Wonderful service. Looks great when you first walk in. There is plenty of seating. Cute decor of vintage style. Sweet tea or reg. tea went well with our The whole Kubbudle and plate of fried chicken and waffle. (Chicken and waffles were cut to bite size on plate.)

Incredible menu options of the home cooking southern cuisine variety and super friendly service. Cute diner decor and wonderful coffee. Treat yourself.

What I got -grits with 8 small shrimp.

Had this place on my list to try for a while. Not great day at work, so I decided to get food delivered to try to turn things around. I ordered what looked to be an amazing bowl of shrimp and grits. What I got was a big bowl of grits with a few shrimp tossed on as an afterthought. The bacon on the description didn't make it into my bowl, it must be with the rest of my shrimp. I get shrinkflation, but this is just plain disappointing.

Been here twice now and each time the food has been absolutely phenomenal. First time I got the shrimp and grits and it was absolutely delicious. Happy to see a restaurant in the PNW that knows how to make grits right. Second time I ate here I got the Caramel Apple French Toast, and it was so amazing. Even the side of Jambalaya was fantastic. Cant wait to try everything else!

Great Friday Breakfast & Service @ JoJo Macs in Albany, OR. !! We had a great meal this morning with excellent service throughout. The food was so savory and delicious!! We were also excited to pick out some donuts afterwards to enjoy later! The staff posted up at their donut counter, around the corner, inside the Plaza, were great and described the donuts made in-house to us. All of the donuts and scones looked and sounded super yummy. We ended up with a cinnamon twist, apple fritter, and berry fritter. All of them were absolutely amazing, so yeah! Treat yourself for sure!! The restaurant itself was clean and inviting with a central location, and nice decor.

I stopped by Jo Jo Macs today for brunch with a friend. I ordered the bacon ranch Mac and found the flavor to be utterly delicious! The sauce was nice and creamy, the noodles were cooked just right, and the consistency was thick but not overly heavy. It was a large enough portion that I ate some for lunch and was able to take the rest home for dinner later. The service was prompt and friendly. There were many menu options that looked appealing so I will be back for sure.

A decent little spot in downtown, this place offers a lot of different lunch and brunch fare. The service was attentive, portions were large and reasonably priced, and food was fine. I got the Cajun fish sandwich--while on a large bun with an abundance of romaine, the fish lacked much flavor. The sweet potato fries were not crispy. The ambiance needs a lot of help. Overall, though, a decent spot for a quick lunch.

The girls were so sweet, Casey is amazing! and the hostess was incredibly accommodating. The food was hands down the best breakfast my husband and I have ever had. If you haven't been here yet, you absolutely need to try it, you won't be sorry. The only regret you'll have is not coming in sooner. Even the coffee was fire!

There were some salads calling my name, but ultimately there was a French dip that won me over. I must say, I am happy with my choice. It was very flavorful, and I also added a cup of chili. I would recommend both. Service was fast, and the staff were all really nice. Sorry, I didn't get any pics. I was too excited to see my family.

If you've ever rolled into Albany late in the evening and thought, "Now where in the world am I…read moregonna get a decent bite?" allow me to point you toward an old standby: Pop's Branding Iron. This place has been holding down the fort for what feels like forever, and walking in feels a bit like stepping into a time capsule where the coffee's hot, the plates are big, and nobody's in a hurry to reinvent the diner. One of my personal favorites is the patty melt simple, classic, and exactly what a patty melt ought to be. My daughter has her own favorite on the menu Monte-Cristo with fries that could probably feed a small ranch crew, That's kind of part of the charm here. The portions are big, the prices are fair, and when a lot of places in town have already shut their lights off for the night, Pop's is still there doing its thing. Now, I'll be honest it shows its age a little. A bit of cleaning and polishing here and there wouldn't hurt. But honestly, that worn-in feel is part of the story. If you're looking for something affordable, old-fashioned, and dependable especially later in the evening Pop's Branding Iron is definitely worth a stop. Four stars from me, and a tip of the hat to a place that's been feeding folks for generations.

Breakfast (served all…read moreday) is my usual go-to here, but I've sampled a few appetizers and bites of food from the dinner menu here and there. The portions are very generous, and considering the prices of food these days, their prices are very reasonable. This is a great spot to eat at if you're looking for a lot of food at a great value. The food and service are about average, but to me, this is all a decent diner really needs to be. A big pro is that they are open late (7am-10pm daily). I recommend that they update their online menu, which advertises serving dishes 24-hours a day, which may confuse some customers. All in all, a good, reliable spot to eat a meal! There's a lot of dining space here, so it's good for both small and larger parties.

The menu leans into classic American comfort food, and everything feels like it's made with care rather than rushed out of a kitchen. The standout for me is the turkey Reuben. It's one of those sandwiches you think about later in the day. The turkey is tender, the sauerkraut adds just the right amount of tang, and everything comes together perfectly on grilled rye. This Reuben is dressed with a smoked pepper spread instead of mustard and this is what absolutely turns it up compared to your usual turkey Reuben. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the kind of place where you can sit with a cup of coffee and take your time. If you're in Salem and looking for a solid comfort-food café, Bodhi Cafe--and especially that turkey Reuben--is well worth the stop.

When I was there on Friday, I managed to grab the last available spot after I ordered. There were many people who were holding spots while they waited for others to join and others who had ordered but were looking around for a place to sit. People don't seem to get the concept of sit after you order, so I hope the shop can help remind/teach folks.

It is always a big deal for me when I get to tell my wife that we are going to Sybaris. Tonight was going to be even more memorable because we brought our daughter along to celebrate Mother's Day. Our problem began when we ran into traffic and were 15 minutes late. At the door, our waiter informed us that the restaurant seats people every half hour. I apologized and we were seated. If I had known what was coming I would have turned around at the door and left. What followed was two hours of some of the rudest service I have ever experienced. I spent much of my youth working in restaurants in Upstate NY. I know that customers can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but our only mistake was that we were 15 minutes late. We spent the whole meal being polite while this guy continuously made us feel uncomfortable. It's difficult to describe the way this guy was acting. The food came out and it was good, but the waiter was coming off like wise ass. At the end of the meal there were hardly any people in the restaurant. The waiter gave me the bill then waited 15 minutes to pick up my card. I guess he got his satisfaction. If there was any doubt about his intentions, when we were getting ready to leave, he kept asking me if I wanted more water. That's an asshat move. Much to my wife's dismay, I tipped him fair because that's just what you do. My daughter gained a learning experience on the nature of jerks so I suppose that's something, but overall it was a sad twist on what was supposed to be a grand event. Of course we can't ever come back, but please take this information and remind your staff that they are a big part of the dinning experience.
