    orange chicken

I was getting some tea next door when I saw that Taiwan delight finally opened. I've passed by this place several times and finally had the chance to try some dishes and wow I'm definitely coming back. We got the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, house special wings, candied eggplants (this was so crispy and flavorful), and orange chicken. Everything was so good and flavorful!

Great food and great service. Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The portions were generous and the staff was very friendly. Definitely one of the better food spots around -- will be back!

Amazing food, great service, and such a welcoming atmosphere! Every dish was fresh, flavorful. The staff friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Definitely can't wait to come back!

Pretty disappointed…read more We sat at our table for a minute like a bunch of deers in headlights unsure if anyone would come greet us. If you're ready to order you will need to use the QR code provided on the table. I personally think some kind of instructions near the QR code/ on the table for the guest would be a little helpful. Nothing crazy either. (Just like a hey order here, and we will be with you shortly ... idk just a thought) If you are patient enough and already ordered someone will indeed come by with water, utensils, napkins and the side you ordered with your pot. For all the staff that was coming in/out the kitchen today service was bare minimum. Hardly anyone came to our table to check on us or the quality of our food. Food wasn't the best for the price either. For me personally none of the pots seemed appealing. I ended up ordering a soup then adding beef, ramen and some corn. Corn was way too sweet. My husband opted for the seafood pot and he later wished he would have just order a custom pot and added a bunch of stuff instead. Way too many veggies. One tiny lobster, two muscles, two shrimp and a partridge in a pear tree.. I ordered the Thai tea and my husband the brown sugar milk tea. Be sure to check and see if your drink already comes with boba so you don't buy extra and not receive extra. My drink was awful and I am a HUGE FAN of Thai Tea. I ended up ordering the same drink as my husband -- the brown shaken milk tea and it was so much better. We still had to pay for all 3 drinks even though the Thai tea tasted like medicine. What really threw me for a loop was the bug (looked like a baby cockroach) crawling towards me on the table. I'm not sure what's going on here but I just was not happy with my experience.

As soon as i finished my order. It started getting very busy. It went from quiet waiting for my food to full on packed restaurant. It was got noisy in a matter of 10 minutes. She handled it well so Kudos to her, she was the only server at the time. Food was quickly handed to me, so it wasn't too much of a wait time. Got home and everything was well in order. Forgot to take pictures of the beverages. The curly fries were really solid. Popcorn chicken was probably my least favorite one, it's not bad, but the seasoning tasted very ginger like. I have to say the best thing was the crepe. It was so delicious, very fresh, the strawberry and bananas were very flavorful. They have other flavors that I will for sure stop by again to try them.

They brought out a pitcher of water to help yourself to refill with water which is always great in my opinion. The order I got was the mixed fruit crepe, which is roughly 8 layers thick, with Nutella filling. The fruits on it starting at the tip is apples, strawberries, kiwis, and finally bananas. I liked the design and taste of the crepe a lot. I do recommend to switch out the Nutella for a lighter filing such as vanilla cream or cream cheese to complement the fruits, but the Nutella was still just as good. Overall, I highly recommend this place, and will revisit again to try out their soups/ramen/rice dishes most definitely.

We ended up at Journey To The Dumpling, and our experience was surprisingly... amazing??. Considering my party of 17 people, I knew that without reservations, we were going to have to wait a bit before they could seat all of us. And when they did, they gave us the BEST server. I forgot his name, but he did such an amazing job, especially tasked with handling a bigger party that's my family. Amazing spirit throughout the dinner and was extremely kind. He guided us through the menu and gave us recommendations and even told us we were ordering too much for our tables (which we should've listened to him... he was right, lol). I regret not remembering his name, but he tried the special crack sauce we made and brought from home so if you're reading this & I'm talking about you!! My family adored you!! Onto the food... amazing. We ordered so much, and yet I didn't snap a single picture??? lol. Here are my ratings with no context: Beef Roll: 3.5/5 Green beans (we got all three flavors: garlic, black bean, spicy sichuan-style): 5/5 Seasonal veggies: 5/5 (I love veggies idk what to tell you) Peking spare ribs: 4/5 Salt & pepper calamari: 3/5 Xiao long bao: 4.75/5 Vegetarian dumplings: 3.7/5 Wonton in chili oil: 6/5 (not a typo, this is my fav) BBQ pork: 4/5 Yang chow fried rice: 4/5 Chow fun (we tried every protein): 3.5/5 | with gravy: 4/5 Anyways, safe to say, we'll be back.

My friend and I heard the same thing! However, when it came time to pay, I was charged full price. When I brought it up and even pointed out the worker, the staff claimed they had no idea what I was talking about. At that point, I just let it go but honestly, it didn't get any better from there. Every dish we ordered was bland, lacked flavor, and wasn't consistent at all. To make matters worse, I noticed something concerning near the cashier. They were refilling the water jug using what looked like a used plastic container that didn't appear clean or sanitary, which was really off-putting. Overall, this experience was disappointing from start to finish, both in terms of service and food quality.

The service is what you'd expect at an Asian restaurant in the Bay -- efficient and no frills -- but gets the job done well. Immediately after the food arrived -- we dug in. Not just because we were famished, but because it was THAT good. (One of those situations where you stop talking and just eat...) I'd wholly recommend the Oyster Pancake (a balance of briny seafood with sweet pancake sauce) and the Specialty Hakka Noodles ("Q," i.e. chewy, in the most perfect sense). Will definitely make a pit stop in Milpitas for Taiwan Cafe next time in Milpitas and highly recommend for anyone who's looking for a taste of some excellent Taiwanese cooking.
