This is my 2nd visit. My 1st visit was on a Sunday during brunch during September 2021. We were walk-ins and were able to get a table outdoors for 3. Weather was fantastic. I had a blushing mimosa, followed by their house sangria. Their brie cheese and dried fruit plate was yummy. There was live music too which just made the vibe enjoyable. Our friend who was with us ordered a wine and was asked if he wanted to try it first. He declined since he already tried that vintage. Lol. My 2nd visit was last Friday evening and showed up about 30 min after they opened. I was looking forward to sitting outdoors but was disappointed that we couldn't because they were setting up for an event and also other tables were reserved. I had been on their website during the last couple weeks and hadn't seen anything about recommending reservations otherwise I would've made one. Anyways, we were seated inside. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise because the musician eventually showed up outside and was a bit loud for us to have a conversation. it was a bit cold and only a couple tables had a fire outside, so I would have been cold. I loved my sangria and it was large, so, that was all I could drink. The caprese salad was probably my favorite dish. The huge fresh mozzarella ball in the center was so creamy. The pepperoni flatbread was good. The crab cakes were a little dry but tasty. The brie cheese and dried fruit and nuts is always a safe choice. Can't go wrong there! My husband had a couple beers and was offered a taste on his 2nd round to see which one of the two he liked. My sister had a couple different wines but wasn't asked if she wanted to try before ordering. She knows what she likes but I think it should've been offered. Overall, I'd come again!

My husband and I decided to stop in after our movie. I had a Bombay Sapphire martini and it was perfection! My husband had a Stella Artois beer and a glass of the Belle Gloss Dairyman. We both had a salad to start, a Caesar and wedge. Both were very good. We each had a flatbread, margarita and pepperoni. We sat at the bar and met the owners Tammy and Randy. What a fun time. There was a band playing on the patio and they were excellent!! We will definitely return!!

Came here for an event and got great service for a party of 25+. We mainly ordered drinks but the food that we had was solid -- a step up from bar snacks but not a full restaurant selection. They have a good amount of indoor space but also a nice outdoor area. The waiters were able to successfully keep track of multiple bills and also kept checking on us routinely. Only suggestion would be to add some fans or covering outside for the hot summer days in Tracy.

I have to start off by saying come here for the drinks because the food is a hit or miss! My husband ordered the meatball pasta and the meatball was so hard that he couldn't cut into it. He had to flip it over and attempt to cut it from the side that had been sitting in a bed of marinara that was so grainy that had to come straight from a jar of Prego. My chicken alfredo was decent but some pieces of chicken were hard and had fatty pieces. Also, we were a group of 12 and it took well over an hour to receive our food. When the food started to come out, some folks got their meals 15 minutes after others. I was disappointed because we did indeed enjoy the atmosphere. We sat outside with a group of friends and started on drinks that were really good. I'm hoping they just had an awful day but the meatball pasta still haunts me!

Aaron's special and a fantastic glass of Chardonnay that was recommended by Nicole (bartender).

Literally my favorite bar/restaurant in Tracy! Tammy & Randy (owners) are some of the nicest and most attentive owners you'll ever meet. Very good food and great wine but they also serve tasty cocktails and beer on tap. Tammy is the wine whisperer (always has a great wine recommendation!) and Randy is the foodie. Between their super attentive service and their staff's friendliness (Nicole + Gail are awesome!) you can't go wrong.

Great place to sit and relax and have a glass of wine or one of the craft brew on tap. Wish they still had the live jazz I've seen in the past. Service was great and everyone was very nice.

I was trying to figure out what to do for our daughter's 13th birthday that wasn't too "little kid" themed and thought maybe we could do an early dinner before your typical crowd comes in. When I looked at your website it was like it was meant to be that ON her birthday you were having your special event. It was perfect. Food- she still prefers her safe food so her meal was the Golden Arches ;) but thank you for letting us bring it in for her. For mom and dad- this time instead of just appetizers we opted for an appetizer (garlic bread), and two main dishes: the pernil and the creamy chicken pasta. Everything was delicious. My husband took one bite of the pernil and I heard him say "oh yeah" lol. My chicken pasta was flavorful and had plenty of veggies and chicken and the portion was perfect for me to have leftovers at home. That garlic bread though-- you are not kidding around with that! It was very tasty! Thank you for the little birthday dessert, while we knew she wouldn't eat it, it was important for her to have the candle/singing experience. Then of course she made us eat it. (And yes it was also delicious.) Hope we can return on other nights both with our daughter and if ever possible for a mom and dad date night. There are many other dishes we want to try.

