My husband ordered the #29 Grilled Pork Chops rice plate, my son had the #43 Spicy Lemongrass Beef & Pork Noodle Soup, and I ordered the P1 Beef Short Ribs & Rare Steak Pho. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and generously portioned. We also shared appetizers -- fried egg rolls, crispy fried shrimp, and grilled beef spring rolls -- all perfectly cooked and delicious. Before leaving, we couldn't resist ordering grilled beef and grilled pork bánh mì sandwiches to-go, which were just as amazing later on. The service really stood out. I wish they let the rare beef separate so that it's not overcooked in the broth. The only negative is that noodle portion is small. I added an extra serving of noodle. It's been a while since I came back when thy first open. Wow the update to this spot is so nice. Love the ambiance the new look of this place looks more appealing glad they remodeled. Me and my son came by for lunch and order to go and the service just in the wait time teas amazing. Shout to Jason for doing his thing. pretty sad about my experience there about a half hour ago, we went in to grab some pho and we told them that we wanted to dine in. They sat us down at the table and then they gave us our food in to go boxes, even though they knew we dining in. i'm pretty sad about it because we've been supporting this place since they opened and we love to come and eat there, but the gave us the food a to go box and when I was obviously confused the girl working there told me that they put it in a to go box for us, I told her we wanted to eat it there, but I was just pretty upset so we just ended up leaving with the food in the to go box. don't think I'll be coming back just because I was pretty upset about it and they all saw what was happening, but they didn't really care. read more

We've been coming here to get our fix and I usually customize my order to make it low carb. My go to order is #16 which is supposed to have vermicelli noodles, but I prefer mine with all salad/lettuce (no noodles) topped with chicken, shrimp and egg roll. Hubby gets his Pho fix. Not everyone would have the same taste on what food or places they like. My honest opinion about this place is that this place is good. The service they do is good so far. They would ask if you want more rice if they see your bowl has no more rice when you have extra food on the plate next to you. The menu is pretty good (large variety). I like the drinks they had. Overall adding new interior, elements, & fake props to the place (looks a lot better in person than old photos here on yelp) makes customers wanna give a chance to trying. Man, why did hey have to change ownership? This was our go-to Pho spot in Tracy but we will not be coming back. So let's start with the positive... the new look is great. I love the open concept. Two stars for the new look. Now let's get to the bad. We arrived, the waiter, Jason, told us to have a seat anywhere. There were 2 other tables seated and eating already. There was one lady waiting for a to go order then us and that was it. Jason brought us water then for 15 minutes did everything else but come back to us to take our order. We waited patiently and he said, "I'll be right there." Now, I don't mind waiting as I understand, you have orders to bag and what not but to keep bagging orders and helping everyone else but us was extremely rude. A lady that was cooking at the back saw we were still waiting to have our order taken and sent the taller gentleman that was also a cook to come take our order. After getting our order taken and the gentleman going back to cook again, Jason comes over and asks if our order had been taken. Now this was a weird question because he saw the guy taking our order. After getting our food, Jason again never asked if we wanted more water, how anything was, or interact with us at all until it was time to pay. We heard him interacting with people that came in after us and he was pleasant, asked if they wanted their water with or without ice, made sure to come back quickly to take their order, etc. We were never asked if we wanted ice or no ice in our water. We weren't even offered more water. That is TERRIBLE customer service. The service alone made it easier for us to choose to not come back. Now for the food, I pretty much order the same thing every single time, the Vermicelli with grilled chicken and shrimp. This time it seems the food was not seasoned well. My boyfriend had gotten the grilled chicken plate and his chicken was also not seasoned well. It's disappointing when you go somewhere regularly then stop going for a few months, come back to a whole new look, new owners, and not only does the service lack but the food quality is lacking. Pretty small place. It doesn't scream of cleanliness. (I even thought this prior to finding hair on top of the chili oil and crumbs on top of the plates.) However, everyone here was welcoming and provided good customer service. Skip the appetizers, I wasn't impressed. I tried the Vegetarian Spring Rolls and Fried Shrimp Rolls. I was expecting more than just lettuce, noodles, and tofu in the spring roll. I was also expecting more than just a small shrimp inside a wrapper inside the shrimp roll...definitely wouldn't reorder. The pho was good; the broth was very flavorful. I had #5. It had a decent amount of meat, although a few of the pieces were a bit too tough. The noodles were obviously pre-portioned, as they came clumped in a ball inside the soup. The portion also seemed a bit small compared to pho portions I'm used to at home (in Sacramento). Happy to see another Vietnamese restaurant in Tracy! Pho Town took over what used to be Pho Minh Long in the FoodMaxx shopping center. I ordered Pho Town for takeout looking for a quick and easy meal, and got their Pho Dac Biet. I'd give the pho a 3/5 but I'll round up since it was for to-go and pho is usually better in the restaurant IMO. I liked how everything was packaged separately (the soup, noodles/beef, and the bean sprouts). I wasn't the biggest fan of how the noodles came precooked. Most pho restaurants I visit in the SJ area leave the noodles uncooked since the rice noodles can quickly congeal and become a mushy blob after cooking it through, and this was exactly what happened with the noodles I got. The broth was rich and flavorful but the portions of meat also felt on the smaller side. I thought it was pretty cool that they had a pho challenge here - it definitely doesn't beat pho in the South Bay but it does it's job for being in Tracy! read more

I asked for a recommendation for the best PHO in Tracy and quickly my coworker told me about PHO TOWN, only to discover the best BANH MI sandwich I have tasted since my creation. Why is it so tasty? I think I found my new favorite pho spot. My go-to is usually pho with rare flank and something else (I know it when I see it) but this place didn't have it. But no worries b/c you can customize your pho w/meat options. The broth flavor was 100/10!! absolute perfection. Except, it was scalding hot and I burned my tongue which lasted a few days :( We also ordered the fried shrimp rolls. 100/10!! They were hot and fresh. I do wish we would've had more of the dipping sauce to really dunk the rolls. I loved that the table not only had your usual hoisin and siracha, but also chili oil!!! While we were eating, a staff member began sweeping the dirty floor, raising dust in the air, and then mopping with strong chemical cleaners--right next to our table. To make matters worse, he opened the door to bring in chairs, letting in freezing air on an already cold evening. Then came the comment: "We close at 8:30. You came late. We still served you. You were watching your phone the whole time!" For the record, I was waiting for my son to finish eating and getting some work done--not that it's his concern. If this restaurant has an issue with guests arriving close to closing time, it should clearly post a last order time. "Closing at 8:30 PM" does not mean the restaurant should be cleaned and shut down while customers are still dining. If the goal is to walk out the door at 8:30, then seating should stop well before that--ideally by 7:30 PM. That's basic hospitality and service etiquette. As for the food--completely forgettable. The only thing it tasted like was dust and floor cleaner. The experience was rushed, unpleasant, and frankly, disrespectful. We will not be returning. read more

The restaurant is clean itself, small but perfect for parties of 1-4. They seem to have sort of pho challenge because there's a winners/losers wall that I totally missed until we were on the way out. I stirred it up and then dipped my spring roll, the sauce literally tasted like unsalted peanut butter mixed with vinegar. Never in my life have a tasted a peanut sauce so bad. I instead, doused my piece of spring roll with hoisin sauce and gulped it down. We didn't finish it because it just wasn't good. The strawberry smoothie with boba was very basic but the boba tasted fresh with some bounce. I enjoyed the boba more than the actual smoothie. Now, the pho. They gave all the fixins on the side and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was flavorful. The brisket was tender and the tripe was the perfect amount of chewy.
