Came here for dinner with the family. It was ok. Pretty old looking inside. The service was very nice but a little slow. Was hoping for a little better.

    Iced coffee!

When I lived in Corvallis, Kim's was, without a doubt, my favorite restaurant in the whole valley. My husband and I are phó-natics and KH consistently killed it with their stellar noodle offerings and their wonderful customer service. It was always a treat to come into KH's and sit down for a leisurely meal; we were always made to feel welcome. When I returned to the valley for a visit, I was warned by a friend that KH was not as it used to be, that service had gone downhill a bit and that maybe I should skip my stop. But I was undeterred! I would have my delicious noodles! So I went! And sadly, my friend was right. One employee in particular made both myself and my dining companion feel as if we were wasting his precious time just by coming in to eat, despite our attempts to be as friendly as possible. And while this employee wasn't the person who took our order, the same employee did bring the wrong order. Normally I would've sent it back for the correct item but he was so rude that I wasn't prepared to go to battle over a bowl of noodles. The food was, as I expected, still really delicious--the duck broth alone is worth weathering a less than pleasant server--and I left full and mostly satisfied. If you're on the fence about trying Kim's, my advice is to get your order to go so that your possible interaction with Mr. Storm Cloud is a brief one. And definitely get any one of the duck broth offerings--they're truly divine--as well as an iced coffee!

New remodel looks way cleaner than before. Servings are big and price is reasonable. Happy to put this into the rotation!

We love getting pho here. One of the better spots to eat in or take out pho in Corvallis.

We walked in towards closing time. The friendly service was commendable. The beef pho was delicious.

The beef flank stew is nothing like what their photo shows but it's still good. Not really a dry saucy beef, more of a soupy beef stew. Lots of beef (in this economy!) and the right amount of texture. Not too chewy or dry House special fried rice. flavor is ok, kinda bland, but has lots of various meat. Will try the curry one next time Stir-Fried Lamb with Cumin, generous amount of lamb as well. Rich, musky cumin flavor with a great texture. Probably will be crispy if dine in in person Forgot to take pictures for the Braised pork with preserved mustard leaves (梅菜扣肉). Hard to go wrong with this. Pork is stew long enough that it breaks easily. Just wish it's thicker and with more marinated mustard leaves Twice cooked pork. Another stable you have to try for any real Chinese restaurant. Pork was cut real thin and not too spicy. Just wish the cabbage is more crunchy

We had the grilled whole fish and mapo tofu, both were great, especially the grilled fish, it's huge portion with lot of ingredients for $28. Mapo tofu was okay but it was room temperature when it's served. The wait time was long (30 minute) even the restaurant was quiet when we visited at 2pm. We almost missed our flight due to the long wait.

This restaurant is close to OSU, which is honestly where they get most of their business. We were tired from a long drive up from our home state of CA during our anniversary trip and were stopping to sleep near the OR coast. Corvallis was our rest stop to fuel up before heading to our dispersed campsite. I really wanted Thai food, and from my initial scouring of reviews, Thai Chili looked good. Obviously I was keeping my expectations low given that I come from a state that is known for its wide variety of delicious Asian food. The restaurant was small and spartan, and you order up front before you take a seat. I went with the boat noodles because I wanted soup, while my husband went with the tom yum fried rice. The food arrived promptly and piping hot to our table. I was immediately off put by the type of veggies in my broth. There are no broccoli or carrots in traditional boat noodles. I tried the broth, and it was decent. However, there were also no beef balls in the soup, which is standard for this dish. The noodles were fine. I also noticed that the bean sprouts were already included in the soup, as I did not receive a separate plate of herbs for me to put into my bowl. The spice powder was also already mixed into my broth. I've had boat noodles plenty of times to know what goes into the dish and on the side. In contrast, my husband's fried rice was pretty good. It was a little moist but the flavors were good and the texture wasn't mushy. Again, the spices were already mixed into the rice. We both ordered a medium spicy and both of our dishes were pretty spicy. For what we paid, I expected better Thai food, but honestly, what can you truly expect from a tiny college town in the middle of Oregon? While we left with our bellies full, I was not truly satisfied. I'd like to try some of the other noodle dishes if we go through Corvallis again, as others seem to enjoy the stir fried noodle dishes, but Thai Chili is not high on my list.
