Half Roasted Chicken w/ Mashed Potatoes and Vegetables

So I had relatively decent expectations for this place but there were overall a lot of misses here. First and foremost, service was not great. We waited about 20 min after we sat down before someone came and greeted us and took our drink orders. There weren't many people there and it looked like they were definitely short staffed. Food we got was not great, chicken I got was overcooked, chewy and dry. It was also very much lacking in flavor. Could not finish it. For the bill, we paid almost $100 for 2 mediocre entrees, a soda, and a cocktail. Not very good and now I am not surprised why there weren't that many people there. Do not recommend and definitely stay away.

I attended a company party at this hotel restaurant. It was tricky to locate within the IDS building. You will have to enter the Marquette hotel and then take the elevator to level 3. Once you exit the elevator you will see a room with Foosball table. Go pass this room and walk towards the balcony area where I found my coworkers. Food was delicious, I ordered filet mignon, ceasar salad and fries with alioli sauce. However we only had 1 waiter working that evening. There were other tables as well that he needed to tend to. He took orders from half the group and then came back later to take the rest of our order. I thought that was odd, but whatever. 2 of my coworkers food was not made and waited for their meal, while the waiter asked if anyone wanted desserts. Couple of my coworkers went to the simulator room to kill some time and came back looking frustrated. An employee advised them it will cost money to play by hour. They said no thank you. Aside from dinner, the building hosted a holiday event in the lobby, we can hear them calling out bingo numbers below. I hope this restaurant finds more servers, i felt bad for the waiter.

Amazing and delicious breakfast buffet in this immaculate and classy downtown Minneapolis hotel. I loved sitting at the Mary Tyler Moore table - complete with a stunning view of Crystal Court - and enjoying the fresh and varied buffet choices, including overnight oats, vegetable frittata, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and smoked salmon. Everything was delectable! The beautiful and attentive waitress, whose tenure with the restaurant goes back several decades to its days as Basel's, made the experience even more special. "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" fans will remember the locale from the opening show credits. A 10 in every category!

Love the TopGolf! Food was awesome, love the salmon salad and Jan is amazing! The views on the Terrance are wonderful too! Love the "outside" vibe.

The setting that made the experience always so special, before they move to their residency inside the Guthrie Theater under a new name. I cannot wait to see what they do next. Every dish truly hit it out of the park. From the Three Sisters salad with bison and squash to the fried quail and rich, earthy mushroom soup, each plate showcased Indigenous ingredients and traditions in a way that felt both thoughtful and exciting. This is not your typical dining experience and that's exactly what makes it so satisfying. Even the margarita was a standout: beautifully presented and just as delicious as it looked. I will definitely miss this riverfront location, but I am so excited for their next chapter.

This place totally lived up to the hype, in my opinion!…read more I got the maple pepita latte ($10), sweet potatoes ($18), bison skirt steak tacos ($55), and spoonbread ($15). The latte came garnished with rose petals and was not too sweet. It was a nice way to start my meal. Then came the sweet potatoes, and oh my God, I think they were the best sweet potatoes I've ever had. They were unbelievably, delectably sweet and cooked perfectly. They had an excellent char while being soft on the inside. And the sweetness was complemented nicely by the maple chili crisp, which had just a bit of a kick. The bison skirt steak tacos were also delicious. The bison was so tender and juicy. Full of flavor and cooked superbly. My server wasn't kidding when she said the tacos were big enough to share between a few people. I ate the tacos by myself, and I was beyond stuffed. Alas, I wasn't a big fan of the spoonbread. The flavor wasn't bad, but I didn't care for the texture, which was a little too coarse for me. The dessert was gluten-free, and I could REALLY tell. It was also too spicy for me. The spoonbread was drenched in hot honey. But the sweet potatoes, tacos, and attentive & friendly service more than made up for it. The restaurant isn't cheap (especially for a solo diner), but I've seen worse prices for worse food. And I'm eager to check out their new location the next time I'm in Minneapolis. Note - if you pay with a credit card, it does come with a 3% fee.

Service is friendly and quick, they work as a team so requests get taken care of quickly. Now for the food, for brunch you get a complimentary bowl of mini donuts. We started with the cheese curds to share and they were so good. Delicate batter, with a side of a sweet jam/ketchup and ranch. These were eaten up fast. We also shared the buffalo cauliflower which was nicely battered, firm cauliflower, and a good amount of buffalo sauce. I ordered the chicken wraps. These were nice and refreshing. Comes with 3 skewers of chicken, a peanut dressing, fresh Bibb lettuce, basil, mint, cucumber, and sliced radish. My husband had the huevos rancheros which he liked as well. I saw other tables get a mimosa flight which looked fun if we had a larger group. Highly recommend this place. Street parking only with a nearby pay lot.

I used to come here frequently as they had the best turkey burger in the city. They've since adjusted their menu to the point where everything tastes like it's been drenched in salt. Expect to be paying upwards of 20 dollars for a mid-at-best burger and even more if you dare to get cheese curds or sweet potato fries. Very sad change for a place I once went to weekly. The service is overall great, never had a bad experience interacting with staff. The redesign also looks very nice with a shaded seating area outside. I just wish the food quality matched the rest of the experience.

