This was our favorite place to go eat & we went a lot too! But the last few months the food has drastically changed here for the worse! It's no longer the same food! The Big Crispy Chicken is like 1/4" cutlet patty if even & not the full Crispy Chicken Breast it formally was! The steaks are paper thin too we have ordered & look like Skirt Steaks now! Even the thick cut Porterhouse was like a Skirt steak! The Queso Cheese dip was all curdled & yucky the last two orders we have trued! The Salads I quit ordering months ago as I have had black slimy lettuce in them the last few times I ordered it so quit ordering them The Guacamole changes too & is hot with jalapeño diced in it now now so can't eat it What the heck happened? I know they said they have changed some of their food suppliers & the portions sizes on their food But If it ain't broke don't fix it! I visited Chili's Grill & Bar on a Friday night, and it was definitely busy, so you know it's a popular spot! I ordered the Nashville hot fried mozzarella, and my husband got the fried mozzarella with honey barbecue. Both were really tasty, but wow... definitely on the salty side For my entrée, I had the Cajun shrimp pasta. It had great flavor and was enjoyable, but again, a little too salty for my taste. Overall, it was a good experience with yummy food, just something I'd probably enjoy every once in a while rather than all the time. Still worth a visit! read more

Such a great spot with excellent service, comfortable atmosphere and good deals. They have a deal here that blows away many other places. It's the three for me where you can get a main entree, soup or salad, and drink with unlimited refills for 10.99. Also the kids meals are a good deal too for 6.99 which comes with an entree, one side and a drink. Finally if you join their club you can always get free chips and salsa. Bathrooms are clean and they have comfortable booths that are pretty large and spacious. They also have multiple televisions with games playing. The employees are so friendly and attentive here. My family and I came here for dinner last Saturday evening. It had been several years since we last came here. We arrived around 7pm or so and there was no wait for the 5 of us. We got seated immediately. If you join their rewards program, you get free chips & salsa. There was a small kiosk at the table, so I used that to sign up. You just have to remember to add the free chips & salsa reward when you're checking out/paying your bill. A lot of the items on the menu looked really good. I ultimately went with the Crispy Chicken Crispers Combo. I chose to get 4 tenders and for sauces, I chose the House BBQ and Honey Mustard. This dish was good. I loved how it was personalizable and it had a variety of items, including fries! The chips & salsa were really good. It was simple but classic. The chips were thin and crispy. The place was busy but not swamped. My wife was craving a Mushroom Burger and I decided to try their special 3 for $10.99. I ordered their Old Timer Burger w/Fries and it came with an appetizer (small salad was my choice - decent side salad) and this also included a drink. My wife really enjoyed her Mushroom Burger and fries. The service was really good and the staff was very attentive. The restaurant was clean and very well kept up. I've had previous experiences that were great so I'm hoping today was a one off. We first ordered the chips and cheese....... Omg so extremely salty that we wouldn't even eat the chips!!! The salsa was very delicious though. We then got our meals. 2 kids meals (quesadilla and chicken tenders, a buffalo chicken sandwich and fajitas). The kids meals are a STEAL! Under $7 and that includes a drink! The buffalo chicken was delicious but the fajitas weren't edible. We got chicken and steak fajitas and the chicken was bland (but edible) however the steak tastes like old microwaved steak. We had old piece and wanted to vomit. I rarely say anything about my food but I just had to mention it. the manager came and was the nicest guy!!!!! He immediately took it off our bill even though that was not our request and asked if we wanted anything else. He was understanding and attentive and this reason will be the only reason that I might return to Chili's again in hopes for less salty and fresh food. Wow. I haven't eaten at Chilis in probably a good 20 years? I decided I wanted to try it after hearing about their comeback last year so I was curious. I am impressed! The food is delicious and at a decent price! I got their triple dipper with the big bites (sliders), boneless buffalo chicken wings, and mozzarella sticks. The cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks were amazing! I found the buffalo wings a bit salty but the big bites were hearty. Everything tasted so good. We also got the full rack of baby ribs with white cheddar mac and cheese and fries. The ribs were juicy and tender, BBQ sauce was tangy, mac and cheese seemed a bit over cooked but the flavor was so creamy and cheesy and you can't go wrong with the fries. If you haven't been to Chilis in awhile I'd definitely recommend you go and give them a try again. Very solid restaurant and good food! read more

Left chilis upset last night. We came into chilis a little after 7pm. We decided to sit at the bar to get a drink and order food. Our server take our drink orders and then comes back and we order our food he takes the menu and goes on his computer then comes back and brings our utensils. We figured our orders are in and we just need to wait. Comes to 8:30pm and we asked how much longer on our food as we noticed everyone around us got theirs even the people that came in after us. Chili's customer service has gone down at this location. Usually we do curbside pick up orders but the few times we have decided to eat at the restaurant the service hasn't been too good. On Saturday, June 1st @ around 1:44pm, my family and I went to eat to celebrate my son's baseball season. We walked in with a family before us, they spoke to the hostess and then she walked away. We waited about ten minutes or so before the hostess acknowledged us. We asked for a booth and she rudely told us we couldn't sit at a booth because none were available. We decided to not eat at the restaurant because I refuse to spend my money at an establishment that cannot bother to treat its customers with great customer service. Despite the party, the restaurant wasn't too noisy - low hum that you would expect. Seated immediately, waitress came by soon after to get drink orders and ask about apps. We got drinks quickly, and ordered soon after, and within - I want to say 15 minutes (20 after walking in the door) we had our food. The chips were warm and fresh, salsa delicious, margarita idk if I'm a light weight but a good amount of tequila (a + obviously). All entrees were delicious, fries were crispy, chicken was juicy and crunchy, Mom said the Smash Burger was the best burger she's ever had, and grandmother had no complaints (which was a miracle). Hannah, our waitress, was very attentive and on top of it. Came here for Father's Day since roadhouse was a circus. We live in Manteca and have always had great experiences at that location, as well as the Modesto one. Came here tonight to kill some time waiting for my boys to get home from a dance. Fast service, our waiter was friendly and attentive.. I usually always ask for my babies meal to be brought out as quickly as possible and you would be surprised at home many places will bring it out last even after asking. Tonight it was brought out immediately which made this momma happy. We ordered an appetizer (the trio sauces with chips) salsa was okay (a bit acidic fir my taste), the skillet (cheese) was my favorite, and guacamole (needed spice or just more flavor, just tasted like avocado). For my entrée I ordered the crispy chicken with honey chipotle sauce. It's more spicy that i expected (honey), but had a good flavor. It came with fries and Mac & white cheese. My family and I order chili's to go pretty frequently & the past few times we've ordered togo the food has not been good. We ordered one Sante Fe chicken salad and the chicken chipotle bowl. The Sante Fe chicken salad was missing the ranch dressing (as always) and the avacados on top were very dark and nasty. The lettuce on the bottom was welted and going bad. You can't tell me who prepared this didn't notice the black avacados and rotten lettuce? The Chipotle chicken bowl had the same issue. Rotten lettuce, black avacados and the whole bowl was soggy. I couldn't even eat it. I should've took the food back to Chili's but I didn't have the energy. I am officially done ordering from them.
