We came in for a Thursday lunch and the place wasn't super busy but had several tables . Parking was easy for us as the alley by the restaurant had a parking lot with plenty of space. There were plenty of people working so the service was great and we got seated right away. We skipped starters as we saw the portions looked bigger. My husband ordered - alcohol mix drinks. He loves the first one but didn't like the old fashion - it was to sweet, to much ice, and if you've had an old fashioned you should know it shouldn't look like a mixed drink that's pink/orangish However food was so so amazing. My husband said the pasta has been the best he's had in a while- he had some spicy pasta. The food here is delicious and I really like reading about the history and why the owner decided to open a restaurant like this in Tracy. The walls of the restaurant pay homage to the farms surrounding this city with pictures of farm workers and equipment. It's a really cool vibe. Also the manager is really nice and welcoming so we enjoy coming here for the great service. The hosts and servers were friendly and attentive as well. The carne asada fries are so good here! A great combination of everything you want on these fries. The burger with the Mac and cheese also a winner. The onion rings were good too. Back in town to see my family, we went to lunch here. The food was delicious. The service was very nice, but we had 4 different people ask us 7 times how everything was. I should have had a clue about the food when they brought our appetizer out in a fast food cardboard container. I ordered the steak and when I say it was the worst steak I have ever had I'm not exaggerating. I ordered it med well with butter on the side to dip it in. My steak was Gray (like it was microwaved) and the butter was in the cheap butter containers you get at a breakfast place. I took 1 bite and that was it. There was absolutely no flavor not even salt. I sent it back and did not order anything else. The meatballs also had no flavor. I'm even questioning if there was any meat in those balls. We were a party of 5 and we all agreed the food was terrible. I don't know how the reviews are positive. We were all disappointed because this was for a 70th birthday. Never again. read more

I was recommended this place by a few coworkers so one day I decided to place an order togo when I was in the area. This restaurant is a nice little spot for an evening dinner. When I came to pick up my food, they had plenty of seating indoors and outdoors and was pretty packed for a Friday evening. I ordered the loaded fries and my husband ordered the fish and chips. I really enjoyed my order. The portion size was huge and I liked the cheese on the fries, sometimes the melted cheese can be too much but this cheese had great flavor. The tomatoes were amazing. These were probably the best tomatoes that I have ever had and made the dish super flavorful. My husband enjoyed his dish until he got an uncooked piece of fish which was very hard and still had the skin on it. I do have to take a star off for that because it did gross us out. I would be willing to return and try other menu items but would also get the loaded fries again. My family had some friend visiting from out of town and we didn't get a chance to check the hour and showed up 40 minutes before they close... none the less they were more than welcoming and encouraging for us to sit and enjoy a meal. Great Mac n cheese burger. I wish they had an adult size of Mac n cheese bowl. The beer was cold and the service was great.

When we asked about going to the bar to get a drink and wait for our table, the hostess tells us that they will not hold our table if we sit at the bar. I did not see any bar tables open and we did not want to sit and have our dinner at the bar counter. I then see several open tables and she tells me those are saved for larger parties...a table for 4 is a large party for them? She then points to tables outside. Absolutely will not sit outside in the freezing winter night!! After talking to the manager, it was clear they only cared about serving larger parties at their tables. This was such poor customer service, and we chose to leave and spend our good money somewhere else. We frequent so many restaurants and never have I had such a lame experience trying to get a table.
