Visiting my family in Patterson. My brother, knowing I'm into great food ! Suggest the old water office. One look at the menu and I said let's go. From the moment we walked in I was reminded of our trip to Sevilla Spain last year. Beautiful!! The bar had me wanting to scrap the table and belly up ! We started with the grilled octopus .. one of the best I've tried. From Spain to Mexico this could go head to head ! Well done We had a half beet and Burrata salad. Delicious. Both had the rib eye, with probably the best au gratin potatoes I've ever had. And my wife's used to be my favorite! Cheesy spinach as our side. Could have used some salt, but that's just me. Dinner here is consistently great. I enjoy the inside ambience but I really love the patio. Even when it's cold outside, dining near the fire is comfortable and such a vibe. The Old Water Office in Patterson is absolutely worth the drive -- seriously, make the trip... you won't be disappointed! The space itself is stunning, inside and out. Being part of the original building makes it even cooler, and you can really feel the care the owners put into every detail. The family artwork throughout the restaurant and the personal touches everywhere had me obsessed. The outdoor area and new event center are beautiful -- I already can't wait to come back when the weather warms up! We made a reservation (highly recommend) and were seated promptly. Our server, Jaden, was amazing -- attentive, knowledgeable, and very familiar with the menu. Top-tier service all around. Now let's talk food... because WOW. First off, the wine selection is excellent. We started with the lamb lollipops, cooked perfectly -- tender, juicy, and paired with a yogurt dill sauce that was incredible. We also shared the chargrilled octopus, which was beautifully grilled and packed with flavor. For our main, we ordered one of the specials: Chilean sea bass with black imperial rice, romanesco, and a saffron citrus cream sauce. It was almost too pretty to eat -- but even better tasting. Every flavor came together perfectly. Of course, we had to finish strong with dessert -- the cinnamon bread pudding and lemon blueberry cheesecake were the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. The decor and atmosphere is soooo cool! There is so much to look at. Everything is intricate with such attention to detail. Our server was very kind, attentive, and prompt. We got the lamb lollipops to start, the seafood paella, and the pork schnitzel. Unfortunately, none of our food was very good. Another thing worth mentioning-- we went for our anniversary, and basing off of our previous anniversary dinner experiences, were disappointed that there was no complimentary dessert or glass of champagne for the celebration. The owner/s / management were so nice greeted us with warm welcome. And our waiter was great i wished I would've gotten his name but super attentive the best customer service!! And the FOOD. I think is a great restaurant! Just what Patterson needs. I had the spaghetti Carbonara. It was good! We also had clam chowder, Halibut, lamb lollipops, and a paella, and a couple of drinks. I really enjoyed the guava panna cotta at the end. No complaints, we thought the food was flavorful. We were sitting outside and it got a little chilly, the servers were kind and let us move inside. The service was absolutely elite Nikki. Our waiter was well knowledge on the menu and made it very comfortable for us to sit and read. I asked for her recommendations and she gave us her best opinion and they were great hands-down great service all around she was very attentive and also was very pleasant to be around. It's always nice when you see people that are great at what they do for a living in love where they work it makes it splendid place to be all around. The experience did not disappoint. The infamous Redwood Cafe from Modesto(that is in the process of relocating to Lathrop) opened this location in Patterson. The food, selection, perfection and service were amazing. The grounds are perfect with summer around the corner and if dining outside doesn't interest you the ambience inside is warm and environs. My little family and I visited this past Sunday for dinner. Service was amazing. I unfortunately did not catch her name but she was very attentive and super sweet. The owner came and said hello to us and made sure we were doing okay. Appetizers- Lamb Lollipops 1000/10 (Our almost 1 year old LOVED it. He's the real food critic here) Meatballs 100/10 Short ribs: 7/10 Spaghetti Carbonara: 8.5/10 Short ribs were good considering I am usually a person who doesn't like short ribs because they're usually overcooked but it was perfectly cooked. I must say I am very thrilled this place opened up so close to us. The whole restaurant is gorgeous and very inviting. The ONLY bone I have to pick is the fact that the women's restroom did not have a changing table for the littles. Now that I have a baby I tend to notice more when places don't have them. There's a lot of things to like and there's things that weren't so great. The ambience is beautiful. They had a man playing the guitar and singing and that was nice. The building is beautiful. My friends sausage flatbread was delicious. But I got the chicken parmesan. And the chicken itself is huge and it's cooked perfectly and it's very crispy. And when I say it's huge it's the size of the plate and the plate is huge. But it's on this giant bed of the worst noodles. I think it's bucatini? So the noodles are really really thick. And for noodle that big you need good flavor in the sauce. And I feel like the sauce had very little flavor and very little sauce. It was like eating chicken parmesan on a bed of just noodles. I think it would have been better paired with a lighter noodle. There was almost no tomato sauce on the chicken parmesan and then the noodles had a cream sauce. I thought it would have been okay if the noodles aren't so dry or Bland. It's a giant piece of chicken it really is! The breading is great. It's just the noodles and the sauce fell short of flavorful. Which made it not worth it to me. It's good if you just want to eat the chicken off the top of it but if you want a full meal it misses the mark. I took it home put some sauce on the noodles it was great. But do you really want your customers to have to do that? I would like to sit down and say that was great. I would go there again and get that flatbread but I would not go back for the chicken parmesan. read more

