It is located between Pie Five Pizza and Corvallis Nail Spa with lots of ample parking. We were greeted immediately and seated accordingly, in compliance with Oregon & Benton County Covid guidelines. There was only 1 other customer dining inside, but the takeout business was very brisk with a constant flow of pick-up customers & Door Dash Delivery Drivers. On this occasion my wife and I went the family style route and shared, a Chinese-Style Chicken Salad, Chicken Wings, Pork Fried Rice & Lemon Chicken. They also have a Full-Service Bar and on this rather warm Sunday afternoon, I had a pint of the House Porter. The Chicken Salad was light & refreshing without filling you up. The Chicken Wings was clean & very tasty and went very well with my beer. For our main courses, the Pork Fried Rice was another clean dish that tasted great without being too greasy. The Lemon Chicken was a battered too heavily for my taste and took away from blending with the Lemon sauce. My wife and I really like the way they make the lightly battered Chicken for the Chicken Salad and wish they would make that as a Main Entree, if they haven't already... All in all, I would have to say this indoor dining experience was a pleasant one and a Chinese eatery that we would drive down from Salem to visit again. read more

Lunch special prices were quite reasonable however the overall quality and service were poor. The food itself lacked flavor. There were very few pieces of chicken in the kung pow chicken as it was mostly veggies and peanuts. The chicken sesame is unlike we have seen before. This is our second time getting food from Queen's Chopsticks. The first time was a week ago, my husband and I got the chicken lettuce wraps and some eggplant dish. The food was just okay and not very memorable. We just ordered again to give them a second try. We got the cumin lamb and the Szechuan style shredded pork from the traditional menu. My husband couldn't even eat his food because it was doused with salt. The cumin lamb pieces were decent but the vegetables that came with it were somehow tasteless even though we could see the spices in the dish. The owner doesn't know how to serve. He had no smile and a cold face from beginning to end. He also didn't know how to respect customers. When customers talked to him, he turned his back to the customers and walked while listening. When asked why he did that, he said it was because the customers were shouting, and no one was shouting at all. Dim sum in Corvallis! We've been waiting for three decades to have dim sum in town and it's finally here. The restaurant has been here for a long time but we had not tried it until recently. The takeout food was surprisingly good, and we were shocked to see some dim sum on the ordering page. Now we have more takeout and two dine-in meals under our belt and this is solidly our new favorite in town. Portland's dim sum might have more variety, but it's not worth driving 90 miles each way when we can have excellent dim sum all day any day right here. Queen's Chopstick used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant. It has disappointed me the last few times. Their quality has gone downhill. The salt & pepper squid was my favorite and now it's bland, chewy, and was lukewarm. I tried the pork belly fried rice today, and it is not good. I'm not a picky eater, but getting mouthfuls of just pork fat, no meat, is squishy and gross. They also don't have parking for curbside pick up and it was not stated clearly that you have to call to have them come outside to deliver it. I'm so disappointed. So...the Pad Thai, it was not good. I'm not sure what makes Pad Thai taste like Pad Thai, but neither do they. I should have read the reviews before ordering. My husband claims that he thinks ketchup was used in the sauce. However, I did try something I've never had before, jellyfish salad. The vinegar sauce, cabbage and herbs were delicious. I didn't detect flavor coming from the jellyfish, it just added visual and textural interest. I don't think I'll eat here again unless I see a big turnaround in the Yelp scores. read more

I've lived in Corvallis for decades, and based only on deliciousness, they are my go to. Their customer service is also to die for. Fantastic management. I ordered delivery to a hotel this evening and received no utensils. Despite my regrettably snarky tone when I called them, they promptly dispatched a young man to deliver me some chopsticks. I've loved their menu and quality for years, but for that gesture they've won my patronage for decades to come. Great management who are clearly concentrated on letting their food be the star. This place is so much better than the strip mall appearance would suggest. I am a big fan of scallion pancakes and thought they would be a great appetizer even if they were frozen and heated up. Imagine my surprise when we were served a plate of house-made scallion pancakes with just the right amount of chewiness and wonderful scallion