The Vine has such an intimate atmosphere. The interior is beautifully designed, with aesthetic decor and a stunning display of their wine selection. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the spinach and artichoke dip with cauliflower bread, fig & prosciutto tartine, mushroom & feta tartine, chorizo mac and cheese, beef bourguignon, catch of the day, and the long-range pork chop. Every single dish was a 10/10. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying dessert--we had the Ghirardelli chocolate chip cookie, butterscotch pudding, and crème brûlée, and they were all just as amazing. Our server, Vanessa, was exceptional. She guided us through the menu and drink options and gave fantastic recommendations. The cocktails were also delicious. Was so good with the bread. I wiped the bowl clean. Will try their pasta and beef next time. Caymus was a really good cab. Definitely a good dining spot. The lamb was incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, though it was a little rich, so it was nice being able to switch back and forth with the French dip. Decided to start my evening at The Vine House for their "Social Hour"... (who doesn't love a happy hour?!) I've had this place bookmarked for the longest, so it was about time! It's really cute inside from the pretty chandeliers to the vines draped down from trellis heading toward the back. I had a glass of the Lava Cap Barbera, olives marinees and a mini chorizo mac. The French onion soup also sounded really good, but since this isn't my only stop for the evening, I asked the waitress what she would choose between that and the mac. The olives had a nice savory flavor with a hint of citrus. For the girl that used to hate olives, there wasn't a single one remaining in the bowl. The level of cheesiness AND crunch achieved on the mini mac was perfection. The cheese layer toasted across the top was my favorite bite... every bite! (Chorizo is also always a win!) The menu is seasonal, so though photos are posted, you can expect it to change. (Not sure how frequently, as this is my first time in!) Visited the restaurant on a Wednesday at 1130am and it wasn't very busy with only two other tables with customers. The inside has kind of a Tuscany type of vibe with a wine theme. Upon being seated, we were immediately greeted by our waitress and she promptly took our drink orders. After browsing the menu, I ordered the French dip. After ordering is the reason for only 4-stars. Although lunch time picked up with other customers, it took roughly 30 minutes for our food to arrive after ordering. I thought that was a little excessive considering the amount of customers at the time. Although our food took some time to arrive, the French dip looked great. It arrived with horseradish and au jus on the side. No other sides come with this dish unless specifically ordered. The French dip tasted as good as it looked. The bread was soft and fresh. It was slightly toasted which gave it a nice crunch. The meat was tasty and tender. The provolone cheese was a nice touch. If you visit The Vine House, I don't think you will leave disappointed. read more

When we first arrived, some ladies that were leaving stopped us. The more mature of the duo suggested the shrimp bordelaise... Deliciousness! Our server, (I'm assuming her name was Tessa because of our receipt but after the first drink, I forgot my own name) was very sweet! She suggested the Fig Brie Prosciutto Tartine. It was amazing! The dance of textures and flavors was something I think everyone should experience in life. We chose to sit outside. The weather was nice! There was a little speaker outside so we had music. She even gave us a little fan to fend off flies! 10/10. I definitely recommend. If you're going to sit inside, bring a sweater! read more

This is a cute little restaurant. Love the decor and it gives a low key romantic feel to it. It's small, but the menu has a bunch of flavorful items. Wish they had more drink selections, but they do have a bunch of wines to select from! The Mac and cheese was delicious. Very saucy and you can taste the truffle. It was good perfectly. We also got a little starter for the table, wasn't pictured here. It was the fig Brie prosciutto. It was okay since I'm not big on prosciutto. But the spread was delicious. The girls wanted to try it out so I said why not. We had a wonderful server who helped us out with the menu. She knew the menu and steered us the right way with that to order. This is the place to be. Best to make reservations, they are always full. Every dish I've had here is superb. The chefs are talented. I could tell you all my favorites but I'd just end up writing the menu out for you. The staff works hard and they do a great job at it. This little area in Ripon has some amazing food options and the Vine House is on the top of that list. From the cozy ambiance to the fantastic and attention service, this is one of my favorite restaurants to go to in Ripon. They change their menu weekly so my food review may not apply, but their quality is top notch. Also make sure to check their website for their opening hours as Yelp is currently not up to date. I came for dinner and brunch and personally my favorite item from the dinner was actually the French Dip ($19) and for Breakfast/Brunch the The Vine House Benedict ($17) was a 10/10 as well. The French Dip doesn't come with sides, but it's filling as is and they use really high quality cuts of meat. The melted provolone and the au jus were perfect. For their breakfast I also love their Benedict because they spread spinach artichoke dip on the english muffine and it really makes it better than your standard Benedict. I would for sure come back to Vine House every time whenever I can because the great quality and service is unmatched. read more

We came in today in hopes of tasting some wine and having a few appetizers. There isn't wine flights, and you are more than welcome to try different wines until you choose one of your liking. The restaurant is very small. I'm sure the outdoor space is utilized in the summer/ spring but the inside is very small. I recommend for you to set reservations because there isn't much space and there can be a wait . The waitress was friendly and was very knowledgeable with the menu and wine selection. She said the menu is updated weekly and food is local. We ordered a couple wines that were great and the Ghirardelli chocolate chip cookie dessert. Unfortunately, the cookie was over cooked. I was visiting with my parents for a pre-birthday celebration and I loved this spot! This wine bar has a small menu, but was very accomodating to my celiac disease. I was suprised at how many gluten free options they had. I inquired about the spinach and artichoke dip, and the waitress assured me the gluten free bread doesn't come into contact with gluten at all. It was PHENOMENAL! They also took care with my main dish - I ordered the special which was sea bass with roasted vegetables in a tomato butter sauce. I'm still dreaming about that meal! They have a fantastic selection of local and international wines, too! The inside is small and this spot is always busy so definitely get a reservation. Amazing service, food, and atmosphere. The following review is separate from the quality of the food or drinks. My wife and I had an open evening and wanted to go out to a different place for an evening drink and at most small plates. The Vine was advertised as open until 9pm, the door was open and we arrived at 8:10pm Understand that is cutting it close but the location was pretty full, I noticed 4-2 tables full along with patrons at the bar. The hostess came and told us "We're closed and not taking any more customers" I understand a business has the right to refuse service but we could not enjoy a couple of drinks within a 50-minute window especially when it was already 30-40% full? My friend and neighbor loves showing me new places to eat in the valley. This has been on her list for a while and we finally came a week or so ago. We came in the early evening time and did not have reservations but got lucky and grabbed the last 2 spots at the bar. The bartenders were amazing and the nicest folks I've met. I had the special which was a pasta with different types of seafood. I also had to order some cake to go. The pasta was great and it was really nice to chill at the bar, watch the tv, and enjoy a nice dinner with beautiful weather.
