We stopped in for brunch and quickly discovered that this place is no secret. It was super busy, which is usually a pretty good indication that they're doing something right! Fortunately, we had used OpenTable to make a reservation and were seated right away. The brunch menu offered a great selection, with plenty of choices to satisfy just about anyone. The service was excellent, especially considering how busy they were. We had read several positive reviews before visiting, and I'm happy to report that those folks were right on the money. I particularly enjoy seeing older buildings given a new purpose rather than simply being forgotten. Combine that character with good food, great service, and a lively atmosphere, and you've got something special. The Old Water Office is definitely one of Patterson's little gems. This place can accommodate large groups, parties, or just a date night for two. Service - The service was great! Friendly staff and they kept on top of everything. No complaints here. Food - The food was great. I got the surf and turf paella which was very good. For some reason mine did not have mussels like the menu stated, unsure if that was an oversight or maybe just a slight modification from the chef. Everyone else seemed to really like their food too. Short ribs got high praise along with the pork milanese. Their pasta is made in-house and looked wonderful too.