flavor! We ordered Ma Po tofu and Eggplant in Garlic Sauce for our entrees. Portions were abundant and nicely presented. The tofu was silky and in a perfectly balanced sauce, while the eggplant was beautifully caramelized and hit just the right note of sweetness. Everything was homey and delicious. My first time here was a few years ago and I had gotten the Pad Thai. That was not the best idea given the restaurant specializes more in Chinese food. I've been looking for a spot that has Beef Chow Fun in Corvallis. Not just any Beef Chow Fun, but something close to Hong Kong Style. I've been spoiled growing up in Hawaii and having a dad that cooks Chinese food for a living. Almost all Chinese places at home have chow fun on the menu as it is a local favorite. So I've been on the hunt in Corvallis for a go to spot. So far, Queen's Chopstick has the closest flavor with the correct ingredients to how you'd find it traditionally made. A little greasy for me, but the flavor was great. The simple, yet comforting ingredients that are normally found in the dish were there. Nothing fancy and nothing extra. I do wish they used noodles that were fresh, but I understand that it's not a super popular dish in the Corvallis area so its not a necessity. The portion was great. They really filled the container up. I did an online order so I don't really have much to say about service. I will definitely be ordering more things to try from here! I could go on and I about the three times I've ordered food from here in the last month but I lack the writing skills to adequately convey the frustration I feel about the lack of consistency in taste/quality. Sadly, there are very few eateries that provide anything truly approximating a reliable, recommendable and repeatable taste/portions/texture. Starbucks and McDonalds make subpar products but they are at least the same flavor each time. More than I can say for the "generals chicken" from queens chop. The first time it was truly delicious, crispy, salty, creamy battered, fresh and juicy perfectly seasoned dish (has to be msg, nothing else tastes so good). Second time it was cold and not even close in flavor and this last time was the blandest Chinese food I've ever had. Oh. Em. Gee. So good. The dish I saw at a neighboring table and shamelessly inquired about wasn't on the menu I initially had, so I asked where to find it. I was given another menu... with decidedly more exotic options. I am so glad I asked! The skillet spare ribs were genuinely the best dish at ANY Chinese restaurant I've been to. And I've travelled quite a bit. The string beans were crispy and tasty, the salt and pepper squid, (a dish I often refuse to order because the disappointment is just too great when it's sub-par to Powell's Seafood in Portland), was easily equal to the most delicious I've had. The sesame chicken was not breaded and tasted less like sugar and more like... sesame. The portions are huge. We thought we ordered twice what we needed once it arrived, but it was so unbelievably good, we only needed one takeaway box. Finally, our wait staff were charming and informative. They helped with options and were very patient with my daughter's fascination with the lazy susan. Just lovely. I live in Los Angeles. I will come to Corvallis again for this place. read more

Stylish Asian food, presented proudly and tasty to boot! Visuals: The decor is pretty modern, and the plating has been pretty nice. The mixed appetizer tray was a tasty treat, with the beef skewers set atop a little grill-in-a-cup. (see photo) Service: Very attentive, as long as the restaurant is 3/4 or less full. When moderately busy, you won't go more than 5 minutes without the waiter asking how your meal is. The one time it was packed, they really need 1 more person. The food still comes out in a timely fashion, but you may be waiting for a few minutes to pay or get a drink refill. Price: Lunch special is only $6.50 for a good sized plate of food. Dinners don't run more than $15 on the higher-end. Overall, prices in line with standard Chinese takeout food, which is good considering the slightly above-average quality. Food: For the most part, everything we had was delicious and served piping hot. The fried foods, like General Tsao and Sweet and Sour chicken, are fried perfectly crispy without being overly greasy. The hot garlic chicken and beef with black bean sauce were tasty as well. I've had both egg flower and hot n' sour soups. The egg flower is a little bland, but the hot n' sour is pretty good. The one big letdown I had was the seafood bird's nest I had. The dish looked great, but the seafood was bland and a little fishy tasting. Overall, a very nice looking establishment with some good dishes. Been there 3 times this week, so they must be doing something right! Add another waiter during busy lunchtime, and a little better seafood, and it'd be 5 stars hands down. read more

