I visited this Elmer's with a couple of special ladies well after normal dinnertime, when we were very hungry. I took a big risk and ordered the fish & chips, mostly on a dare from my fiancee. She knows that I hold a very special restaurant in a certain British Columbia port town in high regard, where I had the absolute best fish & chips of my life during a motorcycle ride to Alaska, and that I have since been very hesitant to order fish & chips that would be too far down the scale from that experience. Let me tell you: the fish & chips I had at Albany Elmers that evening was a solid 90% as good as you would get at C-Lovers Fish & Chips in Horseshoe Bay, BC. And THAT is saying a lot! Elmers could approach that magical 100% mark by making their fish & chips all-you-can-eat for $19, as well as providing huge crows that will swoop in and grab chips that you fling up into the air for them, like at C-Lovers Fish & Chips. read more

So, me and my family have eaten here twice! The food on both times has been amazing. My wife got the big country breakfast both times and her and my 1 year old son ate everything. I've had both the crab egg Benedict and the crab omelette, and all I can say is I would order both in a heartbeat. Our waitress on both occasions has been Adriana! She is the best! She is very nice and has taken care of us. The place overall feels very much like a homestead restaurant. My family can't recommend this place enough! read more

We stopped for dinner, late Thursday, tired from flying into Portland, from Colorado and California respectively and driving to Florence for the weekend. We stopped for gas en route and asked the gas attendant where was a good place to eat. He said, "Elmer's". So we drove up the road about one quarter mile to Elmer's. We walked in, were greeted immediately, and proceeded to our booth. Within five minutes we ordered. In ten minutes our food arrived. Our dinner was delicious; the coffee was good; the service was beyond excellent. If you are anywhere near Albany, Oregon, you must stop at Elmer's for a bite to eat. The atmosphere is family friendly, the food is fresh and homemade, the prices could not be better, and you will leave wanting to come back. We are driving back through Albany on our way to Portland to fly home, and on our way, we are stopping again at Elmer's. It is just that good! read more

He was so friendly and funny and just brightened up a rather stressful evening I had had prior to arriving! We went to the Elmer's over by Valley River mall. What an amazing staff. Patty our server was amazing. Super sweet and took great care of us. I noticed as we were there that all of the staff were so friendly and very fun to socialize with. We then hung at the bar with Debbie. She was also such a sweetheart. I was at the restaurant at the end of August 2020. We were able to eat at restaurants and I was still a little scared but because we needed to stop, we decided to have a bite while here. I was very pleased to see that they were being careful due to COVID-19. When I entered, there were no people or servers cramming together and the restaurant was placing people spread out through the restaurant instead of at nearby tables. Even though they did not have anyone in the booth next to us (and were not sitting people there), they had plastic between the booths. I really liked this. Because they were being careful, I was able to enjoy my meal. My husband ordered lunch and I ordered breakfast. Come on, you can't go to Elmer's and NOT have breakfast. Granted, I do drink a diet soda with my breakfast. This is where the problem was....my server was distancing herself so much that she stopped coming around. My poor soda was not getting filled. I had to ask other servers for refills during my stay. Yes, that's a big deal for me, hence taking one star. Other than that, it was a good visit. read more

Whether it's breakfast where I highly recommend the Dungeness crab omelette or lunch where I enjoy the Reuben sandwich. I also love the crepes. We are traveling on our way home to Washington State. I spotted the food sign on I-5 for Elmer's. We stopped in to have breakfast. I have to say that this was my best breakfast while we have been gone for 3 weeks. My husband had stuffed hash browns, and I had the veggie egg white bowl. My goodness, the food! It was plentiful and delicious. Both orders came with a flakey biscuit. My husbands' meal included fresh fruit of pineapple, sliced banana, and grapes. The hostess, the server, the gal topping off coffee, everyone was so happy and nice. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Even the way the silverware rolled in a napkin and placed on each table is obviously done with thoughtfulness and love. The restrooms were very clean, and the ladies' restroom even had a bouquet of flowers on the counter. I wish we lived closer, I'd be here for breakfast regularly. My sister wanted to take me to a great breakfast place in Oregon. This was the only one open because of the big snow that hit. We arrived and were seated immediately. Customer service was great.
