I enjoyed the hash and eggs, but I admit that I like pretty much every type of corned beef hash. Great table service with lots of smiles . A couple of things to note. The hashbrowns are not just frozen patties, and you can add onion to them for free. The cook working the flattop is clearly a master at his craft. Decided to go to Kevin's for lunch and had their special which was a kind of a halibut fish and chip thing. The fish had a very strange coating and a couple pieces look like they've been cooked for about three hours as they were almost black in color. It was also served with garlic toast, which apparently was a piece of plain bread, toasted with garlic salt and butter, not impressed. If I was to rate the food alone, I would read it maybe one star. Service was very good. Had no problem with that. I had to move a vacuum in front of the door in order to close the door and then being a nice guy. Chicken fried steak, side of bacon. That what was ordered as I was looking for a great greasy spoon to get one of those fantastic breakfasts that harken back to another time and place. I love a great chicken fried steak and a lot of places either don't do a good job or don't use a thin enough, or too thin a piece of meat, and the breading is either too soggy because there is too much or they over cook it. That isn't a problem that you wil have here at Kevin's. The sausage gravy is to die for by the way. The hashbrowns are great shredded potatoes that are crisped up just right and then you add the country gravy onto it and you will have a delicious meal. Definition of a hole-in-the-wall, and not in a bad way. I would advise sitting at one of the tables or booths otherwise you spend your time staring at the cooktop of the open kitchen. Not bad, just a bit loud. Piggy Burger was GREAT! Just what I was looking for... no smash burger, no skimpy patty, just a good ole fat burger with bacon (cooked floppy FYI), egg, ham, and all the fixin's. The accompanying fries were good, if simple, and the coffee worked. Very friendly staff, especially if you like being called "hun" in that classic diner way. I coukd see the local support as I was there midday during the week and there were never less than a half-dozen patrons seated and flowing through. I will happily come back... there was a jalapeno and Swiss burger on the specials board that I missed... and I saw that it comes with tots! Kevin's is the equivalent of a dive bar. Food is all scratch made and super good. The building is old and it's a little dirty inside. Mostly dust in all the high spaces. The staff was amazing in this local diner. The food leaves something to be desired. I ordered an omelette and it was served overcooked (brown) on the outside. My wife ordered a waffle and it was soggy like it had been microwaved. Her scrambled eggs were also overcooked and were served in a solid clump. The place could use some maintenance. Started going in Kevin's café when his mother ruined it it's been the same all the time good size food portions, well cooked and reasonable prices is kind of like a dinosaur prices will soon force him out of business. There's no aviance it's just a place to go on a sit around and yak over a cup of coffee and then go about your day. I went here for breakfast and ordered an omlette with hashbrowns, gravy, and toast. The omlette was very good and was just the right size for one person. The vegetables in the omlette were very fresh and the cheese was perfectly melted. The hashbrowns were good and I could tell they were homemade. The gravy was okay but did not have as much flavor as I hoped. Overall, the food was good and I would come here again. The one dowside to eating here is they only take cash payment which I didn't know before going in. Luckily, the person I went with had cash on them. read more

Hubby and I were on a business trip to Lebanon, so I looked up reviews here on Yelp and found Kevin's. And it was exactly what we were looking for: a small, home-town environment, friendly service, and great food. Everyone seemed to know everyone, and there was a lot of laughter among the staff and the customers. We could watch Reese as he cooked, because the cooking area is just beyond the counter. He was friendly and efficient, and had on a cool shirt that said, "Either you love bacon...or you're wrong". Hilarious! Our server, Corina, was fantastic. So was the other server who seated us, but I didn't catch her name. I ordered eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns: everything was perfect. Hubby ordered the bacon hamburger and he let me have a bite. It was terrific, too. I like that there are booths and not hard chairs to sit on. We'd already been driving for several hours, so softer seats were wonderful. They're only open till 2 pm and I think it's cash only. Be careful if your shoes are wet; the floor is extremely slippery! We'd definitely eat here again; Kevin's isn't huge on space, but it's huge on good food, a friendly atmosphere, and terrific service. read more
