I told him I was record and he slapped the phone out of my hand and told me to get the fuck out of there. The only time she became attentive was when our plates were stacked and our cups were empty. Watching a good employee feel forced to leave because of the atmosphere created by management was beyond disappointing. You can have a great bar, great customers, and an amazing staff, but a bad boss can make the environment so uncomfortable that good employees no longer feel they can stay. Being in charge doesn't automatically make someone a good leader. Good managers communicate, respect their employees, recognize the people who actually contribute to the success of the business, and create a positive workplace. I still love this bar and the people who make it what it is. My problem is with the management and the atmosphere they've created. The staff deserves better, and frankly, so does the bar.
