I wish I could give them five stars. Egg rolls are finger size and brought up to the table with a lot of oil, mostly carrots inside.

Got here before 8:40pm on a Thursday night. We were told we can only order out and only soup. The restaurant is supposed to close at 9pm. So we got a large Pho Gai. And we decided to eat in the car since we were very hungry. First taste of the chicken, the familiar taste swamped over me and I yelped "Costco chicken" . The chicken tastes exactly like the Costco rotisserie chicken! I can't believe this chicken pho costs more than $17 and the chicken is from Costco. The soup was a bit salty. Since our car parked in front of the restaurant, at 8:58pm , we saw all the waitresses came out and locked the door! So know that this is not a place you can get in before 9pm and still be served. They start cleaning up at 8:30pm and rush to close their door! Definitely won't come back!

From out of town and dropped in to try. 4 stars for the food. Service-wise they weren't super attentive and ambiance was okay/average for pho restaurants. Broth was flavorful and I had never tried pho with grilled sirloin before. Added interesting flavors to the broth - charred, caramelized, salty, sweet. Meat was very tender and good quality. Kids had the chicken broth and said it was a bit too sweet.

I will never return. I walked over here to order something food for the lady who owns the house, who was in the hospital. She wanted pho with shrimp and beef and also, a bubble tea. I told the person that was one order. She rang up the pho, which was nearly $20 for the smaller size. I asked her again for the tea. I ordered my banh mi and put both on my card since the lady didn't give me enough cash. I believe the tea was nearly $7 and the banh mi was almost $11. For some reason, I wasn't given a receipt for either order, and I'm not very trusting the first time I order at a restaurant. The pho was given to me in pieces and given to me almost immediately. I was informed that they were making my sandwich when they handed me the tea. The sandwich was handed to me and I wondered where the rest of it was. I'd never seen banh mi so small. I managed to carry everything without a problem. At the house, I assembled the pho and gave the lady the bean sprouts and whatnot to add to it. I tried my sandwich and it didn't taste like anything I'd ever had. They had some sweet sauce on it. The lady didn't like the pho but they seemed to use good ingredients. I was wishing that I still lived in San Jose with some of the best Vietnamese food in the country.

Average pho spot. Came here when there was only one other couple. I was seated right away, given ice water right away, both of which i appreciated. However, my food order came out wrong. The restaurant was so slow that staff was on their phones not paying attention to the two tables that had customers (mine being one of them). There was a lady standing at the register ready with her tables and payment but no one helped her. After a bit she walked back to her table and just waited for someone to notice her. Another customer finally came in after the two tables were finished eating. As far as the restaurant, it was pretty spacious and looked clean. The food wasnt anything special though, just your typical pho. Would come back if I'm craving pho, but I definitely wouldnt have to come back here otherwise.

We were seated quickly and received our food very quickly. The waiter was super friendly. The inside is well decorated and has the smell of Vietnamese food as soon as you walk in. The pho was pretty standard and the milk tea was soooo good. Worth a stop.

Love me my PHO! From the staff being very helpful and fast! My family and I love pho island specially in this cold weather season nothing else compares to a hot bowl of pho! We've tried other pho places in Manteca but nothing compares to the taste they have going on! Highly recommended!

Very nice authentic Vietnamese restaurant. They have a large variety of food and drinks to choose from. Portions are great and prices are reasonable. This is my go-to place when I'm craving Vietnamese food. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Wait staff are very prompt and friendly.

