bland taste to it.
