I liked the tobiko inside the fish balls. Minus 1 star for their Turon since it had coconut that wasn't described in the menu. Menu said saba banana and jackfruit . Went here a year ago and remembered their sea salt oolong tea being so fire...but sad to say that wasn't the case today. I ordered their oolong milk tea with boba and it was not what I remembered from before! Boba was tasteless and really chewy. Oolong milk tea tasted more like coffee and was missing that tea flavor. This is a really nice place to get boba. Good variety of snacks and meals, the place is clean. I ordered the Coconut Jasmine Milk Tea with boba and the Wintermelon and Earl Grey Milk Tea with boba. I thought we'd try the garlic noodles and popcorn chicken. The milk teas were flavorful and not too sweet (just like we like them). The garlic noodles were ok and the popcorn chicken were bland. The menu was impressively large, offering a wide variety of drinks and snacks. We went with the Earl Grey milk tea and an order of popcorn chicken. Unfortunately, both were pretty disappointing. The chicken tasted stale and arrived cold. The milk tea was overly sweet with no option to adjust the sugar level. To top it off, the drink came with canned grass jelly. I'm loving the Thai camo right now and feel like the salted cheese really helps balance the sweetness of the drink! I have tried the spicy calamari and it is very spicy but still delicious. I love the play of words when it comes to the name of this store. Incorporating the theme of tea in Te Amo is great. Really nice, clean boba shop in Manteca. To be honest I didn't know what to expect, but this probably one of the best boba shops you could go to in a town like Manteca. Parking is easy and the customer service is great. Ordering is also easy since you could order online on the Snackpass app or even through Yelp, but I highly recommend Snackpass since there are some limitations with ordering on here. They have snacks and interesting and aesthetically pleasing drinks like their Chamango. You're also able to adjust sweetness levels and ice levels which is nice. Today I opted for the Taro Milk Tea and Seasoned Curly Fries. I love Taro Milk Tea even if it is not real taro. I don't know if this is controversial or not, but taro powder is better than real taro. I honestly don't enjoy real taro chunks and then texture of them. Taro powder may be artificial, but it is so good and satisfies my sugar cravings. The boba is solid, but a little more firm than chewy. It still tasted pretty good. The curly fries were perfectly fried and surprisingly stays really crispy for a long period of time. I had them sit out for an hour and were still crispy. Perfectly seasoned too and they give a ton. Definitely enough to share with other people. Tea Amo offers a variety of drinks from basic milk/fruit teas to the more eccentric drinks. There are food options to get as well. There are 3 kiosks to place orders from and QR codes. The store has some sitting and dining areas. Service was quick and two employees made our drinks. The prices were slightly cheaper than boba drinks at San Jose. But the topping options were 10-15 cents higher. My ube matcha drink was sweet and the ube was a paste. I wish the plastic lid was redone instead of placing a plastic lid on top. It made shaking the drink harder. I didn't know until I got home and had to stir using a straw. The matcha powder was real and not the pale green powder. read more

Everything by so far has been great. Service is a little slow, the times I've come in and they're busy, there is jo recognition from the employees to let you know they will be right with you. They will finish an order first before attending to you. I've waited at the counter 5-10+ minutes before getting helped when easily the other employee can finish the order and another employee can take orders. Place is cute and small. It does smell like oil when you come in, not sure if the kitchen has good ventilation but the front door might want to be left open to air out. Haven't tried any food items for this specific reason. Service was eh, and it was pretty much empty on a Friday evening. For snacks, I tried their lemon pepper wings and popcorn chicken. I wished that they could mix and match at least 2 wing flavors because I really wanted to try the garlic parmesan as well, but that would had been too much food. The Crispy Spicy Calamari and Golden Fish Balls sounded really good as well, but I did not want to order too much food, since I just wanted a couple of snacks to go with my boba drinks. Anyway, the wings and popcorn chicken were not that great - they were both very salty. For drinks, I tried their jasmine milk tea with boba, Mango Stormy with boba, and Thai Tea. The milk tea was not that great - it was a bit bitter with a weird aftertaste. The swirls for the Mango Stormy caught my eye in one of their displayed menu photos, but I was not impressed with the actual taste of the drink because it tasted like a weird mango cream smoothie. The Thai tea was the decent drink out of the 3 drinks, but it would be pretty difficult to mess that drink up. read more

Passing through on travels, we randomly stopped by Tea Amo and we were so glad we did. A sweet family owns and runs this business. They keep their shop clean and bright. And their menu has good drinks to offer. I had the ube coffee which was made with a delicious strong coffee flavor and the ube wasn't too sweet. I loved it. We also had a ananas tea which was refreshing. Kind of reminded me of a lemon wintermelon flavor. Overall a wonderful drink place with great value. Honestly, this is one of my favorite boba places. I've never had their food, but I hear it's good, too. I've moved a couple of cities over, but I still drive all the way just to get their boba, and I love that they are never skimpy on the boba. They have a vast menu and super yummy drinks.
