Cute & quaint, Jumbars serves a DELICIOUS breakfast. Sourcing local vendors, serving only the freshest of ingredients, we ordered a grilled sticky bun,the baked organic oatmeal, a Spanish omelet w grilled potatoes and a 2-egg build-your-own spinach, mushroom & Swiss cheese omelet. Proof of how excellent the meal was is that my small-eater 83 yr old mother just about licked her platter clean. Excellent spot for home made breakfast/lunch/brunch menu. We had the quiche Lorraine, fluffy filling and excellent crust, corn chowder soup of the day and baby Bella grilled sandwich with grilled potatoes. The staff was very unprofessional they need to step up their game, it's like walking on egg shells, the cashier was a lot more better than the servers. All in all I would go there again.. I am torn between three and four stars. Four stars for the food. Fairly well done considering the abundance of items you can select from. You normally don't see a place that can handle this many items and do them well. It is a nice atmosphere and wasn't loud even with tables placed somewhat close together. Now the service, I would say that the waiter wasn't the owner and that the woman who came by to clean off a table for us to sit, refill drinks, check on the food, etc. must have been the owner. The waiter didn't seem to care too much. The place must have had issues with the A/C today. Things like this happen. It was a tad stuffy in there. I'm sure it is different other days. I personally would have liked to sit outside but there were storms in the forecast. The one thng I would have liked was to have known that there was hot sauces to choose from and also jellies/jams. I didn't see this until I was leaving to pay. And unfortunately the waiter never said a word about them even after being told this was our first time. Maybe again some time, maybe not. If you like being ignored and/or abused by wait staff, this place is for you. While the restaurant is colorful and inviting, and the baked goods on the counter look delicious, it is hard to justify a visit to be served by ill-trained and seemingly clueless waitresses who pass you by when you're waiting to be seated and then make you wait at the table before even giving you a menu. This is a place that I wanted to like in a town with very few nice lunch places, but unfortunately the owners know this and have done little to create a truly welcoming environment for all their customers. read more

I've only been here once, but I will definitely be going back. Jumbars is kind of tucked away, but word of mouth serves them well. I got take-out for work, so I wasn't able to sit and enjoy the atmosphere, but the look of the place is really quaint. Each of us got something different and we were all enamored at the first bite. I had the Turkey and Apple Chutney Sandwich. Amazing! It was on toasted, homemade cinnamon raisin bread. Do I really have to go on?? Anticipation was high as all of the write ups were positive. Plus, the freshest of foods was in order based on the restaurants website. We were celebrating Mothers Day a day early and a birthday. We have an infant and a first grader, so we were hoping for a kid friendly environment. Unfortunately, we were let down from the first moment. They only had one high chair, and it was very old and in use. The dining area was very small; we were on top of each other. In the end, my wife and I agreed we've had better experiences for breakfast in the Lehigh Valley. It was worth the drive to check it out. Dined outdoors this morning. Tried two eggs over easy with a side of bacon and rye toast. Yummy, perfect balance. Waitstaff engage easily in jovial conversations; are attentive to patrons. Again, husband had Greek omelette. We both shared my last piece of rye with their orange marmalade for our 'dessert' and were sweetly rewarded. Highly recommend this lovely place. read more

Jumbars is a great spot for a satisfying breakfast or lunch. They boast homemade breads, muffins and pastries as well as jams and sausage. The duffin -- a muffin and a doughnut -- is a yummy appetizer with some Nutella. The food takes a while to come out, so ordering a muffin to start is a good way to hold over. My husband and I went here for breakfast one day. I knew the wait would be long since I read reviews, but an hour and half!! Definitely wasn't worth the wait!! Interior is very homey with many pictures of art work. The chairs aren't comfortable especially given the wait time! My husband ordered an omelette and said it lacked flavor and I had the strata which sounded fabulous (supposed to have Carmelized onions sausage and cheddar cheese with sausage gravy) however it lacked flavor and just tasted like heavy gravy with milk!! The baked goods did look good behind the counter!! I really wanted to like this place, but it wasn't meant to be!! Hope whoever reads this has a much better experience than we did! We were in from out of town and tried to visit local places with great reviews and this place did not disappoint. Nothing we had was bad or even mediocre. Their scones are the best I have ever had, my husband had a grilled "duffin" and it was so good we got two duffins to go to bring to our kids 7 hours away. The jam is amazing. I thought the blueberry was so good I wanted to eat it with a spoon. My husband loved the apple cider jam. I got the Quiche Lorraine and it was phenomenal. I'm usually disappointed by quiche at restaurants but this was perfect. It's a small place and kind of crowded but once you taste the food you know why every seat is filled and there is a wait. 10/10 would visit again. read more

Once seated our server was quick to take our drink order and it was served very shortly after the order was taken.Our food order took quite a bit longer, maybe 30 minutes or so. We had the savory stratta with mushroom gravy, egg white omelette, bacon and sausage on the side with whole wheat English muffin.
