She was friendly, helpful and made great suggestions for our order. All 4 of our family members were very satisfied with the menu selections we received. The food was delicious and cooked exactly the way we ordered it. After dinner, they was a problem with my rewards. She took it to the manager who solved the issue and corrected the final check. My family and I stopped by The Old Spaghetti Factory for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant was super empty when we arrived, but looking around, the restaurant also seemed short-staffed. I've visited a number of Old Spaghetti Factory locations in California before, so I'm well familiar with the lunch menu. The loaf of bread that arrived on our table after we placed our order was piping hot. It was actually so hot, it was difficult to pick up and cut. There's no doubt that this bread is as fresh as it gets. The minestrone soup I opted for with my entree was filled to the brim and packed with a variety of veggies. If you're looking to cut some calories, you'll definitely want to go with the soup over one of their heavily dressed salads. My wife and I actually split their manager's favorite with meat sauce and mizithra cheese. We opted to up-size to a hearty portion for $4.99, which comes with extra sauce and noodles. The spaghetti was well cooked in terms of texture, but could have been drained a bit better. The meat sauce had a bunch of ground beef in it, and the mizithra cheese was salty, nutty, and tangy. If this is your first time visiting an Old Spaghetti Factory location, I highly recommend trying out the mizithra cheese because I have not see this option offered anywhere else. I regret to report that one dish our party ordered was completely dropped. It was difficult to flag down our server to inform them of the issue, so we ended up having to run around the restaurant to find a staff member. We ended up waiting close to 15 more minutes for the last dish to be prepared, at which point all the food that had been delivered earlier had dropped to being room temperature. I've been to this location a few times and they always do a good job. Service can be hit or miss depending on how big of a crowd is in, but i've never had a terrible experience. Food is overall mid imo, but a solid place to go when you're seeking some basic italian food. i will say their creamy pesto is one of my favorite dressings ever tho! we went for lunch and it was my first time ordering off of the weekday lunch menu, and i thought it was a great deal for all the had to offer! i would definitely recommend coming for the weekday lunch menu. read more

Turn around and choose another place before it's too late! I was so excited to see a childhood comfort within dining distance but long are the days when the old spaghetti factory holds a spot in my heart. From getting seated to waiting for our check, everything was a letdown. I even skipped our included dessert because I just wanted to go. The food was mediocre, lacked flavor, and wasn't warm. The service was slow, and there was no sense of prioritization or urgency. This place is a hot mess. No sense of order the entire time at this restaurant. At the host podium, instead of a line the host ask, "who is next?" The service was horrible. Ordered a coke, but never got a refill. Never got the o closed bread until 1/2 through our entree. Never got the included dessert either. The server never even checked in on us either. The only redeemable thing about this place was the food runner. She was doing awesome and was very helpful. This is a nicely marked location with plenty of parking. The interior is clean and well lit with a soft ambiance and overhead music. We took a booth in the lounge and found it very spacious and comfortable. The staff is very cordial and welcoming and we felt no need to rush. We started with drinks and a calamari appetizer. I was wowed by the calamari. I had previously reviewed a calamari that was tender, but the calamari at the Old Spaghetti Factory truly is tender. So much so that just to prove my point I cut it with a butter knife, easily. It was freshly prepared and seasoned with a crisp thin batter. It came with a small bowl of marinara rather than a cocktail sauce which was an excellent pairing. For our three course meal, (which consists of soup or salad, entree and ice cream) I started with the minestrone soup. It was steaming hot with the classic flavors of fresh veggies and bits of pasta. There was just enough pepper to warm you up on a cold wet day. The rest of the flavors made for a very refreshing soup that wakes the taste buds. A small loaf of bread was brought out with a small ramekin of butter. The bread is hard to cut at first, then we figured out to poke the knife into the loaf and then it cut well. It is very fresh and the crust is very crisp. The butter is a softened garlic butter and spreads well. My entree was the Garlic Shrimp Fettuccine. This was a big hit. I found it very creamy and buttery. The cheese was just enough to add to the flavor and texture. This combined well with the cream, wine and hint of lemon. Add a generous portion of shrimp and it was pasta nirvana. The Blackberry Italian cream soda was a very clean refreshing taste. The drink was flavorful and was presented in separate layers of cream and syrup. For dessert I chose the spumoni. It was a swirled blend of chocolate, pistachio, cherry and almond. Very smooth and creamy. The lounge was very comfortable, and again we had no sense of urgency to hurry. It was nice to be able to visit old friends and have a relaxing meal with no rush. Brandon was our server and the only reason I name him is because he was outstanding in his polish and service. He is the reason for the fifth star in this review. His service was very timely and consistent. He made us feel we could have stayed all afternoon just drinking and dining and visiting. read more

