This location is one of the last standing businesses in the Tracy Mall. Honestly probably carrying the mall at this point, alongside the Cinemark. The food court is now mostly quiet and very empty, so not a lot of noise compared to maybe a decade ago. I have came to this Charley's probably around 20 times and finally going to give them a review. Although the price is a little up there, it's worth that value due to good portions. Not once have they messed up my order, and food is always good. Love their lemonades too. Service is decent, not the best, but it passes the basics. Employees greet you, take your order, and thank you for your business. Simple and done. Oh, and they're pretty fast too. Employees were friendly but the employee that took my order didn't know which combo I wanted by the number. He had to look behind him on the display board. A childhood staple. One of the places keeping this mall alive to be honest! Always love to see Charley's thrive. Definitely a little pricey as the years has passed, but they are single-handedly running West Valley Mall so we don't complain. Can't go wrong with a Philly cheesesteak. On their beautiful bread. With their provolone cheese. Great ratio of grilled onions to MLT (mayo, lettuce, and tomato). Always upgrade the fries in the combo to a cheese and bacon. We had arrived at 7:30 and it said online that they close at 8 but the employee said, "we close in 6 minutes... or earlier depending on how we feel or if it's not busy." I hate to give this place a poor review but the employees need to be reassessed if this is a daily type of behavior they have towards customers... It felt like a humiliation ritual to even go up and ask for a cup of water or a side of sauce. The service is great. It's fast food, so it is greasy, but man oh man it's salty. If you have high blood pressure or you're on the verge of high blood pressure, don't eat there. The employees here are really friendly. They do everything with what looks like a smile behind their masks! My biggest complaint is just the price. I think I paid around $36 for three small sandwiches with fries and one large lemonade. The lemonade was free though because I used one of the rewards on the Charley's Cheesesteaks app, which I highly recommend if you're stopping by here! There's always some kind of deal to help decreases costs, but that was $36 including the free lemonade. The food quality here is better than your usual fast food restaurant though so that's a plus. The thing I appreciate the most about our local Charleys is that they are consistent: Consistently pleasant and efficient staff, and consistently good food. I have yet to end up with cold, soggy fries or a poorly made sandwich. The "regular" cheesesteak is my go-to: full of flavor and has just the right balance of meaty goodness, gooey cheese, and just enough grilled onion, mushroom and bell pepper to be present, but not too much where you're like "I thought this was supposed to be a cheese-STEAK sandwich, not a 'bell pepper with a hint of beef' one." They're more than happy to add or remove anything you like, so if you don't want tomatoes but would like an extra dollop of mayo, they've got you covered. They're also FAST. This place is alright for being inside a mall food court I would say it's probably one of the better options. Slightly ironic that they are located right next door to Subway which always has less people lining up for food. My regular choice is the Turkey Cheddar Melt but the Ultimate Club is also pretty good and they're a decent size too, half is enough for a light Lunch. 2.5 Upon deciding which place in the food court to try during lunch, this place caught my eye. They cooked it to order which is always a plus and I waited only 5 minutes. However the food itself was a little subpar compared to the cheese steak shack franchise and other places I have been to before. I got the cheese steak deluxe (+peppers and onions to the regular) and I felt they kinda skimped on the meat. The meat itself was kinda chewy and not really fresh IMO. I was desperately thirsty so adding the fries and drink combo for another 2.89 was another setback. I also felt pretty gross and the desire to work out after eating my sandwich.