An Unforgettable Birthday Celebration in Downtown Livermore!…read more We came to Locanda Wine Bar in downtown Livermore on a Friday evening to celebrate my wife's birthday with friends, and we had an absolute blast! The vibe here is lively, fun, and vibrant. Reservations are definitely highly recommended since it gets so popular. The entire staff is awesome, but a massive shout-out goes to our waitress, Ashley--she was fantastic and provided incredible service throughout the entire night! We ordered a wide variety of dishes to share, and every single one was a hit: * Fritto Marechiaro: A wonderful mix of fresh calamari, jumbo prawns, sliced zucchini, and artichoke hearts. Everything was fried to a light, crispy perfection and paired wonderfully with the signature Locanda Capri sauce. * Pane e Olive: Crisp, fresh baguette from local Wingen Bakery served alongside Locanda's classic olive tapenade. Rich, savory, and the perfect starter bite. * Fiori di Zucca: Delicate zucchini blossoms stuffed with creamy ricotta and mozzarella, served over a rich marinara sauce. These were absolutely delicious and melted in your mouth. * Penne alla Vodka: Tender penne pasta tossed with smoked mozzarella, Parmesan, and cracked pepper in a rich, creamy vodka pink sauce. Yummy and comforting! * Parmigiana di Melanzane: Mamma Carmela's famous eggplant parmigiana layered with melted mozzarella and tomato sauce. Hearty, warm, and bursting with authentic Italian flavor. * Pollo Piccata: Tender organic chicken breast served in a bright, zesty lemon-butter sauce with Sicilian capers, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and rainbow baby carrots. * Branzino Locanda: Fresh Mediterranean seabass filet lightly breaded with panko and topped with a bright lemon sauce, served with velvety mashed potatoes and rainbow baby carrots. Delicately crispy on the outside and wonderfully flaky inside. * Polpette della Mamma: Homemade beef meatballs cooked to tender perfection, served in a rich marinara sauce with Parmesan cheese and crisp crostini for dipping. Warm, comforting, and packed with flavor. * Beet Salad: A crisp, refreshing mix of wild baby arugula, mixed greens, sweet golden and red beets, tangy goat cheese crumbles, and juicy blood orange slices. * Espresso Martini & Wine: The drinks were top-tier. The espresso martini was amazing, bold, and perfectly balanced. We also ordered a bottle of Collefasani Bacchanalia Falerno del Massico Bianco D.O.C., which was served perfectly chilled--crisp, refreshing, and not too sweet. * Almond Cheesecake: For dessert, we treated ourselves to the almond cheesecake. It was rich, creamy, and served with fresh strawberries and whipped cream--the ideal sweet note to wrap up the night. Overall, it was a fantastic evening filled with great energy, outstanding hospitality, and incredible food. I highly recommend Locanda Wine Bar for a celebration, a night out with friends, or a memorable family meal!

By the end of the planning process, I had unofficially promoted her to honorary bridesmaid status. When we arrived, Valeria and Kayla were fantastic. They immediately jumped into "surprise mode," graciously playing along by checking us in at the host stand and escorting us to our table without giving anything away. Their teamwork helped keep the bride-to-be completely unsuspecting until she walked into a room full of family and friends. Valeria also accommodated my request to play a millennial throwback playlist, and every hit had us singing along--it was the perfect soundtrack for the afternoon. I visited La Loulou several months ago and wanted to give it some time before writing a review…read more After recently having a wonderful experience at another wine bar, I realized the difference in hospitality was too significant not to mention. I really wanted to like this place. I'd walked by several times and loved the interior design, and the videos on Instagram made it seem like such a great spot. I stopped in one evening by myself, ordered a glass of wine and the warm olives (which were delicious), and was looking forward to a relaxing night. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest disappointment. The restaurant was packed, and the atmosphere felt more concerned with maintaining an image than making guests feel welcome. I understand some restaurants embrace a more reserved European style of service, but this came across as cold and pretentious rather than intentional hospitality. As a solo diner especially, I didn't feel acknowledged or valued as a guest. It also didn't help that the dining room had a noticeable body odor smell that took away from the experience. On a positive note, the bathroom was clean and beautifully designed. I originally thought this would become my go-to place to grab a glass of wine while waiting for a table at the ramen spot next door, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Reading through other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one who had this impression. Oakland's charm has always been its people. You can open a French-inspired wine bar, but hospitality translates into every language. If you're going to bring a Parisian aesthetic to Oakland, don't mistake indifference for sophistication. Guests should leave feeling welcomed, not judged.