Grand opening so we got 30% off on December 3 on all food and drinks. We ordered the Tiger Milk Tea, Vietnamese coffee, Pho Grilled Beef Ribeye, Vermicelli with grilled pork and pork eggrolls, a side of garlic noodles and then the Grilled Beef Korean Short Rib to go. Tiger milk tea had a strong honey flavor which I enjoyed. Tends to be on the sweeter side so beware, and boba was slightly hard. The Vietnamese coffee was good but also more on the sweeter side than that classic bitterness that I enjoy with cafe sua da. I'd get the tiger milk tea again but would pass on the coffee. Pho Grilled Beef Ribeye was just plain pho with a side of cooked marinated meat, which I've never seen before but I assume it's on the menu to cater to the people in the area who might not like the traditional way of pho where the meat is cooked in the broth fairly plain. The grilled ribeye was GOOD! Juicy and flavorful, however it was on the thinner side. The pho broth was extremely lacking in flavor, it was a plain broth with no essence of the usual components of pho. I would pass on getting pho here personally, I'm from San Jose and I'd say we have some pretty amazing pho there (and homemade of course). But if you're the type of person that likes to drown their broth in lime, sriracha, chili oil, and hoisin then you'll like this spot as the broth is simple so you can dress it up. Vermicelli with grilled pork and pork eggrolls was a good dish, meat was flavorful and eggrolls were crispy. I really enjoyed the side of garlic noodles! Had a good bite to them and really garlicky. The Korean short rib was overcooked so it was a little tough to chew when we got it to go and needed more flavor so I'd pass on this rice plate. I'd come back for the garlic noodles and probably a side of marinated meat, a vermicelli bowl if I'm craving it but I can make that at home. This spot is really small and the tables and chairs are way too close to each other it was hard to go to the bathroom and not disturb any other tables. The service was okay, you can tell that the staff is super stressed out handling a grand opening in such a small restaurant. We met the owners and they were really nice.

I order for pick up on DoorDash. It wasn't ready when I arrived, but it allowed me time to take pictures! This is a very nice new restaurant! Great seating, cool birthday wheel, and lots of options on the menu. The food was great. The pho was very authentic and spicy and the spring rolls were perfect.

Great pho place! We stopped here on Thursday for lunch since we were in the area waiting for a place to open. Food was delicious and service was good too. We ordered the pho special combo, grilled pork chop and grilled beef rib-eye rice plates. The rice plates comes with chicken broth soup. Portions here are good and the food taste delicious. Besides soup and rice plates, this place offers only 3 banh mi sandwiches. For drinks they have red/white wine, beer, smoothie drinks, boba drinks, coffee, soda and tea.

The interior of Cask & Barrel has an upscale type of vibe with a black slate style stone and some fun accent colors throughout. Everything is organized very well which makes it very easy to find the type of alcohol you seek. In my opinion, it is easier to find different types of alcohol here than the local competitors of similar size. There is a wine cellar with glass walls which make viewing from the floor pretty cool. On your way out, you will find four registers at the front. If you like cigars to go with your liquor they have a small selection at the front counter. Pricing is on par with other local competitors. Not sure if it was due to my visit being during opening day, but there were plenty of employees working behind the register and on the floor. We were asked if we needed help when we walked around. Looking at the exterior, we could only guess what was coming. Walking in just after opening gave us opportunity to marvel over the beautifully appointed interior without bothering yet to arrive lunch customers. After perusing the menu, which we had somewhat studied pre decision to dine here, our waiter Matteo filled in item by item our understanding of the many menu options. With his help and suggestions we four decided to share two "starters" - the whipped feta - half classic and half smoky. Both were delicious! We chose the 4 piece Bruschetta with a suggested cheese added. It too rang the delicious bell. We picked paninis for our main course: Flank steak, French dip and Prosciutto & Fig Jam. Each would be served with a side salad - either Spinach or Spring. We all chose Spinach. The sandwiches were full of the components as described. My wife's Prosciutto & Fig Jam had prosciutto from end to end countering a review to the contrary I had read. The other paninis were likewise filled. The Spinach side salads were loaded with walnuts and cranberries. The amount of feta was adequate. the total amount of salad was more than I expected. My wife ordered a dessert to go, and just reported to me that was superb. We had to forgo any wine with lunch as we had miles to drive home afterward. But I await the day we can spend the night in town and enjoy some selections of their impressive wine stock and not have to drive home. A Friday evening comes to mind. It must happen so we can try out more items of their well chosen fare. A couple of the pokes look scrumptious and a few more of the paninis await my gastric juices. We were pleasantly surprised by Damon bringing us a complimentary Chocolate Panini served with house made whipped zcream (who even serves that these days?) He said that we HAD to try his #1 selling item from the whole menu before we left. We tasted, and learned why it had reached that status. Good in appearance. Perfect in creation, Superb in taste. Kudos by the bucketful to Damon, Matteo, and the rest of the staff who helped this Birthday Bash be warm & fuzzy and highly enjoyed. If you haven't yet. I suggest you put Camp 4 on your high priority list and enjoy the experience as I'm sure you will. We sure did!