When this place opened I tried it and was appalled, but sometimes restaurants have a rough start. After a few years of hearing people say it's the best, I decided to give it another try. I ordered Chinese Chicken Salad as takeout, so it wasn't until I got home that I discovered: for $6.95 I got about 6 oz. of iceberg lettuce drenched in a sugary creamy dressing, with a few pieces of chopped up General Tso's chicken across the top. (see photo) Unbelievable! Can't they afford to use real lettuce? How about some cilantro, crushed peanuts, cabbage, scallions, toasted sesame seeds? I've gone here before and found it average and as I was going to Winco and was a tad hungry I thought I'd get a little something; spring rolls and a small egg flower soup. The spring rolls were shit. Absolute shit. One was exploded and burned to a crisp. The other was a grease soaked mess, soaking through the paper and leaving a puddle on my table. Frankly, they were in such a state it was no doubt intentional. I took a picture for posterity it was that ridiculous. That's saying something as I'm too lazy to use my camera phone unless it's something really worthwhile like a dog riding a skateboard or a girl whose boob popped out while jogging. Queens chopstick has been a favorite of my boyfriend and I for over a year now. It is our go to Chinese food option in Corvallis. To be fair it is actually very apparently asian-fusion (the food is often sweeter, and more "americanized" versions of asian dishes). I have never once ordered take out, as the atmosphere is part of the reason we go! It boasts a very clean and welcoming style, very friendly and helpful staff and since we are always two, we usually get one of the two lovely booth/chair combo tables next to the window. The music is always on point as well. Basically, in place of traditional Chinese music lending the air of peace and authenticity, there is chill electronic vibe music playing at the perfect volume which adds to the "fusion" part of the restaurant category, and creates a younger more modern atmosphere. Although that vibe is prevalent, it is certainly not exclusive. All types of people seem to love it there. Cute older couples, families and lots of students are there all alike. For Chinese speakers, they even have a Chinese menu. I am unsure of whether or not it is the same menu just in Chinese, or if it is different all together, but it definitely lends some credibility with the Chinese client base. At Queens chopstick the wait time for food is about what would be expected at the average restaurant (maybe 10-15 minutes even when busy) and it is moderately priced (roughly 13 dollars a plate). The portions have also never left me or my boyfriend wanting at the end of the meal. Being a pescetarian, there are often limited options for me, but there are a bunch of veggie and pesce friendly options at this restaurant. My favorite dish is their honey walnut prawns, which are served of a bed of lettuce with a cute little cherry in the corner of the plate (for decoration?) and a bowl of white rice on the side. Since finding this higher quality version of this dish in a nicer location, I never have a reason to eat at Panda Express again. Not that I want anyone to compare this restaurant to Panda Express. Simply that the honey walnut shrimp at Panda was the one redeeming option of their food in my opinion, and since discovering a non-fast food version of the dish (and closer to my house) I will never revert back to my Panda regretting days! Another dish I highly recommend is the prawns with hot mandarin sauce, best described as moderately spicy and delicious. If you know a pescetarian (or are one) who misses orange chicken. This is an awesome substitute. It would definitely fill the craving. That being said, even if you are generic meat eating George, you will still enjoy these prawns. They can stand alone, but I like them with a good veggie Lo Main and some chili oil to add some spice. A good test of any asian-fusion restaurant is the hot and sour soup. Usually I prefer the more peppery versions of this particular soup so I am probably bias. The hot and sour soup at Queens chopsticks is quite good, not great (not very peppery), but good. I wouldn't go there for that, but sometimes it makes a warm and comforting start to the meal. For those of you twenty-one plus, Queens Chopstick also features a bar. I am not so lucky yet as to be able to try one of the many options for cocktails and drinks offered, but the ones served at the tables near me look great, and the descriptions look wonderful in general. So please, when you go, live vicariously for me and try one (then comment on my post and fill the knowledge gap in my Queens Chopstick review). For now I will stick with my Pepsi. Overall queens chopstick is great place to eat moderately priced Chinese food and have nice service in a welcoming and warm environment. There are a lot of options and pretty diverse options at that, so go try it, and try something new, or simply use it to upgrade from Panda. read more
