Generic franchise pizza. Got the Maui Wowii and it had too much going on. This is the pizza version of when a sushi place tries to cover up mediocre quality fish with too much sauce. Fast and tasty personal pizza joint! The first time I tried a slice of Pie Five Pizza (a takeout order) I was impressed with the satisfying texture and the "gourmet" ingredients. It wasn't too greasy, and the slices held up without dropping ingredients. Good quality personal pan pizza. The second time I tried Pie Five, I opted for something a little different - a Chicken Caesar Salad with Cheesy Breadstix (basically, a cheese pizza without the red sauce). My salad was a little bland - chopped up chicken into mini cubes, no croutons (even though the menu said it should come with them), and a lot of lettuce. To be fair, I was asked if I wanted to add anything (I added spinach and olives), but the salad could have had more more pizzazz and the chicken could have been made more flavorful (better grilling, seasoning etc.). The Cheesy Breadstix were tasty - but not a whole lot differentiates the breadsticks from an actual pizza. I'd say this is a great place to order a personal pan pizza, but stick to ordering just pizza! Takeout and dining in were both good experiences for me. Also available via Doordash! read more

Delicious pizza place in Corvallis. Parking was super easy and the line was pretty short at peak dinnertime. Ambience was nothing to write home about, but the decor was fine and the restaurant was clean. Our party got several pizzas - the Tandoori, Athenian, Veggie, and one BYO with pepperoni and olives. Two were thin crust and two were traditional. All were cooked well and were super flavorful. The service was super fast and the staff were all friendly. The pizza was dry, the crust was bland and the sauce tasted like it was from a jar. People in Albany must be desperate for a good pizza but this place ain't it. Do not understand the reviews. Secondly the pizza was a small compared to the major pizza businesses. The delivery fee through Uber Eats was $9 to top it off. That's on me because I didn't want to drive to get it. Our household is a divided house when it comes to Pie Five. While I won't eat here anymore myself, my kids and my parents both really like their pizza. WHAT'S GREAT Everyone in our household loves being able to order and customize their own pizza. No more having to do half and half pizza orders where most people are making a concessions on what toppings they'd REALLY like for the greater good of getting something everyone can enjoy. The variety of toppings is good and the quality of the ingredients is above average. The quality of the toppings in on par with what you might expect from a more gourmet frozen pizza (and even slightly better). You can also order as many toppings as you like on your personal pizza and it doesn't affect the price. So we've found we spend about the same amount ordering 5 personal pizza's ($40) as we do ordering two large pizza's from Woodstocks. PRO TIP #1: When ordering online (or over the phone) you can specific that you want 'double' the amount of any toppings you like. And I highly recommend this if you like having a good amount of toppings. Pizza's are made fast (like 15-20min) so gone are the days of waiting an hour or more for your pizza to be ready. The servers have all been friendly. People seem to genuinely care about giving you a good experience when you walk in the door and pick up your pizza's (or order a pizza in-store). My parents and both my highschool kids like the taste of their pizza's. My dad LOVES the Athenian pizza. And considered it one of the best tasking pizza experiences he's ever had. The personal pizza will be a full meal for most people and some will certainly be able to get a second meal out of it. That's what both my kids and parents do with theirs. After eating an entire personal pizza, I wasn't quite as full as eating an entire Chicken Chipotle Bowl (w/ everything... and I mean everything) from Chipotle, but I wasn't hungry to eat something more. WHAT'S SUB PAR So here's where I will offer my humble (but correct) opinion of the taste and quality of the pizza. There is something really wrong w/ the crust. There is some sort of chemical they use in their dough that I'm sure allows them to make these quickly and efficiently, but it not only adds an unpleasant after taste, but it literally made my stomach sick. Now the crust has a nice, soft texture to it. It does a good job giving you that experience of "I want to shove more of this soft, wonderful feeling doughy goodness into my mouth" but then you swallow and that's when the magic soon disappears. I even tested this with the breadsticks, same problem. I can taste whatever it is in the dough, but I just can't say what exactly the ingredient or ingredients are that cause this. And why does it just affect me? Well, I do eat VERY clean. So I tend to notice very easily when cheap/harmful/nasty ingredients not meant for human consumption are being used :) PRO TIP #2: I've found they often forget to add things like "crushed red pepper" to your pizza order when you request it. So be sure and double-check when picking up your pizza(s). OVERALL EXPERIENCE So this is definitely not 'artisan' pizza. It's artisan in the sense that you can customize your pizza w/ some cool toppings like Chicken, Cilantro, Basil, etc. But the quality is more similar to a frozen gourmet pizza, except the crust has a much better texture/softness to it. I can certainly see the appeal. And they will do some cool promotions sometimes. Last weekend we got 30% of our entire order. So for me personally, no matter how low the cost it's not worth eating. But if you're a fan of Pizza Hut / Domino's / Little Ceasar's type pizza but would appreciate more gourmet toppings or the ability to have a quick personal pizza for less than $10, this could be one of your new favorite spots in Corvallis-- read more