The parking lot on a Sunday mid-afternoon, was pretty much vacant. Red flag. The waitstaff was excellent, and attentive. Prices are fair. The food, for the most part, was average -- some parts very good, others, disappointing. The menu was printed on our paper placemat. I understand... in this economy, a restaurant would go out of business trying to print new menus every so many days, adjusting their prices upward, trying to keep up with inflation -- precisely why so many restaurants go out of business. Red flag. I ordered a Caesar salad which wasn't bad, but as a side salad, its quality was fair to good. I ordered the baked lasagna It was very disappointing. Whatever the cause, someone in their corporate offices during uncontrolled inflation and came up with an idea of what Italian food is and failed in the execution. The lasagna was layers of noodles, maybe a very thin layer of ricotta cheese, a bit of herbs, lots of garlic, that seemed much cooler than the plate it was served on. The sauce could have made a difference, but it looked more like salsa ladled on the slab of noodles, and though it tasted like spaghetti sauce, I think that that it had a heavy dose of pizza herbs or spaghetti seasoning; its clumpy appearance gave it the look of watery salsa or maybe picante sauce. Very disappointing. Worse, it tasted like the sauce came from a can -- a very large can. Ugh. The people there are very nice: one gentleman stopped by our table and thanked the two of us males, both wearing hats proclaiming "U.S. Air Force", for our service, shaking our hand. Our server was very nice, as were the others who came to our booth. But as nice as the people were and their efforts (4-5 stars), the food quality was little more than a 2. I think I'm being generous by giving my experience a 3-star rating: the staff rate it, but the food was not good. There was nothing baked about the lasagna, and it was hardly lasagna at that. Maybe all the ingredients were there, but if you put eggs, flour, sugar, vanilla, and flavoring in a bowl, you can hardly call it a cake. Those with me liked what they ate, but I couldn't even eat 1/3 of what I was served. I might have said something, but we were guests of a very close and dear friends who 8n voted us to eat with them. I had the honor this evening in meeting an amazing young lady Miya at this establishments bar. Her bar and diner service was top notch. I travel extensively for my job. Her professionalism, customer service and genuine personality is a reflection of Nikkis(manager) skill and team management in my opinion. Some of the dishes were very good. The terrible service overshadowed what could have been a nice dinner out. One waiter took our drink order and never returned. A second servers came by about 10 minutes later and we said our drinks never arrived. Eventually she brought them. We asked if we could place our order and she thought the first guy took our order which he didn't. When the meal finally arrived (no bread showed up) one of the dishes was not what was ordered. My boyfriend and I went here with his family when we went visiting the area. The food is pretty average. Nothing to rave about. The 'spicy' spaghetti Vesuvius was hardly spicy and it wasn't bad. Again nothing to super rave about but it wasn't bad either. The olive tapenade was not bad and my boyfriend said that he wished there was more flavor with the raviolis dish and also expected some type of meat in his dish along with the stuffing having chicken but there wasn't. Our server was nice and came through often. I know how overwhelming it could be with a group 13 deep, with 3 children, but he did a great job. Overall, was a standard Italian restaurant. Five of us all ordered salad or soup, two of us never got our soup or salad. How does that happen?? We enjoy going to Old Spaghetti Factory Restaurants and were a bit surprised that this location did not have the look and feel of other restaurants. This is truly a restored railroad station that has been relocated. As a result, the ambience is that of a mix between a station cafe and an Old Spaghetti Factory. It is a very pleasant change. As mentioned in other reviews, the food is the typical Old Spaghetti Factory quality served by a friendly and helpful service staff. I had the Manager's Favorite, Mizithra Cheese & Brown Butter and Mushroom Sauce. The mushroom sauce nicely balanced the dryness of the mizithra cheese. Because we live three hours away from Corvallis and there are so many good restaurants in the Corvallis area, we do not know when we will get back to this Old Spaghetti Factory; however, we recommend that you try this nice restaurant. read more

Our dine-in experience here was great! Beautiful location next to the river with patio seating available. We asked to be seated at an isolated table indoors and the waitstaff had no problem seating us at a beautiful table that was appropriately spaced from others. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Our waiter was friendly and promptly took our drink and appetizer order. We received our drinks and starters in about five to seven minutes - hardly a wait and everything looked great when it arrived. Regardless of whether or not you order an appetizer, each table gets complementary bread and butter. Most meals come with either a salad (a good portion, larger than most side salads) or a cup of soup. The food was delicious! I had the white clam sauce pasta (highly recommend) and my partner had the pot pourri - a great option for anyone wanting to try a few pastas at one time! Most meals also come with a complementary scoop of ice cream at the end of the meal - we had spumoni, which was a fun, unconventional little treat for us. Bring your appetite with you to The Old Spaghetti Factory - I cannot stress this enough! Lots of good food in big portions. What has happened to one of my favorite places? We've always loved this place and even left a five-star review. Tonight we sat for 25 minutes before anyone came to take our order. I ordered iced tea and it didn't come with lemon or sweetener- I had to ask, and then the server just threw some sugar packets at me. We all got minestrone and my dining companions all got the usual good soup, but mine was horribly watered down with no flavor and hardly any ingredients in it. We asked for a side of broccoli with our meal and they brought it as an appetizer, with no plates to eat it on, totally unsalted - and no salt or pepper on the