Visited this evening for the first time. RIck, our waiter was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and after dinner the General Manager, Jerry gave us a tour of the upstairs and some history as well. Then the Chef whose name is Pedro came and introduced himself and inquired how we liked dinner. I must admit it takes a lot to impress me but I am SUPER impressed by the ambiance, the staff and the food! Been living in Patterson for 20+ years and we really needed this restaurant. Having grown up here I am so happy to see we finally have some fine dining. The restaurant is beautiful, peaceful and fun at the same time. Service was friendly and prompt despite it being a Saturday night and busy. We really enjoyed the short rib. We will go back for that. It was fantastic. We also enjoyed the bread pudding and Affogato. The Porchetta appetizer was good but not something I would feel compelled to order again. The Paella Mar y Montaña came out quickly (menu says 45 min wait but it is much quicker, maybe 20 minutes) but we were not fans. We have never had Paella before so it is very possible it is really good to someone who enjoys Paella. Overall, super satisfied and plan to come back. read more

First time I was able to try the food from The Old Water Office was on Christmas Eve.. I m disabled and had to order the food to go for my sister to pick up. They had my favorite Christmas dinner, prime rib. Everyone I talked with on the phone was very accommodating and I loved the friendly service. When I received the dinner I was disappointed on the portion size. Usually, the cut of the prime rib is thick. - an inch or 3/4 inch. This however was less than 1/2 inch. The seasoning and au jus was fabulous and I could order a glass of the au jus. The baked potato had a thin layer of cheese with some bacon on it but no additional butter or sour cream was included in the Togo box which led to a plain potato. The asparagus was fresh and cooked nicely. The chef has talent, but the meal was very small for the $59 price. I paid $55 for the prime rib at Tavern on the Green in New York and it was huge. I would like to see improvement in their to go packages. Even Dennys includes a napkin and condiments with the order, theirs did not. read more

My husband and I love The Old Water Office. We had a date night here for dinner last night. We were greeted with a very warm welcome by a nice gal that opened the door for us. I can't remember what her name was, but she had long pretty blonde hair. Jerry greeted us with a warm welcome as we walked towards the host stand. We had dinner reservations for 5:30 p.m., but wanted to hangout at the bar for drinks when we arrived at around 4:00 p.m.. Chris was our bartender. Chris was amazing. We loved his personality, customer service etiquette, great humor, knowledge of the area, building, restaurant, food, and beverages. We ordered drinks, half salads, and appetizers to start off with. We ended up loving Chris so much that we decided to stay at the bar for our dinner! Jerry and Chris treated us like we were family, it was a very special experience. We appreciated all of the hospitality and generosity that they had given. We loved everything we ordered. The Thursday crowd in the cocktail area were so fun and friendly. We can't wait to come back. The hype on this place is real!! I have heard a lot of anticipation on this restaurant and I understand now why. All the food that we ordered were excellent. It was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The decor of the restaurant was top notch, no wonder it took them 2 years to build it. They are a great addition to downtown since it would bring a lot of patrons from out of town. The service was ok. Which is why I docked one star. I needed to ask for refill all the time for my drinks but no big deal. The server made suggestions which we followed and it was spot on!
