Their wine is good and they have a great selection. They always have discounted wines as well as wine boxes if you are traveling or want one for a day on the beach. During this particular visit, I was seeking out a certain percentage within a wine of 13% or less content. Into my luck at this location had two to choose from which range at a 13.5 but I wasn't too picky about the .5 lol! The lady that assisted us allowed me to taste one of the wines as it was already readily available and open, and the other choice that I chose to go with was not open, but was one of more of the sweeter red wines that they had. The pricing was really good as well as I paid under $20 for the particular wine. I am more of a white wine drinker, but I recently switched over to a red wine only due to watching my sugar intake. Very, very clean and nice establishment upon driving up parking and entering. I really like how they have the area set up with lots of items on display whether it's gifts or simply looking at each wine bottle or sitting down and having a tasting. There were also restrooms off to the side for those that are having a little bit more of a lengthy visit. Lots of selection to choose from and they are open daily for anyone that enjoys wine tasting if you just so happen to be traveling down the highway 99. I noticed that they are doing a lot of digging of holes around their establishment so they may be getting ready to plant more vines to establish more wine selection and or choices but I had forgotten to ask while there. But that does not prevent anyone from getting to their establishment and having a visit.

We ordered a variety of dishes, including the spinach and artichoke dip with cauliflower bread, fig & prosciutto tartine, mushroom & feta tartine, chorizo mac and cheese, beef bourguignon, catch of the day, and the long-range pork chop. Every single dish was a 10/10. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying dessert--we had the Ghirardelli chocolate chip cookie, butterscotch pudding, and crème brûlée, and they were all just as amazing. Our server, Vanessa, was exceptional. She guided us through the menu and drink options and gave fantastic recommendations. The cocktails were also delicious. We have no complaints and will definitely be back!

The restaurant is connected to (or at least shares a building with) the casino, so parking can be a little tricky. Most of the lot was full when we arrived, and I ended up parking on the street. Inside, it's really cute. They have a great wine display right when you walk in, a cozy dining area, and a small outdoor patio that looked like a nice spot to sit. Service was good. Nothing over the top, but friendly and exactly what you'd expect. The menu sounded fantastic, which made me really excited. We ordered oysters, lobster bisque, filet mignon, scallop pasta, lobster mac and cheese, and I had an Old Fashioned. The oysters and bisque were both okay, the filet and pasta were decent, but honestly nothing really stood out. The biggest disappointment was the lobster mac and cheese. If you love lobster mac like I do and always order it when it's on the menu, I'd skip this one. It wasn't really mac and cheese at all. The sauce didn't taste cheesy, the presentation wasn't appealing, and it ended up being one of my least favorite versions I've had. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with a good atmosphere, but the food just didn't wow me. If someone invited me back for another celebration, I'd happily go. It just wouldn't be my first choice if I were picking the restaurant myself.

The inside is very classy chic with a Mexican twist . I went during the week so it was happy hour . Their happy hour is pretty sweet ! It's from Monday - Friday 4-6 pm, Dine-In Only . They offered $10 drinks and also $10 appetizers. I ended up getting their tacos de papa from their happy hour, which is two tacos, but they are very fulfilling. They're very delicious and I did not see them in the regular menu so if you go during happy hour, it's definitely a must try. I also ordered Jesse's favorite, which is a Chile that looks like a chille relleno, but it's not instead of the egg it has a cream sauce on top and inside it has ground beef . My dad ordered the fajitas which they came with a side of cilantro rice and beans and also all the fixings like guacamole and stuff. Let me tell you the fajitas meal was huge. You could definitely share it with somebody else. I have to say their portions are very generous. For drinks they have beers margaritas my mother had a Chavela, which is beer with lime. I'm not a big tequila fan, but they do have a full bar so I just changed the dirty linen drink for Gin instead of tequila and it was very delicious . The service everyone was really nice and attentive. Overall, we had a great dinner my family and I we had a lot of food and a lot of good laughs. I would definitely come back. I have to say I love their tacos de Papa and for them being on happy hour it's a win-win.

An Unforgettable Birthday Celebration in Downtown Livermore!…read more We came to Locanda Wine Bar in downtown Livermore on a Friday evening to celebrate my wife's birthday with friends, and we had an absolute blast! The vibe here is lively, fun, and vibrant. Reservations are definitely highly recommended since it gets so popular. The entire staff is awesome, but a massive shout-out goes to our waitress, Ashley--she was fantastic and provided incredible service throughout the entire night! We ordered a wide variety of dishes to share, and every single one was a hit: * Fritto Marechiaro: A wonderful mix of fresh calamari, jumbo prawns, sliced zucchini, and artichoke hearts. Everything was fried to a light, crispy perfection and paired wonderfully with the signature Locanda Capri sauce. * Pane e Olive: Crisp, fresh baguette from local Wingen Bakery served alongside Locanda's classic olive tapenade. Rich, savory, and the perfect starter bite. * Fiori di Zucca: Delicate zucchini blossoms stuffed with creamy ricotta and mozzarella, served over a rich marinara sauce. These were absolutely delicious and melted in your mouth. * Penne alla Vodka: Tender penne pasta tossed with smoked mozzarella, Parmesan, and cracked pepper in a rich, creamy vodka pink sauce. Yummy and comforting! * Parmigiana di Melanzane: Mamma Carmela's famous eggplant parmigiana layered with melted mozzarella and tomato sauce. Hearty, warm, and bursting with authentic Italian flavor. * Pollo Piccata: Tender organic chicken breast served in a bright, zesty lemon-butter sauce with Sicilian capers, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and rainbow baby carrots. * Branzino Locanda: Fresh Mediterranean seabass filet lightly breaded with panko and topped with a bright lemon sauce, served with velvety mashed potatoes and rainbow baby carrots. Delicately crispy on the outside and wonderfully flaky inside. * Polpette della Mamma: Homemade beef meatballs cooked to tender perfection, served in a rich marinara sauce with Parmesan cheese and crisp crostini for dipping. Warm, comforting, and packed with flavor. * Beet Salad: A crisp, refreshing mix of wild baby arugula, mixed greens, sweet golden and red beets, tangy goat cheese crumbles, and juicy blood orange slices. * Espresso Martini & Wine: The drinks were top-tier. The espresso martini was amazing, bold, and perfectly balanced. We also ordered a bottle of Collefasani Bacchanalia Falerno del Massico Bianco D.O.C., which was served perfectly chilled--crisp, refreshing, and not too sweet. * Almond Cheesecake: For dessert, we treated ourselves to the almond cheesecake. It was rich, creamy, and served with fresh strawberries and whipped cream--the ideal sweet note to wrap up the night. Overall, it was a fantastic evening filled with great energy, outstanding hospitality, and incredible food. I highly recommend Locanda Wine Bar for a celebration, a night out with friends, or a memorable family meal!

Their staff is amazing, but the dinners are a zero, chicken is dry, meat is under cooked and sides are hard to discribe. The cost for their dinners are $$$$ and not worth $ at best. This is not the first dinner I have had there, last dinner was a fish dinner (in their pleasanton location) Cold and soggy with raw vegetables Horrible!!