By 2028, these streets will be beautiful, reconstructed to tie all the downtown hoods together. Now, they're a little rough, but to my surprise, 112 Eatery was packed on this Saturday night in early October. Fortunately, we had reservations. 112 Eatery allows patrons to make reservations at the bar. Yippee! I have urged restaurants to do this for decades. Our corner seats were waiting for us, and we squeezed into the tight space. 112 was Isaac Becker's 1st restaurant, and it is not large, but the decor will remind you of Bar LaGrassa, which is enormous. Derek was our server/bartender, and he was fantastic. He made our evening interesting and fun. I saw Khinkali dumplings on the menu and my knees went weak. I tasted these morsels at several Georgian restaurants, including the award-winning Chama Mama in Chelsea, NYC, and they're friggen amazing. Alas, the Khinkali at 112 are not pan-fried, so they have a mushy rather than a crispy texture. They tasted delicious, but paled in comparison to the ones at Chama Mama, but 112 isn't a Georgian restaurant. I would still order them again. The halibut was very good, but next time I would order the dish without the mashed potatoes. Because the fish sat in a puddle of mashed potatoes, some of the flavor of the Halibut was smothered. 112 makes some of the best French Fries in the city. They are not to be missed. We took desserts to go and enjoyed them at home while watching a recording of Wisconsin beating Michigan State. Go Badgers! 112 Eatery is a fun restaurant, and I was happy to see it crowded on a Saturday night.

What a wonderful evening! To be honest, writing this review is hard, because I want to share…read moreeverything, but I also want to preserve the element of surprise. I liken it to movie/show spoilers... I don't want to reveal too much, and dilute the awe of your first experience. So with that, Demi has been on my radar for years, and as I prepared for an outing worthy of celebrating my milestones, I knew the time had come. I went for the autum 2026 wc whitney menu, which states 9 courses, but it was 11 given the mushroom broth in the beginning, and chocolates at the end. Anyway, the food was amazing, the service exceptional, and although I went solo, I met a couple of lovely folks seated next to me that only added to the experience. So with that, here are a few highlights: -Avoid arriving extremely early. Within 5mins of your reservation is more than enough. I arrived 9mins early, but used the time for photos and a tasty cocktail, "Trouble in Paradise" $20, before seating began. -The experience is very personal. From beginning to end. When completing your reservation, be sure to include details/the reason for your visit. They actually read it! -If you're contemplating going alone, do it! I was the only one by themselves, and still felt engaged! Sitting with views of the kitchen, you see all the action and it's quite the production. There's a rhythm as the service flows, everyone has a role, yet it's all hands on deck with so much attention to the details. It's like catching a glimpse of the backstage crew working behind the curtains at a show, which I love. -I skipped the beverage pairings and just ordered two drinks by the glass. One being a red wine that I asked be paired with my pasta course and went well with the following two (duck, then wagyu). I didn't check prices beforehand, but both turned out to be pricey($50 total). So with that, either inquire in the moment, or just limit yourself so the surprise isn't exorbitant and beyond what the pairing would have been. And if you're not worried about price, then YOLO. -The one area of improvement I noticed was with a substitute given to those with food restrictions. I saw reviews from folks who only received brie cheese for a course, and then I witnessed it while there. Since restrictions are provided beforehand, it seems more in-line with the dining experience to create an option that's elevated. Not just a slice or 2 of cheese (while others are eating something substantial). That aside, it was lovely and I'd recommend it.

Whitney course -- it was overall a delicious delight! My favorite was the eggplant agnolotti, all around a solid course with great flavors. I quite enjoyed the rabbit and foie gras terrine as well! I would say if you aren't adventurous, this menu may be a hit or miss if you don't like specific textures. For me, I enjoyed most of everything served! My least favorite was probably the mushroom dashi-- but it was not bad. I was quite surprised to feel as full as I did at the end! I would say for the price, it is a fair amount of food especially with the amount of flair and flavors presented. I did not do a wine pairing but everything I did have from the bar was a 10/10. The restaurant interior itself was intimate and quiet. Everyone was respectful of each other's space and experience. I would say although you are quite close to your neighbors, you can easily get swept away in your own bubble. Would definitely return to enjoy a different set!

I've only been to the cafe, but there is also a separate, fancy-seeming restaurant as well as a boutique hotel. (Also they have a shop in South Minneapolis that has its own Yelp profile, Alma Provisions.) I definitely recommend that you try the cafe! I had a great mocha here, along with a breakfast sandwich and a carrot-apple juice. High quality all around, and all of it was enjoyed in a comfortable and beautifully decorated dining room. There is quite a lot of food on the menu; I was there for breakfast but they have a lunch menu that starts at 11am which I want to come back to try. Again, my mocha was absolutely delicious and the fresh bread really elevated that breakfast sandwich. I was here on a September Saturday morning at around 8:30 and it was very busy; the wait to order was about 15 minutes but there is enough seating that I didn't have trouble there. In addition to plenty of indoor tables, there is a lot of bar seating and a good number of patio tables. On the West side of the building is a large parking lot, most of which is for nearby apartment buildings. But there is a sign that makes it clear that the spaces numbered 1-7 are for Alma customers.