I've come here 4 times now and love it every time. The crew listens very well and builds each pizza just as I want it. So far - my favorites are the BBQ chicken pizza (I've tried this elsewhere and they drown the pizza in BBQ sauce making it soggy and too sweet) but Pie Five has the mix and amount down perfect! The other one I really like is the Farmer's Market with chicken and extra onions...Ohhh yesss! The people who work here are very good at what they do and enjoyable! My friend ordered a vegan mozzarella pizza, cheesy breadsticks, and a meat-lovers pizza - all get 5/5 in my book. Hot, fresh, great veggies, tasty, and very reasonably priced. We just ordered here last night. The service was great. The order was taken nicely and it was actually pretty fast. However, for the pizza itself, I can not say the same. Make no mistake this is not an artisan pizza place. It is simply a notch better than the good old Pizza Hut... We ordered the Athenian and Five Star. The athenian is like a greek pizza. I personally did not like it. The taste of olives on the pizza dominates the taste and there is an aftertaste every-time you finish a slice. It was dry and not that great. Next, we also had the Five Star. It was actually better. But, not special. Basically, you are eating Pizza Hut style pizza with better ingredients, maybe. We did not try other pizzas and there is tons of variations you can make yourself. Overall, I would say this place is good for a quick bite or lunch but not for supper. Our family was very satisfied with both the quality of ingredients on our pizzas and with their quick and amicable service. We ordered three delicious pizzas and devoured the delicious breadsticks provided with our order (way better than Olive Garden breadsticks!) Really tasty pizza. It's tastier then some competitors. However, the service is unbelievably slow. It took us a while to get someone to help us and we were the only customers there. Employees just kept walking past the counter and ignoring us, trying to look to another direction. No one even said anything to get us help at the counted and there's no bell or anything for us to get somebody to help. After a while of waiting we almost left before someone finally came out to help. Still, once we managed to get someone to help and they slowly put the pie together, it seems very fast from oven to our plates. Great food, but haven't been back because of the service. Five stars all day for these delicious little pizzas. They even have a few beers on tap. And go with the panzano crust if you like a crispy outside and soft inside. Reasonable prices as well. My only gripe is that they recently started charging for ranch, and it's 75¢ per tiny cup. Now I get it, everything has a cost, I'll happily pay for ranch, but this seems a bit high. Checked listings for Best Pizza snd this one came and I remembered the location as having wood-fired pizza. Our family of 6 set off, we all ordered "thin " crust pizza which on sales ticket appèared as "crispy thin! The crust was like eating cheese baked on to a thin cracker. No goey cheese, it was hard brown baked on cheese. So beware if you like thin crust, it is NOT bready! I ate all of mine but the rest of the family searched only for possible goey parts and thus left tons of crust on the plate. I ordered a large Margarita and there were only about 8 very tiny unsliced cherry tomatoes on it. Not sure if they put garlic on it. Terribly disappointing. This is no longer wood-fired pizza. That place was sold by the original owners to someone who owns another cafe-restaurant nearby. Breadsticks were tasty and the Caesar salad w/ chicken was large and looked good, but we were there only because we wanted great pizza. Staff was fine, helpful, patient. Sorry to say, but I would not return. There has to be better in Corvallis. One advantage they had was indoor seating. read more

I decided to give Pie Five Pizza in Corvallis a try as I had heard great reviews from my friends in CA. The place is super clean and the servers wore masks and gloves :). I was pleasantly surprised by the pizza crust choices (one is gluten-free), the sauces (spicy Marinara is my absolute favorite), an abundance of vegetable toppings, meat choices, and cheeses! when i went to pick up my order, an employee handed it over after double checking with the receipt. i walked out to my car, opened it up, and realized it's not my pizza at all. it had cheese (which i'm allergic to) and several other toppings i didn't order. i went back into the store and informed them that the order was incorrect, and they said they gave my pizza to someone else and they would remake my pizza. when i got my new pizza, i checked it to make sure it was correct, and it was on the wrong crust and was missing toppings. i pointed this out and they said "i'm sorry, we can remake it" and at that point it had been an hour and i just wanted to go home so i just left. the last time i went to this location, they messed up 2/4 of the pizzas i ordered. the remade them correctly that time, but didn't apologize, refund or offer anything else. i thought i would give them a second chance tonight but apparently nothing has changed. not worth the time, both of the incorrect pizzas looked pretty mediocre anyway. i went to the BBQ place across the street and it was FIRE!!!! read more