table. Our bread was never refilled. Our entrees were delivered and the server brought the check along with our meals. We hadn't even ordered our dessert yet, so we asked if we were getting the included dessert. The server said "sure" and then brought our Spumoni almost immediately - we had barely started eating! We then told the server it was our daughter's birthday and asked if we were getting a birthday song, so that server got another server and the two of them sang to her while we were still eating our dinner entrees (which we'd only had for maybe five minutes). Not the usual birthday treatment, and we usually come here for every family member's birthday - it's been our tradition - but tonight was very strange. Not sure what is going on. Not sure if our birthday tradition at Corvallis SF can continue if this is the new normal. Man, tonight was weird. OSF never misses!! They are always consistent, it's a full meal for a decent price. The fresh bread, add some butter and pro tip top it off with some of the Parmesan on the table. Get the side salad with blue cheese and extra dressing. I could bath in their blue cheese dressing with the chunks of cheese and fresh iceberg lettuce. I always get the managers special with half mizithra and half clam sauce and substitute with Angel hair pasta. I throw a knife down the middle of the two and always have leftovers. And for dessert, the Spumoni ice cream!! Pistachio, chocolate and strawberry. Wow. I came to place because me and my family were visiting Oregon's. We came here because the Old Spaghetti factory back home in Honolulu closed, and I have to say the experience was great! Our server was Quinn, and he was friendly and patient. The food was good, especially the noodles because they were not dry. The deserts were delicious and we received all our foods quickly. I ordered my first Kentucky Mule and it was delicious! Kudos to the bartender. I also tried their fried calamari and it was really good. Probably the best I've had in a long time. The seasoning was perfect and you could tell it was fresh and not processed. I was there with several of my son's friends and the orders ranged from spaghetti with meatballs to the managers special. The food pictured was mine, the chicken fettuccini was my son's and the rigatoni and meatballs with red sauce belonged to his friend. My son didn't finish his because the portion size was a tad big for him (he's a 15 year old athlete for reference). His friend couldn't finish his food either. Two of the kids finished their food but they were competing. My point is he portions are a nice size so you get your money's worth! We were craving Italian and wanted to give this place a try. I loved how it's a three course meal. You get to pick from a soup or salad, then any entree, and your choice of dessert. I had the lasagna and it was yummy! It was a huge proportion and was flavorful. There was a lot of tomato sauce if you love it as much as me! My mom had the fettuccine Alfredo. She explained how it wasn't too heavy and filled her up just right. My dad thought his three meat trip was excellent. He loved everything about it. Overall, we had a great waiter and didn't even have to wait in line. We just sat in the lounge area. Apparently you have to be 21 years or older to sit here. Everyone gets carded from the start. We were coerced into going here to celebrate my father in law's birthday. The menu is old school which means there are not a lot of pasta options for vegan patrons. The food was fine - but nothing special that you couldn't make at home. The people manning the front seemed like young teenagers who couldn't care less about us being there. I know it is a successful, full-service chain restaurant, but I appreciate that it has deep, Northwest roots: the corporation is located in Portland, and their first restaurant was opened in Portland (back in 1969). It shouldn't matter to me ... but it does. The Corvallis Old Spaghetti Factory is located inside the historic Oregon Electric Railway terminal building. The Oregon Electric Railway ran passenger service from Corvallis to Albany from 1913 to 1931. It is amazing the building survived the decades, and it is a perfect home for The Old Spaghetti Factory. Spaghetti. Nothing magical about it, it's simple dish, but simple dishes are often easy to mess up. Not here, The Old Spaghetti Factory does pasta right. I came with the family, celebrating a birthday, and received excellent service and delicious food. I had the Manager's Favorite ($13.50), a Hearty Portion ($3.50), substituting broccoli for pasta ($1.99), with Meat Sauce and Mizithra Cheese. Delicious. What? Broccoli? Surprise, no pasta on my plate. It hurts me to bypass pasta ... carbs I crave ... but The Old Spaghetti Factory was one of the first restaurants to offer low-carb options on it's menu. Beautiful location and good food. We made our Easter dinner special by dining here and enjoyed our spaghetti dinners! The building is an old train station, the atmosphere and even the lights were just beautiful. Felt like I was transported back in time. We all had the browned butter and cheese spaghetti dinner which included warm bread, salad and we all had spumoni ice cream. The food was super good and we truly enjoyed our Easter dinner. Most definitely will be back and I'll try the clam sauce next time. Especially appreciate that they had gluten free noodles for those who have gluten sensitivities. read more

We always look forward to an opportunity to try somewhere that we have not dined at before. Today it was an hour jaunt to the "Old Spaghetti Factory" in Corvallis, Oregon! Wait time was non-existent as we called in advance to know when the best time for dinner would be. We were told before 6pm. Sure enough. Our servers were FANTASTIC, and worked together to create an excellent dining experience. First drinks, bread, soup and salad, our entrees, and finally our Ice cream! My wife ordered the spinach tortellini ...delish. Daughter 1....Crab ravioli, Daughter 2...spinach ravioli, and I had the Vesuvius spaghetti....not crazy spicy, but a good heat. Would recommend the restaurant to everyone. We will be returning as a complete family.
